Midnight Whispers licked her paw nervously. A faint growl kept up in her throat every time she looked at- or thought about- Squid.

Midnight Whispers flicked her tail again. ` ` ..really? ` ` she said, trying to sound more excited than depressed. (Thanks, Squid. You made MW half-depressed. Why am I so good at acting depression when I'm not depressed? I don't even know a person who's depressed... I'm going to stop rambling on now.)

Midnight Whispers miserably curled up on the rug and flicked her tail.

Midnight Whispers opened her mouth like she was going to say something, then relapsed into silence.

(Ah, okay.) Midnight Whispers yawned and trotted to class.

(I still want to know when the project ends. It's taken a day.)
