  1. You might want to ask the devs by using @. That usually gets a reply. I would help you if I knew how... The only comfort I can offer is that the issue went away as it came in my game. Only lasted a few days. Came back. Disappeared fully.
  2. They usually are. In this challenge, every couple can only have one child, hence the lone son of the starters. No bearyena genes and no mega. antlers don't really make it worthwhile, tough. The dodomingos were an absurd advantage. Without them a population of four would have been a sweet spot in terms of replacement rate. With them it could rise to new, immunity sick heights. Can't have everything. Three iceblocks with wings, two with mamooth foot, armored body, the last with saberteeth when I left the mountains. In search of more mountain ports...
  3. I found four nests close to each other. The rules contain one child per couple. Killed one. Took about forever! ... How is this balanced? I mean, they're a great source of food and all, but ... The screams attract about every sort of predator.
  4. Hey. You're dead on about the messy part. There is a suggestion to make family trees bigger and better for roleplaying. Though it seems it would take... A) too much programming effort. B) might be too tedious for slower computers. C) or simple hasn't reached enough votes yet. D) issues like the sandbox update were deemed more important to solve before it.
  5. @Goggles-kun None of these girls are related, tough. Just the product of finding 4/5 big bodied wanderers and hoping for at least one creature with the poison fangs and claw.
  6. You might just end up with more clones than you can handle.
  7. Crabbits? They are still everywhere in my game. But that might just be because I find them bothersome. Shells are quite rare in the oasis. Or in general at this point... they seem sweeped away by the rain for longer than they remain.
  8. Sounds great to me. I had the same thought a while back, but got stuck on one issue. At some point the increased amount of grinding just becomes tedious. Sure, sacrifices must be made for roleplaying, say, Warriors style, but it should still be fun. That is why I'd solve it by freezing an island; passing the day on one would not pass the day on others. But that is quite unrealistic... and I am still stuck with that in mind. What do you propose?
  9. Just when all hope for the scorpion tail was lost, he... must have had some great recessive genetics? Cute children. The ugliest nicheling I have ever seen, though. Show me something worse, I double dare you! harems. Or a truly blessed union. Breaking the rules to figure out what went wrong with the panda plan. Finding the swimmiest swimmer to ever swim. And being unable to invite her 🙄. Curse you, nicheling gods! The sadness that comes with double trouble. Or, wait what? Hm... Hm.... HMMm... when these Edgelords were bright yellow all along.
  10. Whether it doesn't fit with your game's lore or the height difference is killing you, here is a place to introduce them... When you aren't sure whether your future belongs to the mountains or the savannah, but neither is he.
  11. Throwback to when blue water still existed. Two well dressed, halloween themed jungle dwellers. And of course, Rougelings.
  12. The only accident not due to bad planning was this guy. Pretty cute, though.. Tough it was extra bad luck to meet two winged creatures with the same immunity.
  13. In this challenge, the goal is to only send one creature to the next island, populate it and unlock all genes. Since the bigger mountains are a bit harder... I breed my female with her brother at departure. Then the son. Their son meet a nice, young lady that wasn't his sister. So it all worked out, didn't it? It's not like his great grandparents knew...(you know, the ones staring judgementally at the couple with a common immunity gene) That was the only biome I couldn't find a good mate in, though. It's a very doable challenge.
  14. Is it that weird? The gene turned up again on sunshine's daughter. Then there was an invasion of black eyed purrsnouts... Not the first case, either. A good reason to restart the game, at this point. Tough the platypus beak also took over in their grandchildren. You just never really know....
  15. Take drowning damage or waste time. No permanent nest. No permanent nest on this side, either. All three kits lack the home immunity. On their last day... Little sunshine was born. Home + B immunity. Though he wasn't compatible with his much older siblings... Scorpion baby! Somehow got dad's mask. So happy.
  16. I don't have any hard data, but I restart Story mode a lot for a quick start with the scorpion tail. About one in ten, I guess? For the wing. The antennae, purr snout and active big body would make it rarer... specifically, of course. Stinky tail and frog legs are more common. Never seen that mask, though. The most rare thing for me wasn't a combo, but being unable to find Eve. Invisible Eve. The highest camouflage of all...
  17. I really like the idea of a volcanic island and more sea life. This would make the antennae useful, too, giving one extra time to prepare. I am just worried about overfishing. Would they require a lot of hunger to actually go fishing (with that 6...)? Or is competition a main point for challenge? If so, a 4 in attack would make them stronger than the apes. I don't understand how, though, without sharp teeth, high bone density or claws. Add this to the defense and they're OP. Your average fisher doesn't have defense. Making gills and armored body the only option is a bit limiting for a water island. That can be okay on killer islands. More sea life would be nice, though. Considering that they swarm you... maybe 2 would be enough? Just some food for thought. I am sure you have something in mind for these points already, I would like to know what, though.
  18. Hm... ramhorns, big ears, orange eyes... seems legit. 😆
  19. Derpsnouts aren't too useful, either. So I wouldn't mind a comeback as a more rare snout than before. Though I also miss Bob.
  20. What a waste of time. I assume you only counted real-life responsibilities. No sleep, no free time and no standing around waiting for the train.
  21. Niche has received 144 updates and is now in VR. Putin is still President. No lunch in the last 26, 663 days. You have an existential crisis. What is it about?
  22. I have looked at my cats and wondered if those are big ears or not. Because pure dichotomies exist on the matter. Totally. What should you put in your mutation slots? I can't unsee the cracker jaw on a certain person I know. You hate this even more than you might have used to. Lies. All lies!
  23. Aww damn it. It's either avoiding questions regarding the obvious (but did you really release her?) Or math. I just feel bad that the newly released female got impregnated by one of the most useless rogues in non-existence. They don't target wanderers. Why do they have to keep their target on released nichelings? The poor thing and mother of the Whims. Why oh Why great and allmighty random generator?
  24. Pretty straightforward scenario. I am going to describe what does and does not happen. You have too many creatures for comfort and plan to release a few in the near future, namely A. A rogue male appears and targets A. You release A now, the rogue follows and impregnates her, despite her being a wanderer at this point. After that, she does not search out a nest and roams on her own normally. Hearts appeared and she has a visible baby bump. The rogue went its own way after that, aswell. The issue lies only in its pursuit after having releasing her.
