randomized into relami on the first few rolls and decided to lock her in (i needed to make sure this was like, Somewhat Survivable)
blind genes mode, no mutation menu, deadly hills, no rogue males, you know the drill B) lets start!!

when relami wakes up, she cant remember how she got here- alone, on the shore of a vast island, with loose pieces of clams, berries and dried grass clasped in her paws.
this wasnt rare, and she knew this. in fact, most nichelings spent their lives alone. she was probably dropped from the sky by a bluebird, washed away by the sea, or simply migrated here to escape something happening in her home island.
she ignored the biggest question of who she was and how she knew this.
just find some food.
for the first few days, she searches in the small peninsula where she started, but only finds berry bushes and rabbils. for someone else this could be perfect, but not her. she needs to find roots.
on the mainland, she finds food, and another wanderer named lurduk, who can gather berries. they decide to stay together in the safety of the peninsula following lurduks warning of many bearyneas on the island.
some time passes, and the two decide to have a child- safety in numbers, relami thought- near the peninsula. everything finally seems to have fallen into place. relami has started her new life; why should the past matter? all she has to worry about now is her families future, and shes so swept up in its wonders, that-
leeches.
small, and easy to ignore, but deadly little things.
everything was the same. the waves hit the shore with a sickeningly steady rhythm as she tried to remember, again, how she got here, and whether that had happened before.
theres nothing i can eat on the peninsula.
just find some food.

everything was the same. right there was the nest she had just bled out in.
that meant there were two roots not far from here.
lurduks warning about bearyneas turns out to be true, as relami notices one is stalking her not far from here. she slips away into the grass. lurduk.. he shouldnt be far from here.
she finds kirduk instead. similar, needed in the same way, but much older and weaker. they have a child for the same reasons as before, safety in numbers.
after a few days of running, relami manages to lose the bearynea, and finds a nest to have her child. theres a corpse laying next to it.
maybe next time, they'll survive.
raresi is born!!
relami calls out for any other wanderers, and is very successful- nunonu asks for help to find a tree, offering his spare food in return, and lurnukir...
is used as bait, for the killer bearynea that attacks.
raresi is carried away by a bluebird.
...
maybe she'll find the same luck i have.
it takes many days and more bearyneas for the remaining pair to regroup in a safe space.
its the same place as last time- surely, then, it will be safe?
their first child is born
when a bearynea attacks, she considers for a moment- dukrolur wouldnt be able to hunt or gather food. if they left him behind and slipped away now, then...
