Why can you not see dead nicheling parents?

The family tree should definitely become a central point to this game. There is so much that could be expanded upon -
What the title says...The family tree seems to not care about dead nichelings except to say what LIVING nichebabes they have. Considering dead ones are blacked out I don't think this is necessary...but maybe its to make things less messy overall? Idk.
