  1. What's your dA if you don't mind me asking?
  2. Ah yes I've heard of polyandry, but only with ratites who look mostly the same (rheas) except that the females are larger (cassowaries), so I didn't think color matters. So yeah I think it would make more sense if both bright colored males and females could attract mates, since Nichelings do have the option of being polyandrous and polygamous. Thanks for the information as well! I'll edit the post in a second.
  3. I don't watch JessiMew, I've only seen a few videos of hers, but I'm going to start now so I can see her playthrough of your challenge! Seri has replied to me quite a bit of times, mostly because I've been on the channel so long, plus after all these years she recognizes me so I'm bound to have at least a few. She actually showcased fanart of mine in a recent stream (not niche), she complimented me and everything it was so cool haha. Same with JayPlays, she usually always replies to my comments since she doesn't get too many (yet). I'll try to get some screenshots and edit them into here later! yes i liked my own comments but only because they were hearted and replied to okay, I do it on special occasions lol
  4. I don't think there are fancier females, more like just as fancy as the males, like with superb starings if I'm not mistaken? Either way I just went with the whole males are fancy and females are camouflage-y thing since that's more common . And this attractiveness doesn't work among tribemates, only with wanderers like with peacock tail, so I don't think it would matter who took care of the babies?
  5. When you switched versions did the save files you have for 1.7.1 save?
  6. I'm trying this, wish me luck! I intentionally made my nichelings look like hyenas with the bearyena genes and spots lol
  7. Sorry for butting in but I'm not sure if I would be considered a furry either. The most anthropomorphic I get with animals is having them smiling or talking, at the most them having a culture like in Warriors but still mostly animalistic (similar to what Jojo said). I don't like anthropomorphic as in having humanoid bodies and wearing clothes and such, and I'm in no way interested in fur suits. But according to some people a furry is anyone who likes anthropomorphic animals, even if it is just talking, while others disagree so I'm not sure.
  8. Yep! It should be because it just came out on the 22nd. Make sure to pay attention when you're watching 😉 (Also it's not you're typical horror movie, and if you're expecting a clear plot then it may not be for you. You have to think )
  9. It's a good movie 😂 Not as scary as you think, and it even had some pretty funny parts
  10. Agreed, but I did that because female nichelings with camouflage would be able to avoid detection from predators, keeping them and their unborn baby safe. I think males would find their fur color attractive because of that, so colorful males wouldn't be attractive just because of their sex. Would that work do you think? Changed it so that females will have attractiveness if they have camouflaged fur in there biome.
  11. Many polygamous male animals, mostly birds such as peacocks and birds of paradise, use color to attract many different females. This can also occur in female birds, like belted kingfishers or red phalaropes who have polyandrous, brighter females to attract many males. Since both male and female Nichelings have the option to be polygamous/ployandrous, I feel like yellow and red fur (the brightest fur colors and the ones with no camouflage) should add +1 attractiveness for nichelings. It would make sense that these colors have no camouflage since they are extremely bright, but this brightness can be of use. Each fur color gene will have +1 attractiveness, so for example, if a nicheling has two red genes, a red and yellow gene, etc, then they will have +2 attractiveness. If they have one red gene and a chestnut brown gene, for example, they'll only have 1 attractiveness. Some pictures just cause Brighter maleBrighter male Brighter female
  12. I think this may be too easy, but it's a movie that came out recently.
  13. You did not just do that, I'm dying!! 😂 8
  14. "Once upon a time, there was a girl and the girl had a shadow..." And everyone had to start over HA (if you know where that quote is from lets share our thoughts!)
  15. Don't mind this, I'm just testing this out ^^

  16. Dragon Prince or something like that?
  17. I'm in love with your style, these look fantastic!
  18. I have an old account on there that I just recently started using again (its called Vankirvan, to no one's surprise) I hope to see you guys there lol
  19. I was thinking there could be a limit. For example, if a nicheling has 4 or more strength it can't get a bonus, same with defense and speed. I feel like that would be fair?
  20. Yes I'm not too sure either. What do you think, should they have to perform the actions more? I was unsure about the amount because I didn't want them to grow up before they could get the bonuses
  21. I'm sorry I'm an uncultured swine, who's SLARM?
  22. After posting the blue-eyed baby suggestion I started thinking about other things that could be added for little nichelings. And so I came up with playing and chasing. Baby animals playfight, spar, chase each other and prey items, climb, just have a good time you know. But these activities benefit the baby for it's future as an independent adult. When baby bears playfight they sharpen fighting skills, when horse foals chase each other they build muscle that will let them run faster. Any nicheling will have the potential to gain +1 Strength, +1 Defense, or +1 Speed if they have 3 or less on that stat (if they have 4 or more on any of these stats then they can't get a bonus). But only if they playfight/chase as a baby or child a certain amount of times. So make sure they have siblings or cousins, cause if not they're getting nada Playfighting would just be an action where you hover over a young nicheling with another young one (baby and child stages) and select playfight. Playfighting will give your nichelings a chance at having a bonus stat (+1 strength or defense) when they become teens/adults. -This can possibly depend on who they play with. For example if a baby plays with a child then when the baby is grown it will get a defense bonus, since it had to defend itself against the larger child. This could be vice versa also, with the child getting strength for fighting the baby. -Or their bonus could instead depend on their actions. If one youngster is always initiating the playfighting then it might get a strength bonus, while the one who is at the end of the action often might get a defense bonus. Playfighting can perhaps be extended to mock-fighting in teenagers that will also give bonuses. *** Chasing would work differently, and by this I mean chasing prey. Rabbils are the only small land animals available so baby and child nichelings could "pounce" or "attack" on a nearby rabbil. The rabbil will not get hurt and will skitter away, but this gives the baby a chance at having a speed bonus. The baby/child (and possibly teen) will need to do/be the recipient of the action 4(?) times to get a bonus, and this number can increase if your nichelings live longer due to changed settings. Blue eye suggestion:
