  1. I'm heading to bed, but I'll happily RP tomorrow
  2. My selkie character is finally ready! I can't wait to be a part of this exciting story (credit to mt26 for helping me with ideas!!!) Name: Seal-nāṣiren Age: 31 Pic: Gender: Female Royal blood: Since she is a selkie and not a mermaid, Seal-nāṣiren is not related to the royal family. However as a selkie she can take on a human form by removing her seal skin. (also she cannot manipulate water the way merfolk do) Appearance: In her true form, which is how she appears most of the time in the sea, Seal-nāṣiren is a plump, dappled grey seal. In human form she has a stocky, muscular build with soft, round shapes and an overall friendly appearance. She has very pale skin with heavy greyish freckles, and short, fluffy hair the color of seaweed. Her eyes are big, round and dark like the depths of the ocean, and her nose somewhat resembles that of a seal. When forging she wears a leather apron and gloves, as well as a red bandanna to keep her hair out of her face. Bio: While her soft seal features give her a cute and trustworthy appearance, this could not be further from the truth. Seal-nāṣiren is a total scammer, who sells merfolk's useless junk as treasure to humans, then uses that money to buy copious amounts of scrap metal from them to turn into low quality goods to then sell back to the merfolk. Unfortunately for them, she has an almost monopoly in weaponsmithing, as her selkie abilities make it much easier for her to move between land and the sea, and thus regularly visit her forge in a cave by the shore. She gained quite a bit of wealth from all this, and managed to bribe her way into winning the contract to supply the royal guard with weapons and armor - which is of course completely overpriced as well.
  3. Occasionally, yeah. I have 3 pages worth of various joke names I've used over the years, though I always come back to this one. Did you have answers for any of my questions? I'm sure we had many wonderful conversations together back before you left and it'd be so nice to know what they were
  4. Ok I will make a selkie character tomorrow
  5. Are selkie characters allowed?
  6. Hi! As a regular user of the forums for 7 years now I'm so happy to see another old user return! I heard you don't remember your old username, but I was friends with most people here back then and remember pretty much all active users from that time, so I can probably help you find your old account!

Here's a few questions to help you narrow it down:

-Who was your favorite nicheling? Back in the day we all knew each others favorites, so this could be a big lead!

-What rps were you a part of? You don't need to remember the exact title, just some general plot or what kind of characters you had. Were you ever part of my rps (Place of the Forgotten Ones, Island of Fire, etc.) or the Niche World War?

-Did you post art or feature suggestions? I've read every thread in the Niche fanart section, so if you show me a sample of your artstyle I will probably recognize it. (I've also read every feature request aside from the archived ones, but those are from before even I joined, so if you tell me a thing you suggested I can easily track it down)

-What forum dramas were you involved in? Remember how we had a ton of those back in the day? So glad things have calmed down, right?

-What about forum activities? Did you ever enter miss/mister Niche, Hungergames, funny pfp themes, president cactus war, etc?

Again, I'm so excited to be able to reunite with an old friend like this! ❤️ I may not know who you are yet, but I'm so glad to see you again!

  7. How did you even get it formatted like that?

    Everything WOF

How is this a forum game? XD
  9. I used to really like Thistleclaw but then Spottedleaf's Heart came out and... yeah.
  10. Suggestion to make this more interesting: Think about how the roleswap would really shake up the story. Nala has an unique personality and would pobably make different choises than Simba does, which might change things
  11. *evil laughter in the distance* *hits you with the @dolan beam based on artstyle* edit: actually I think I'd pair you with @SafiraCoyfolf
  12. Ugh, reminds me of trying to listen to Wildwood. Kept either falling asleep or getting distracted Anyway, what happens in book three is basically this
  13. Hello I'm currently very hyperfixated on that last one

Ough, that sucks. My grades would come crashing down from having internet access during lesson time

I got to watch youtube videos (Ginga AMVs, Warriorcats stuff, StacyPlays) and play browser games since I was 5 but mom was always keeping watch, and the only thing I got to make an account on before I was 12 was a book review site

Welp, at least this is a safe, kidfriendly site, but it still makes me worry for their other internet usage. Seven year olds are supposed to be playing outside or with toys, not staring at a screen all day. (of course there's always the chance that they get like an hour of computer time with a parent keeping watch, and looking for coloring pages or bases online isn't too alarming)

2018? Wasn't that like... last year? ;-; These forums are older than you. I have been using this website for as long as you've been alive. I'm having an existencial crisis

Probably the devs and bannergirl411 (literal grown adults with jobs and families and everything) though I don't know their exact ages and don't feel like digging through hundreds of old posts for that information right now
  19. I'll watch it eventually, unless I die/society crumbles before I'm 35. Just don't want to lose my "never watched StarWars" card yet when I have so much other stuff on my watchlist (plus movies are a lot harder to make time for than cartoon episodes)
  20. One of the many reasons why I haven't watched Starwars. I'm sure I'd like it, saw half a movie once and hyperfixated on space for like a week, but I'm not ready for such a big, mainstream fandom, let alone letting it overshadow my more niche interests
  21. Weirdly enough, I kind of group you with Andromeda sometimes. Maybe because I got to know both of you better through PotFO
  22. Tales from Watership Down. It's a collection of shorter stories set between the final battle and the epilogue. The first few are more rabbit mythology and really surreal, but there's a gradual shift to more comprehensible stuff, and the ones toward the end are really good
