One day, a creature appeared. Uglier than all before him, every branch of the island shook with rightous indignation.
Err -- no. That one
The major threat toddled before the council. Matters of great importance were scheduled today. Is Maya's fur a nice shade of black with a wonderful beige/black pattern? Or is she a moss brown traitor in disguise with a hidden streak of YELLOw?
Done with this ****All order was lost when a big eared wanderer appeared. The new generation fled the island.-

A new alliance formed under Silver. Their rules would be clear. The survival of the group would take precedence above all.
And they themselves would die when the situation asked for it.
Eventually, Silver herself was found deficient. The no paw Cinnamon takes her rank in the council. While she was the hope for the great beak and unremarkable poison fangs, he might bring big ears. Yellow fur becomes the new death sentence.

With their parents providing so little, the group comes up with creative ways to split their share. Games, at first. But competing is tiring and some stop to bother. Why would they, when they always lose?
Some decide to hunt on their own.
Others were born on the wrong day and starved.
Before they knew it, they were all alone
Unsavoury tasks fell to the weak again. Taku was born slow, disfigured and helpless. A prime candidate.
A question remains. What inherent deficiency distinguishes the powerless?

Bumblebee makes sure to tell her children how beautiful they look everyday. No one will be mocked again.
While everyone being sucessfully made equal is an achievement, she worries. How will she feed her family with resources so tight?
Soon enough, somebody has a bad idea.
Their efforts attract the pity of a rather grumpy wanderer. At least they have a healer now.
It's not enough.

Raisin looses her charm day by day. But Bee still remains youthful. Clearly, she now needs to convince the others that her sister has grown weak and useless, not herself! What would they do to her?
Before the yellow nicheling can comprehend her ill fate, she is left all alone in the grasses.
It's not meant to last. Bumblebee and Elk soon learn to despise their abductor. However, they wish to be better than their bloodline. All alone, Raisin should learn what fate she had bestowed on others.
Never again would they allow strife.

Dukdukdukvan is an eyesore. Still, the nicheling has a way with words -- and especially young girls with daddy issues. His beige C Pattern and orange fur seem strangely appealing to an airheaded Bee.
Lari finds his ways unacceptable. They biker and biker. Raisin, never one to let an opportunity slip by, pushes her way in. "If you help me, I will help you. All I ask is this: accept me as your leader!". Shortly after, Dukdukdukvan, very much of the practical persuasion, drags a screaming Lari into the grasses.
Raisin is pleased. While little Bee's family was blessed by burning red horns, they're small, snapable stalks. No one will be able to question her judgement. Or her beauty. Truth be told, garish yellow fur is something she wouldn't want in a mate. As the only non- yellow nicheling, why shouldn't it be the mark of her supremacy?

The first born Lari is very angry with her mother. Eve, after all, could have saved Adam thanks to her swimming skill. She winds up her younger siblings and they sneak away by the next morning.
It's not easy. It never is. Little Bee was her father's beautiful golden child. But taking care of her spoiled baby sister proved a lot easier than catering to an upset Raisin. Raisin had Adam's ugly, pitch black eyes. She loved his deep gaze once, but now these hallmarks evoke a deep sense of anger.
Raisin never was as impressible, either. While little Bee soaks up her big sisters teachings, the middle child stays defiant. Soon she grows stronger, bigger and faster than Lari.
Conflict boils. The middle child feels unjustly blamed for her lack of skill. Meanwhile "ugly" Lari thinks they keep her for any dirty work in need of doing. However, family bounds are stronger than that. The sisters stick together.
Until a too smoth stranger enters the picture

As you can see, Eve is very ugly. Swimming tail, big nose and black eyes mark as such. Luckily for her, Adam is very kind-hearted and ugly himself.
The swimming tail/fishing tail has to go, though. Adam receives Orange eyes while Eve is assigned the cosmetic mask.
All goes well for long. However, the island is too small for their family. Eve insists that they need to move while Adam persists on finding his way home. Over many moons, their fights slowly escalate. One fateful day, he accuses her of being uglier than the night is dark, promptly slips on the rain-wet rocks and drowns.

In opposition to Seri's tribe, I'm creating an inspired playthrough. Maybe. The rules aren't sure yet and I might delete this.
First things first. This tribe will be bigotted as hell and sort nichelings into three categories:
1. Good (Alpha)
2. Okay (Beta)
3. Bad (Omega)
And g.c.d, go commit die. They have different rules and rights. The random generator determined these traits:
On every island, a new gene is added to the list depending on their history.
Starting (none)
-- first flower island (derp snout, beta level of okay). Derp snout was the most prominent trait of the first wanderer. It can't be ideal here, but will be held in higher esteem than others.
-- grass adventure (black pattern: okay). Bee's pattern and that of her descendants.
-- archipelago (claw: bad) The ugliest daughter had claw.
Swampy Hill: ??
The starters are Adam and Eve, home Island the destination. I sometimes edit pictures and sections to improve quality a bit after posting an update

Also, I'm going to ship Dragon Tear with Dragon Tear
And then Meringue

I'm not up to date and this is so confusing. What happened to Dragon Tear? Is she evil now?
-
I just keep getting rogue males from them. Except palm trees, they usually have some nice watery nichelings.
-
Here's the save. The bug persists after restarting the game.
I sometimes alter patterns with the console and have a 200? day old nicheling. No idea whether that's related or not, though.

It might be important that I have a 200? days old nicheling. Though that has never happened even with creatures older than that.

Well, I don't know him well. Typecasting, there'd be
1. Swanstar
More mature, but with a wicked sense of humor
2. Snow
The closest thing to their local healer. Somewhat withdrawn and absentminded, far from shy, though. She channels Lace's blessing (console healing powers).
3. Suncatcher
Since he likes purrsnots. She travels a lot and tends after the sick in other camps. You can't really see it here, but in game she has bright spots.

I didn't realize my Meringue clone's father looked like the actual one. Anyway, it's not exactly fanart, but do you want him to have a mate? It's pretty much 15 females and his fine self.
-
-
Damnit. But then again, my purrsnots tend to end up ironically sick.

More majestic than ever, the archipelago would prove the next challenge.
They establised three things:
1. The "grand council" is a stupid name.
2. They would be more productive than the old one and not pursue meaningless technicalities.
3. Someone needs to get that pesky normal fertility out. Where's that low infertility at?
Meanwhile, the nearsighted, big eared immigration grew bigger and bigger.
