  1. One of my favourite games of all time was omega. How about a logic part can contain 30 lines of code? I guess I just want to re-live the good old days.
  2. Challenging is: High gravity + more than 25 parts -> reduced thrust. It's challenging because it... just... takes... so... long........ Goes double for the barrels because you have to fly them back!
  3. No, I mean logic parts don't count towards the total number of parts.. Logic parts are free. As for the punch thrusters... How about having weight classes by thrusters then? Must have less than 20 thrusters, 40 thrusters etc. Right now, there's no reason (that I can see) to have less than 100 parts. Once the logic is set (5 parts? 10 parts?) it's just adding more fuel tanks, thrusters and googly eyes. Sumo arena is weighted more towards strength than finesse. So having the best logic bot (which is a huge challenge) is not rewarded as much as just more thrusters. Which is easy. That's why I'd like logic parts to be free - so we can get some seriously smart robots, and lower weight classes so we can get thinky bots instead of strong bots. http://robotwars.wikia.com/wiki/Weight_Classes
  4. Just like real sumo, can we get some weight classes? Max 20,40,60,80 parts in addition to the current 100 parts? Also... Can logic boxes not be included?
  5. One of my failed designs did this. Just a deoupler, mini thruster and about 15 logic blocks wandering off... out the sumo ring. That was about the only part that actually worked properly
  6. My spinner works 85% against rammers. The rammers usually come in hard. My spring loaded "whacker" modules spin clockwise. Any rammers come at me get pushed down. Usually they run straight out of the ring. Its the pulse rammers and the slow ones that detect cores - then boost - that give me trouble. This one is an older model, but still has some success against the rammers with two directional sensors. If they have edge-detection it becomes very difficult to beat them.
