  1. My selkie character is finally ready! I can't wait to be a part of this exciting story (credit to mt26 for helping me with ideas!!!)

    Name: Seal-nāṣiren

    Age: 31

    Pic:

    sealnasiren.thumb.png.3a0cdfffa2ae50b56728b9a6999f7c7e.png

    Gender: Female

Royal blood: Since she is a selkie and not a mermaid, Seal-nāṣiren is not related to the royal family. However as a selkie she can take on a human form by removing her seal skin. (also she cannot manipulate water the way merfolk do)

Appearance: In her true form, which is how she appears most of the time in the sea, Seal-nāṣiren is a plump, dappled grey seal. In human form she has a stocky, muscular build with soft, round shapes and an overall friendly appearance. She has very pale skin with heavy greyish freckles, and short, fluffy hair the color of seaweed. Her eyes are big, round and dark like the depths of the ocean, and her nose somewhat resembles that of a seal. When forging she wears a leather apron and gloves, as well as a red bandanna to keep her hair out of her face.

Bio: While her soft seal features give her a cute and trustworthy appearance, this could not be further from the truth. Seal-nāṣiren is a total scammer, who sells merfolk's useless junk as treasure to humans, then uses that money to buy copious amounts of scrap metal from them to turn into low quality goods to then sell back to the merfolk. Unfortunately for them, she has an almost monopoly in weaponsmithing, as her selkie abilities make it much easier for her to move between land and the sea, and thus regularly visit her forge in a cave by the shore. She gained quite a bit of wealth from all this, and managed to bribe her way into winning the contract to supply the royal guard with weapons and armor - which is of course completely overpriced as well.

    KK,And I did see your text,after 2 years I came back,Didn't you have a diff name?

Occasionally, yeah. I have 3 pages worth of various joke names I've used over the years, though I always come back to this one. Did you have answers for any of my questions? I'm sure we had many wonderful conversations together back before you left and it'd be so nice to know what they were

For my school they make us take our laptops to every lesson we have

Ough, that sucks. My grades would come crashing down from having internet access during lesson time

I was only allowed internet usage at 12-13, if you're getting this at seven that could genuinely harm you 😭😭

I got to watch youtube videos (Ginga AMVs, Warriorcats stuff, StacyPlays) and play browser games since I was 5 but mom was always keeping watch, and the only thing I got to make an account on before I was 12 was a book review site

I just hope 2018 isn't this person's real date of birth and they're joking or something. because thats way too young to be signing up for anything online 💀

Welp, at least this is a safe, kidfriendly site, but it still makes me worry for their other internet usage. Seven year olds are supposed to be playing outside or with toys, not staring at a screen all day. (of course there's always the chance that they get like an hour of computer time with a parent keeping watch, and looking for coloring pages or bases online isn't too alarming)

Hehe we don't know how old the oldest person is on here..

Probably the devs and bannergirl411 (literal grown adults with jobs and families and everything) though I don't know their exact ages and don't feel like digging through hundreds of old posts for that information right now

It's worth it if you ever feel up to it, I recommend some of the animated shows specifically The Bad Batch and The Clone Wars (first few seasons are ahh please ignore 😭🙏)

But if you feel like you're never really gonna watch if for that reason that's cool too 👍👍👍

I'll watch it eventually, unless I die/society crumbles before I'm 35. Just don't want to lose my "never watched StarWars" card yet when I have so much other stuff on my watchlist (plus movies are a lot harder to make time for than cartoon episodes)

  11. One of the many reasons why I haven't watched Starwars. I'm sure I'd like it, saw half a movie once and hyperfixated on space for like a week, but I'm not ready for such a big, mainstream fandom, let alone letting it overshadow my more niche interests

WATERSHIP DOWN WATERSHIP DOWN WATERSHIP DOWN WATERSHIP DOWN WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERES ANOTHER BOOK TELL ME IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tales from Watership Down. It's a collection of shorter stories set between the final battle and the epilogue. The first few are more rabbit mythology and really surreal, but there's a gradual shift to more comprehensible stuff, and the ones toward the end are really good

  13. Guy was built to kill people, prefers to watch TV (book series)

Bunnies die horribly (book (actually two books but nobody's heard of the other one)/movie/cartoon/netflix series)

Harry Potter in Russia (book series) (i have not read hp so idk how accurate this is but it sounded funny in my head)

Medieval rags to riches because your friend is an idiot (video game)

Your average horsegirl story involving a housefire and a giraffe (book, several of them actually)
