  1. Well I did not know that, but I think female peacock tail looks nice how it is
  2. I dont know if its a bug, but rabbils just dont care about the nichelings trying to eat them! Aren't they supposed to flee?
  3. I really think this is not a bug. Its sexual dimorphism, females dont have a tail while males do. Even if its a bug, I think it looks nice.
  4. Well, its quite fast, heavy and persistent, so bluebirds dont attack it. Bearyenas dont bother hunting it because its so fast, but arctic ramfoxes seem to be the only creatures that bother hunting it, and also apes seem to like being around them for some reason. I read about the pythadillo(really cool by the way) and I think the bandit bird would prey on it, because it hunts prey by swallowing them whole, its spikes could keep it at bay, but the bird is resistant to toxins and all it needs is to swallow the lizard, but I think the bird would still not like hunting pythadillo.
  5. The magpheasant or bandit bird is like a pheasant with magpie colors. It starts out with a somewhat thin body, it tries to avoid nichelings, it moves every time a nicheling moves and it can move up to 2 tiles at a time, preferring to stay at least one tile away from a nicheling. Its about the size of a dodomingo and it can eat almost anything smaller than itself, it oneshots bunnies and crabbits, it can catch any fish, and crack any nut or eat any berry, and its constantly trying to travel to the next food source, so it steals a lot, it lives for 80 days and only gives one food if killed, sometimes, however, the more it eats, the fatter it gets, and it can have in its body up to 60 food! A far bandit bird means you can get huge amounts of food, so you need to spy it closely if you want big loot. A few days after it reaches maximum capacity, it will try to find a nest to lay an egg, wich gives 10 food if cracked, but it will hatch in 3 days, after that, it will stay 4 days as a baby, and each day, its mother will feed it one quarter of the food she has stored, eventually emptying herself, so you can leave her if you want a second bandit bird. Aside from attacking her, you can feed her 5 food, but this is only useful for getting to max capacity so she can lay an egg, or if you want to use her store food in case of emergency. Also, you can startle her, causing her to vomit a small amount of the food she has stored, so you can do this if you dont want to kill her and still get food from her, that way, she can keep getting food you can then gather from her.
  6. Thats an interesting idea, and the egg coul have cracking resistance so you need more that just 1cracking to open it
  7. Redbird: Burning savannah has few predators, so the redbird is a rarer bluebird subspecies that lives on that island. Its basically a bluebird that can take away even two gemed creatures, and it has red feathers instead of blue. Its more likely to spawn over a wildfire, somewhat resembling a phoenix. An extra feature could be that it descends on ash piles to make a nest with edible eggs that will eventually hatch and become normal redbirds. Falcle: I already mentioned this idea, but a falcle is a mix between eagle and falcon, its really big and its invincible. It only spawns in killer islands and stays for five days, making a distinct screech. It behaves like a bluebird. It can and will take away any creature and it has 6 sight, 1 smell and 2 hearing. This predator promotes teamwork, and is meant to be an ultimate predator. It wont take away nichelings that are in groups of 3 or more, also it cant take away nichelings that are well camouflaged or under a tree. The rogue falcle is rare even for such a rare creature, but this one is just an extra idea. its a falcle with a darker brown color and is a female in heat, it is the same but moves a little faster and stays for 7 days. After 7 days it will land anywhere and make a nest wich she will guard for 8 days, but she will be almost harmless. She protects and egg that gives 20 food if destroyed, but they have 3 defence. She will attack inturders, but she can be distracted by one creature while the other attacks the egg. Not breaking it will result in it hatching into a normal falcle.
  8. but a big mouth would be cooler than pelican head.
  9. well, wings are actually bat wings and feather ish genes are more like modified hair
  10. Lately I have been thinking of an island where everything is focused around the nichelings, savage island, also called rogue island, is a place full of berries and bunnies, with plenty of trees. It looks like the grasslands, but it has more trees and more types of trees, and its darker, wich could remind you of the jungle. Food is not a problem there, many food sources are plentiful, and nichelings of all kinds have lived here for generations, so you are more likely to find wandering nichelings with rare genes here. So why is this a killer island? Well, nichelings have lived here since ancient times, and they are as common as bunnies(just lorewise, they are not really as common as bunies) So predators have adapted specifically to hunt them( and I will get to that in a bit) also, rogue males live here, and also, rogue females, also known as lonely ladies( The rogue female idea is not mine.) Rogue females look like female rogue males, but they spawn pregnant with a baby with bad genes, they will look for nests and steal them, and maybe they can swap tiles with a female on the nest, they will leave the baby to you and mate again or release one of your babies from the pack and make it follow her, and you can only get it back by killing the female or giving the baby 5 food. Now lets talk about the predators( BWAHAHAHAHA!) Mataconda: This is a stealthy killer with two forms, and it looks like an anaconda, but with four short legs, and its neck is long so it can look down upon its prey. It cant be smelled or heard properly because it mimics the scent and sound of a nicheling, so smelling or hearing it will show you a rogue male with a yellow aura instead of red. It moves one tile every time a nicheling moves, and once it finds a nicheling, it swallows it and changes into its fat form, and it will move five tiles away from the nichelings after eating. It is like a moving carnivore plant, its normal form moves during the day and targets nichelings, and its digesting form is fat and tries to avoid nichelings, and it only moves five tiles every night until it finishes digestion. When full, it will try to find a tree to climb it and finish digestion. It lives for fifty days. Its deadly and its hard to save a nicheling from it, because it will only spit it out if it recieves 15 damage in one day, but it can be baited towards rogues, it loves every type of nicheling. Maybe its normal form could move five tiles every night and every time a nicheling moves in its fat form, to make it easier to spot and avoid, Stats: Normal: 1 speed, 2 eyesight, 4 smelling, 3 hearing, 1 swallow, 1 defense, 1 climbing. Fat: 5 speed, and the same stats as before but with 3 defense. Toxcat: Its a yellow feline that hunts in packs from 2 to rarely 5 members, and its quite similar to a ramfox in terms of stats. It moves during the day, making it very deadly. Its not toxic, but it moves every time a nicheling moves and each one deals 2 attack, also it prefers to go towards babies and nichelings with less energy, however, toxcats will not attack nichelings that have bigger groups than them, for example, if 3 nichelings are next to each other, a pack of 2 toxcats will flee. Rogue falcle: The ultimate predator, it looks like a mix between an eagle an a falcon with brown and white colors and its huge, larger than an adult nicheling. It will make a distinct screech when it shows up and it will stay in the skies for five days before it leaves. It behaves like a bluebird, but this one is invincible and it will take away any creature, even adult nichelings. However, if three nichelings stay together, in triangle formation, it wont take them, this also means it wont take toxcats in large groups. If a nicheling is alone, it can try hiding in the shade of a thick leaved tree, wich is only found in this island, but this tree is very rare and matacondas like to hide there, so another option is to hide in the grass, but you would need over 8 camouflage to hide properly. the falcle will fly all over the island, so it wont stay in a particular spot. Its deadly, but it only stays 5 days.
  11. I think it would also be great if we could customize the predators and prey, we could change their stats, and we could change their main colors, we could also have the option to create a new creature from an existing one, for example, I choose to create a new creature, use the balance bear as a base, make it black, extend its claws a bit, give it better stats and make it spawn in jungle islands, or I could make a bluebird larger, red and make it able to take away adults!
  12. Jojo thats a good point. But maybe if you start a new sandbox or story mode, you could have the option to have them if you want, for example, you start a new game, and a bubble appears with yes or no for invasive species, like a simpler version of the more customization thing.
  13. We could say that nichelings are kind of invasive and harmful towards ecosystems with tall grass, but I think a pure, destructive invasive species would be great! I think players should have the option to chose if they want invasive species when starting a new save file, since they can show up in any island and greatly raise the difficulty. There would be two main invasive species, but first, here are their main characteristics: They have a chance of spawning in the ports after a certain amount of time has passed since the nichelings arrived, and they can come in groups of three to six. after that, they will move every time one of the player's nichelings moves, and they will search for resources like berries or burrows. The group could stay together or spread out. During the night, they will spit a tar-like substance on a tile, but only once they have found a good base to start(like a burrow or a bush.) This tile will turn grey with a rocky appearance, and will be surrounded by green smoke, any creature that stands on it or interacts with it( like grabbing berries) will take damage. The only species capable of standing on it is the invasive creature. If they turn a nest, rabbil burrow or mole hole into one of their tiles, the rabbils or moles wont be able to spawn, but the ivasive critters will spawn instead. If a tree or bush has been taken over, gathering from it will deal one damage. And a normal tile that has been taken over will also deal damage if you stand on it and it has a chance of spawning the creatures, but the chance is smaller than in nests or burrows. Also, the invasive species will eat berries, any object that can be cracked, and meat. Five strength is required to turn a tile back to normal. You can end the invasion by destroying all the tiles that have been taken over, and by killing all of the creatures before they start taking over tiles again. Its useful to have nichelings guarding the ports, so they can kill the invaders before they start building their hive. They cant attack and you only need 2 strength to kill them, so they only become dangerous once they have started transforming tiles. The two species are: Frats: Like rats with pointy ears, small claws and a short, fluffy tail with grey or orange color and a white underbelly, they look innocent and cute, nut they are savage! They will target nests or burrows to take over first, getting rid of the bunnies or moles living on them, and they will spread out from there. They also love berries and nesting material. They prefer to take over other creature's homes than taking over food sources, so they can get more spawn points, they are also preety fast. stats: 3 speed, 2 eyesight, 2 cracking, 2 collecting, 2 smell, 3 hearing, 1 heat resistance, 1 cold resistance. Parrgull: Like a parrot with a seagull beak, and green and purple colors, they are like frats, but they prefer to take over berry bushes and other food sources, so they don't usually spawn as often as frats do because they prioritize food over nesting grounds, but they can be more dangerous because they take over the best feeding grounds before spreading their kingdom tho the rest of the island. The tiles they take over have green smoke instead of brown, but they still have a rocky appearance. Stats: 8 flying, 3 eyesight, 2 cracking, 2 collecting, 1 smell, 2 hearing, 1 heat resistance, 1 cold resistance. What do you think of this idea? Also I thinked of a water based invasive species, but the water is not as developed as the land. Can someone draw a concept of the corrupted tiles and the creatures? I wanted to make one but im a bad drawer.
