That’s what I’ve been TRYING TO FRIGGIN DO! But I’m crazy and it won’t ever happen until I sleep on the hour I last slept...

Have you ever reset your schedule military style? On the one hand, it's murder, on the other, it worked for me to get up at 5.30 am with some really important tests. That is only useful if it is your schedule, though. There's a list of reasons why you might get stuck, and they vary over time... but unless it's, for example, hormonal, like with women in menopause, you're best off cycling through your options.

So If it's an hour like 3 am, it's most likely to be your schedule. If you drop dead from exhaustion and not tiredness, you can't reset yourself from your 5-7 am habit until you remove some stressors. That's been it in general, anyway, with my psychatrist. Even if it's not stress, you could literally have a defect mechanism. But what you can do really depends on the underlying reasons. E.g. It's not my schedule right now, so all attempts of a "reset" have been ineffective.

I'm just not sleeping for 2-3 days straight and then drop for 15 hours. Not at an consistent hour, either. Might be 1. am, or pm. As if you've forgotten how to sleep, even with all systems dead set on it. Meaning sleeping medication in a week, which will have horrible side effects as always. You might need it too, if that's the issue. Or a new one...

This has been an unwanted presentation by spacecat on the three primary ways your body might attempt to murder you.

  2. 5'11 by this metric. But to be honest, I never know my height in inches, rounding errors and all. What is important, is that I'm taller than my dad when wearing -- uh,

Ankle Strap Platform Wedges? That's what he gets for calling me short all these years in middle school.

  3. Insomnia usually elevates depression's symptoms in most people, or can induce the same state in those who don't have it. If you're also stuck with anhedonia, finding more time fillers might not help. Please rest and try to avoid stress triggers. Seriously, you need to sleep, or some things that improve mood can't really happen in the brain :(

  4. Since it's stuck, you might want to try cheating in wanderers, wait until Adam dies and skip a few more days. I never tried for it, though. With all other achievements, "waiting it out" eventually got me the points. You just need a save to play with... or not. Depending on the trigger, maybe? But it's worth a shot.

  5. I was gone for two hours and the thread vanished. What happened?

Aside from that, I don't think you're actively making people miserable. If someone is wary of conflict though, then, possibly, seeing others upset will upset them quite a lot. Even if it is a rant.

At the same time, people do need a room to express themselves. It's a pre-programmed issue when people react to things differently. It's good then to avoid strong labels (e.g. miserable. hate. swearing or caps lock). But, honestly, I've messed up quite badly and I likely will again. Even so, how you manage a conflict is generally more important than the issue itself. We're all stuck between some conflicting goals, but there is compromise and we do learn.

But, the thread didn't seem too bad? Quoting Renio was mean, but it's just a quite strong opinion otherwise with some heavy personal hurt beneath. You wanted to protect people from feeling down, and you do now, too. So I doubt that you meant any malice or that is was read as such... we just need to be careful with intensity and overstating severity when slipping too much. Not because either is bad, but it tends to wind people up.

  6. I notice I keep tiers with wildly different tolerance levels. Short snout on a cute wanderer? Yeah, okay. Short snout on their kid? Possibly quite bad. Grandchild? Is there a bird?

I'm not even sure where to start with that. Systematic discrimination seems pre-programmed, but reverse blood purity?? Niche just makes you want to half-sarcastically question yourself at 3 am in the morning.

  7. I don't get why people try them in the first place. Aside from these issues, they also tend to change character traits at times?? I mean, on the one hand, you would experience the world differently, but on the other, some shifts are just weird in extent. You can't really justify having them, nor not having them. No matter what, it's going to be conceptually awkward.

  8. Mwahaha. But no, this is what happens kids, when you're not allowed a childhood. Don't be spacecat and inhabit personality states in a weirdly compartmentalized way.
