  1. Right now albinism/melanism completely takes away all camouflage stats, and I think it's kinda unfair. What I'm suggesting is that albinism gives +2 or 3 camo in the mountains, and melanism gives +2 or 3 camo in the jungles. I think it's unfair that a big-eyed ape is gonna go after my melanistic creature even though there's a creature with gray fur standing right next to it...
  2. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE GAME HOLY CRAPPP Edit: What if you had a creature with the toxic body and the bioluminescent pattern?? That would be one colorful boi
  3. Wow it would be pretty cool to have a female born who's natural name is Erase ;D Also Coria is a cool name too.
  4. Maybe if a creature takes bleeding damage, then it would get a scar? Also, maybe the longer it bleeds, the worse the scars will get when they eventually heal.
  5. I love the watering hole idea! I always thought the savannas looked very bare before they got trees, and I thought it was unfair that there was a surefire way to warm up on the mountain but no cooling down in the savanna.
  6. I agree. And you know how Nichelings have red eyes when albino? That's total albinism, which means that there's no pigmentation in important parts of the eye, causing shortsightedness. I think that the albinism gene in niche should give -1 eyesight, to be more realistic. Also, I love your idea about albinos being more sensitive to sun! Since they have no natural sun protection, they get sunburned very easily.
  7. I think that Fire Bees (a mix between firefly, fire ant, and bee) would be a great addition to Niche! If an island has 2 or more oak trees, there is a 100% chance that a Fire Bee hive will be on one of its branches. However, if the island has only 1 tree or no trees at all, none will spawn. The hive would look like a regular beehive, but with an orange tint. Visually, they would look like fireflies, but with black and orange stripes and a stinger on its abdomen. Lone Fire Bees can sometimes be found by berry bushes. If you pick from it, it will have a 50/50 chance of fleeing or stinging. A fire bee sting will not cause harm to your Nicheling directly, but it will be poisoned for 1 day. You will have an option to attack the hive to receive 10 food, and if a creature has a strength of 4 or above, it will succeed. Regardless of if the attacker is strong enough or not, any attempt of attack on the hive will cause large numbers of the fire bees to swarm your creature, continually giving it stings for 3 days. The nest then relocates to another tree on the island. The only way to destroy a hive without the fire bees going after your creature is if it has the Badger Snout. This will give the Nicheling +1 Strength, +3 Smelling, and +1 Hive gathering. It is accessible only by wanderers. Thanks for reading my suggestion! Let me know if you like it
  8. I was just messing around, and I actually found AppData! It was like it appeared out of nowhere.
  9. I checked Hidden Files, but I can't find the username folder. Do I type it into the search bar in my files?
  10. Can you walk me through it? I'm still really confused lol
  11. How do I get to View? I have a Windows 8 computer. Edit: Never mind, I found View Second edit: I typed in %AppData% into the file search bar and it's not showing up
  12. Okay, I'm in the Niche_Data folder. There's level0, level1, level2, and level3. Are these the save files? Do I make copies of these? Edit: Just watched Seri's save file tutorial, and I can't find AppData. Do you think mine is hidden?
  13. Okay, let me know if I'm doing this right: I open "This PC", copy the Windows option, and then paste it into the "Search this PC" tab. I think I'm doing the technical stuff right, but when I enter it, it says nothing matches my search.
  14. I'm new to all of this, can someone give me a VERY detailed guide on how to back up my saves? Include everything you can, even opening the game files themselves.
  15. Right now we only have 3 eye types, nothing really suited for any specific traits or biomes. Here are my suggestions: Fish Eyes, and Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes: More recessive than Normal, Shortsighted, and Blind eyes, but dominant over Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes allow a creature to see 3 tiles underwater, but only 1 on land. Visually, they would be very round (kind of like derp snout eyes). There are no whites of the eye, only the iris (dependent on eye color) and a slightly misshapen, shiny pupil. (based on real fish eyes, of course.) Bird Eyes: More recessive than all eye genes. On the ground, it would be like any normal eye, being able to see 2 tiles away. But in a tree or on a stump, they can see extra far. Also, you know how when a normal-eyed Nicheling is in the grass, the tiles directly around them have translucent grass? Bird-eyed Nichelings would have 2 tiles of translucent grass. Visually, they would be sharp, pointed eyes with small irises and pupils. Thanks for reading
