  1. I would like to enter! I'm not home right now, but I'll send you the genes of my nicheling later.
  2. Lareis needs to breed with an unrelated male, so she mates with Kirro (Elre's red rogue son). We also welcome a new baby: Konlur, Isneme's kid with the heat body rogue male son-of-a- But he has a claw, so he's not too bad. We build a group with the future breeding females, now we only need a male for them. Another bearyena pops up right at the nursery. Also, my tribe size, food count and nesting material count couldn't be more perfect. Oh, hello there! Welcome new breeding male Lurta! The blind baby has been taken by a bluebird...totally not intentionally... But they will try again. The bearyena kills Raodukdon, who was one of my favourite babies (the pinkish scorpion tail boy) Raresi sacrifices herself, but she can't stop the bearyena from going after tiny Neelsi. Hello Mister Defender Bear, our baby just got murdered. Could you go after the murderer? Kolen gets her third baby, Larara. She looks just like her dead brother, except for the missing scorpion tail. Mating again, I want another scorpion baby. You won't kill any of my breeding females. Oh my god, peacocktail! And Savannahorns! Welcome Raonu. Fitami gets pregnant with Lurta's, (alias purring scorpion) baby. Lareis has Kirro's daughter. Rareis looks a lot like her dad, and isn't half as pretty as her mom, but has decent fertility. Lafiana too mates with Lurta. The tribe is still doing surprisingly well.
  3. The yellow wanderer Donkannu mates with practically everyone, including Raresi, Kolen and Isneme. Prikan calls out for a potential mate. SO many things are happening. A wanderer, a defender bear and a bearyena spawn. Hi Nuduknu! Nekoly gets made into a sacrifice to make the defender bear angry. Are you kidding me? Come on now, can't you just kill the nicheling I offer you instead of wandering through the camp? Family reunion. Fitami gets born, the first baby from yellow Donkannu. She has nimble fingers, claw and ram. Her fertility is the only thing bad about her. Kolen gives birth to Lafiana. We build a little harem. Kolen and Lurtadon are not related, while Lurtadon and Relen are half-siblings. But I hope for some good genes, so they still mate. Meanwhile, the bearyena finally takes interest in our sacrifice, after killing Prikan (the pink guy on the stump). He kills Nekoly, only to go after Anamiel, the black derp snout. Raresi gets her baby, almost infertile Rera. And the defender bear couldn't care less about the murderous bearyena, while my other tribes get murdered because the attacked a rogue male... Oh, you son of a- Kirvan and the waaay older no-clue-what-her-name-is mate. Oh hell no. You already killed three of my creatures, don't you dare kill a fourth one. I have had enough, screw the defender bear, you are dead. Raodukdon gets born, and he has a scorpion tail! Neelsi is also really cute, it's good to see that the savanna horns are still here. Oh come on! Anais wants to join the red fur club. She's in! The bearyena kills my dear yellow Donkannu. I was planning on having more babies with him, so his mate and her daughters revenge him by killing the bearyena. Lareis has a peacocktail! Didn't notice that until now. What happened here? Seems like both of them had blind eyes recessive, despite having good eyesight. Bummer. To be continued...
  4. First off I'd like to say that this challenge has made me hate defender bears even more, while my love for the peaceful bear has grown (he's still really creepy though). We start off with adorable little Mitalen. We are also really lucky, since we have a berry bush right next to us! We pick a lot of berries, then Mitalen decides to search for a mate. And we find Vannu. Mitalen and Vannu mate. I'm happy that it works despite his bad fertility. We have found a really nice place with lots of food! We find another wanderer, Raolur. He's absolutely adorable and I want to have scorpion tale, so he gets invited. He even discovers a permanent nest. Mitalen gives birth to her baby. It's a girl. Uh-oh. We find another wanderer who we take in. We plan on using him as a meat shield. Also, someone got murdered. I think it was Vannu? Even more fun: We search the spiky bodied wanderer, since we need a new meat shield. Here she is: Please don't kill us, defender bear. Also, say hi to Mitalen and Raolur's baby boy. Great, another one. Our meat shield has died, but a new one has arrived! Also, passively aggressive defender bears. Both kids and the meatshield die, Mitalen gives birth to her third baby who has his mom's horns. Another defender bear appears, but he doesn't seem to have a problem with us. New pack member and potential meat shield! Hi Koriis. Mitalen gives birth to Milyra. She has an adorable pattern! Koriis gives birth to Elre. Sadly, she doesn't have her moms body nor her colour. Gaaah, more bearyenas. They killed Raolur, who sacrificed himself. Koriis gets killed, Milyra as well, the clan runs towards the right. Mitalen adopts little baby Elre, and hides in the grasses to give birth to Raresi. Her now adult son has fled even further. A dumb rogue male mates with Mitalen. We are still on the run and try to stay close to the peaceful bear. Elre has joined Nokir and they discover and invite Talurrao. Mitalen gives birth to her rogue child, with the bearyena lurking in the background. A derpsnouted female wanderer is around, but we don't invite her. Mitalen dies, her daughter Raresi tries to save her baby brother, but he only has one movement and gets killed. She finds a baby named Kolen and decides to adopt her and care for her.Meanwhile, Elre has grown up and wanders of to start a family with the yellow wanderer Talurrao. But she gets impregnated by a rogue male first. She gives birth to her rogue son Kirro. Raresi gets impregnated by a rogue male too, while she and Kolen travel back to the original camp. Elre gives birth to her second baby, this time with her actual mate. Rifiel is cute, though I am wondering where the cracker jaw came from. So, remember the derp snouted baby wanderer that we didn't invite? She actually turned up at Nokir's place (Mitalen's only surviving son) we invited her and when she grew up the two mated. Now, a new, absolutely gorgeous, wanderer has arrived. Isneme has both nimble fingers and claw, not to mention her beautiful pattern, eyecolour and horns. Naturally, she gets invited as well. She also mates with Nokir. Meanwhile, Raresi gives birth to her rogue baby. He's not that bad, so we decide to keep him. Nokir's first baby gets born. Lurtadon is frickin adorable (I love long snouts) and his ram horns are a nice surprise, not to mention his pretty fur. Elre's family makes their way towards the main camp. Kolen becomes an adult and mates with...Nokir! A bearyena appears and murders Talurrao (Elre's yellow wanderer mate). Elre who is still pregnant runs away, while her kids try to do the same. The bearyena murders baby Rifiel, while her brother manages to get away. Elre gives birth to another cracker jaw baby whom she names Raodon. Meanwhile our beautiful Isneme gives birth to gorgeous Relen. Absolute chaos ensues at the other half of the camp. The bearyena runs after my beautiful yellow ram horn baby Lurtadon. A defender bear follows him, but is useless so far. Three rogue males have spanned. Nokir jumps next to his son and gets killed instead of him. The defender bear finally catches up with the bearyena. The bearyena get's himself stunned and the defender bear decides that this doesn't interest him anymore. Kolen gives birth to her gorgeous son Kirvan. As you can see on the right side of the picture, another bearyena has appeared right next to Elre's remaining family. We build a nursery and two babies get born. Anamiel looks nothing at all like her brother, as she has her mom's derp snout, the same black fur and a water body out of nowhere. He could be from Mitalen. The other baby, Nekoly, is again a rogue male baby. On the other side, the bearyena has killed Elre and her cracker jaw son, leaving only her first born rogue male kid alive. Kolen finds the pack a new male. Donkannu has terrible fertility, but a claw and ram horns. Lareis gets born, just as beautiful as her mother. I'm honestly really surprised that I managed to survive until now. I think one of my favourite things about this challenge is that you're never really save. Bearyenas can always appear and kill you. The other thing is that so many babies die. I think this makes the gameplay way more realistic. Also, how the hell did I manage to never get a sickly baby that died right after being born?
  5. I added some, but my favourite is ly for the females. I've already got an Elly, a Islyla - just nice names altogether.
  6. I was just playing with a new tribe on Deadly Hills, and then something happened. I tried to have some gods before, but they didn't really do anything, so it didn't feel like they deserved being a god. So, in this savefile, I started with three random females on deadly hills. One got killed before she could have kids, but the two others - an orange female with webbed hindlegs and gills and a white/beige cracker jaw female named Meme both had kids. The orange female had a daughter with a rogue male, this daughter then had two sons with another rougue male and one of those two sons then had some kids with a wanderer. This is one tribe that I have on the island (we are on day 110 now). The other female, Meme, found a beautiful male with scorpion tail, had a kid with him, then found a male with a bat wing, she and her daughter had a kid with that guy, etc. This is the other tribe. Fast forward some generations. We have some beautiful nichelings, one of them is this female: She migrates to another part of the island (on the right, you can see the stream) so she can start a family. There, she gets attacked by two bearyenas, one of them having a baby. She flees, gets impregnated by a rogue male, then dies before having her child. Alright, next try. The female and male in the bottom right corner migrate again. They get attacked immediately, and he sacrifices himself. There's a tamed bearyena around (think the other female tamed it) and she tries to mate with him while running away from the other bearyena attacking. Her fertility however is really low (1), so it doesn't work. I already prepare myself for her death and then, she manages to get pregnant. The other bearyena is gone, nowhere to be seen. She builds her nest on the shore. The baby is wonderful, he unlocks the bearyena ears and the bearyena snout. Meanwhile, another bearyena has appeared, you can see a teen friendly bearyena around him. But whatever, the mother will be able to protect him, it should be alright. The bearyena kills him. He couldn't even grow one gem, and he just swoopes him right away. The mother however, survives. The friendly bearyena is around again, so she mates with him. It's her last day, but miraculously, she manages to mate with him. She builds her nest again, setteling down. Next to her, a bearyena appears. During the night, he gets killed by another, friendly bearyena. As she grows her first gem, another bearyena emerges besides her. (On the tile to her left. On the two grassy tales right above that one (not the one that you can see through) there are two friendly bearyenas. I scoot her over, but I'm prepared for her to die. But the bearyena just eats the meat next to her nest and then turns around and attacks the friendly baby behind him. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been so shocked and surprised by Niche before. She has her second gem now, and attacks the bearyena, killing him in one blow. The next day, she befriends the baby with his meat. I know that this was a little bit incomprehensible, but I just wanted to share the whole story, I'm still amazed. Anyway, she's now my goddess of life, balance ad justice and her brother is the god of death, as well of balance and justice too. They both work like a scale that needs to be balanced out. The bearyena killed him but somehow spared his mother, while she got saved as a counter weight to that.
  7. Just got those today, while playing on Deadly Hills: She was the first to have hybrid genes. Also, her daughter was named Fire by the game itself. And her. This is the first tribe in which I really try to have more wanderer blood and less inbreeding. She and her mate were practically infertile (She had a one, he a two) but they had three children.
  8. Oh, I have some too! My sister loves derp snout, so I made a tribe with her where everyone has it. My personal favourite: His reincarnation: Her favourite & reincarnation: Other playthrough: Again, other playthrough:
  9. Sorry for the late reply, I was just about to make him today and was thinking of a name. Kirnuku it is then!
  10. I've been getting weird starters even with the default settings in sandbox mode. Tons and tons of toxic body starters, often paired with water genes. I can't even count how often I've already had Platypus Beak starters with water body and at least one webbed paw. I don't now if that's completely normal, but it kinda annoys me.
  11. Sad that both Meana and Roku died after their great time with their murderer pack. Also, I like the amount of explosives they had.
  12. -keeping recessive albinism around because of it's "history" and then going to the jungle (the tribe survived, though) -Being too proud to run away from a bearyena because this berrybush belongs to me! -Breed siblings together, get a bunch of babies that you can't really use, get a high tribe size, move to different island with the three new breeding pairs, repeat
  13. Lost child hears a call. She carefully makes her way towards the direction the sound came from.
  14. I'm just going to add the savefile of this playthrough here, so I can delete it and play the new update. Slot4.nichesave
  15. So, this is the National Anthem of America but in Nicheling Explorer - because why not? I didn't post this in the Nicheling Explorer topic because I feel like this is too big. This is only half of the anthem but I gotta go now and I think it is already quite long. I will add the rest later on.
  16. I am really sorry about the delayed answer. For the thing with the babies: I thought about it and I think I will add that if a female has more kids than a higher ranked female (for example if the higher ranked female had a lot of sick babies were thrown out) then they would take over their place, but only if they are right behind her in rank or all females between them also have less kids than her. For the thing with the males: I knew that they normally wander off but I kinda like the idea of complete chaos and a lot of sick babes if the related males stay 😉On the other hand I think that a limit of males would be fun. I think the overthrowing in this challenge just works in the fact that once the highest ranking male dies, the second highest male becomes the highest ranked.
  17. Thank you so much for that! Now I finally know what I need to breed to get him. Thanks!
  18. I found this guy on the nicheling explorer and he has been my favourite ever since. I plan on breeding him one day but I don't know his full pattern. I'm pretty sure he has pattern shape C, but since I don't use the console (because I think I'll get too addicted if I ever use it plus I'm enormously scared of bugs) I thought that maybe someone could help me find it. Also, does anyone have a better name for him than his nicheling explorer one?
  19. I want to try to! I'm on my phone and I can't even write correctly with it with my eyes open. Gogglesub Weeeell...
