I think only one baby would be born. The female to give birth would be chosen by rank. If they have the same rank then randomly.

More plaaaaaaaants!!! Fern: Appears in jungle biomes, can be destroyed with 4 strength to get 3 nesting material, can't be stepped on, regrows. Flowers: Appears in easy islands, can't be destroyed or covered by grass, attracts rabbils, can be stepped on. Short grass: Appears in grassland and savannah biomes, can be stepped on, doesnt do anything special XD Weird leafy sorrel thing: Appears in grasslands and jungles, heals one day of damage, can't be stepped on, regrows. Cucumber/pumpkin thing: Appears in jungles, "fruits"(?) can be harvested for 3 food, fruit regrows, can be destroyed with 4 strength to ged 3 food and 2 nesting material, can't be stepped on, doesn't regrow after being destroyed.

What if you have a challenge tribe with a set tribe size, and after the challenge is done, you want to continue with that tribe?

Yep. And when I would get a breeding pair, I'd have to move them together before them becoming adults. Maybe I would change that to 5 days as an adult...

You could set yourself a tribe size limit, that you could change during game (if you watch Niche: Whims of fate, you know why this is needed). When your tribe is full, you can't invite wanderers. You can have your nichelings mate, but no babies will be born before there's room in the tribe. If you have multiple females on nest, but not enough room in the tribe for all of the babies, the females with he highest rank will give birth first. If you have too many females of the highest rank, the oldest ones give birth first. You can't set the tribe limit smaller than your tribe is. You'll need to get rid of your extra creatures before making the limit smaller.

It's not a bug. You're not supposed to get to harder islands from whale island in story mode
