(spoilers, even though its nothing that has any bearing on the plot)
Theres an actual, OFFICIAL gay couple in a warrior cats book. it was implied in the preview but considering what series this is a lot of people (including me) were skeptical. But nope. Theyre explicitly called mates four separate times. We got RavenBarley earlier this year and now PebbleThrush. Happy late pride month

speaking of Silent Hill
I've been rewatching some SH2 remake playthroughs from youtubers i like and i just realized that apparently i made up an entire scene in my head???
when i was sick back in March/April i was spending most of my time sleeping with random videos playing in the background, and i fell asleep to a playthrough of SH2R and i guess i was so out of it that i didnt even realize i fell asleep and thought my weird dream was part of the game. and i just accepted that for months

fr though i am NOT excited for this movie. if i had a nickel for every horror game franchise i loved deeply that got extremely lackluster movies i would have 2 nickels. which isnt a lot but it sucks that it happened twice
the first movie wasnt the absolute worst but it still wasnt great and we dont talk about the second movie. i wanna forget it even exists. what the actual hell were they thinking

Okay to go into detail but not too much detail, two moderators were removed and banned for bringing up a genuine issue + Genemod and its creator were banned for pretty mild stuff that didnt even happen in the server

writing warrior cats fanfiction. i mean i was already doing that anyways (its literally all thats on my ao3 account) but i havent written in months so im just sitting here trying to make it sound decent
anyways im doing this for two reasons
ONE: Theres a SEVERE lack of warrior cats yuri on ao3, its dire out here man!! MothPool is in the trenches!!!!
TWO: A couple of random Tumblr users i follow have mentioned transfem Breezepelt and personally i think thats genius so here i am writing about her. Heathertail is still her girlfriend but theyre lesbians now (he/him in the screenshot because its the very beginning and she hasnt found herself yet)

Im not sure what the hell is up with Youtube lately but good lord its broken
Idk if its a problem for anyone else but issues include:
1. The audio and visuals not syncing right, forcing me to reload the page to fix it (you cant reload the page on mobile so im screwed there). It will also do this if i pause the video for a certain amount of time, forcing me to reload AGAIN and sometimes lose my spot
2. Sometimes ads will just. not register as ads? You know how theres a yellow time bar for ads and a red one for regular videos? Sometimes it will give the ad a red bar and treat it as a normal video, ONCE AGAIN forcing me to reload because when the ad ends, Youtube thinks the video ended. Especially annoying when the video is in a playlist because it will just move right along to the next one
3. Sometimes the video doesnt even fit on the screen and the website gives you a scroll bar at the bottom that only moves half an inch and stays when you go fullscreen
I thought all this might just be a problem with my busted laptop but the audio is screwed up on my phone too so unless im just really unlucky this has to be a Yotube thing. man

I know fandoms tend to suck but good lord. why does the fandom for my favorite video game series have to be so rabidly hateful with anyone who disagrees. When i went to my local 4th of july festival to hoard a bunch of elephant ears to bring home i saw so many ridiculous "AMERICA!!!!!" shirts (some serious and some not) but by far my favorite was this one girl who was wearing a hoodie with some typical patriotic quote on it and three vertical red, white and blue stripes in the background

Even though i really enjoyed the SH2 remake and actually liked some bits better than the original, it still disappoints me that they kinda. sanitized Maria (for lack of a better word) ('defanged' maybe??)
Like. im not gonna get into detail but her old design and character very much served a purpose to the narrative and James himself, she tolerated him at best but always had a layer of venom hidden beneath everything she said, because deep down, she hated him
Now shes softer? Shes not a COMPLETELY different character but its definitely noticeable. Also she comes off a lot more manipulative than she did before which just isnt accurate, she did not gaf about that man lol
She looks more like Ashley from the RE4 remake than Maria. damn, they really want that Capcom money huh

After many years and lots of sleepless nights and thinking when i should have been listening, i have FINALLY, FINALLY FINISHED THE REWRITE SCRIPT FOR TAS. GOOD LORD I NEED TO STOP PROCRASTINATING I COULD HAVE HAD THAT DONE A YEAR AGO
Now i can stop thinking about it for a while until i decide to actually start the comic (which honestly im not completely sure if i wanna go through with it at this point for personal reasons, but im still hopeful) and instead think about my warrior cats comic that im getting around to a lot sooner than i thought (the one with Nightpaw and Bubblepaw from my old thread)
i need to get a more productive hobby

Okay, if anyone sees this-I'm done. Actually thats kind of a dramatic way to put it, what i mean is that im leaving
Its something I've been thinking on for a while. I dont wanna get too personal and have this turn into a vent but I've realized that being here just doesn't make me feel good anymore. I joined years ago, all the way back in 2019. I was so nervous but so happy to connect with people, so happy to have a place to share something I loved so much like Niche with other people. I met people I could never forget, I got into dumb arguments, I laughed and cried and agonized over every little thing I did or said wrong even though nobody probably ever thought about it again. Overall, I would say it was a good experience
But I'm tired, and a lot has changed. I look back on all this and I'm filled with happiness but also this ache I can't make go away, because even though it brings me good memories, it also brings bad ones, and the good ones almost feel soured. I had a lot of issues, as I'm sure anyone unlucky enough to know me from back then probably knows, and I couldn't reign them in like a normal person so instead I would explode and then regret it later because even I knew that wasn't okay, so I caused a lot of grief for multiple people. Thats probably my biggest regret, the way I treated people whether we were talking here or not
The only thing I don't really regret is my stories. Time and Space + my playthroughs did a lot for me and I definitely wouldn't have improved in my writing ability if I hadn't made them. I love the characters dearly even if my storytelling was questionable or just straight up bad at points, and I still plan to make that TAS comic someday because I didn't make that rewrite for nothing
Im not really sure what else to say? Um, some facts about me I guess:
-My favorite color is orange, my second favorite is blue
-I'm 19, my birthday is June 6th. I've definitely lied about how I old was in the past because I wanted people to think I was cool when I was really just a dumb kid, so please ignore however old I've said I was before. I'm tired of lying about it
-My eyesight is bad but I actually might be able to get it fixed a little soon? Im not really sure how but thats what my doctor said
-My favorite Pokemon are Glaceon, Flygon and Whimsicott
-My favorite warrior cats character is Feathertail
-My favorite character in anything ever is Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 (new SH game this Thursday btw, very excited. it better not suck)
-My favorite animal is maned wolves, cats are right behind (gee who could have thought)
-I'm double jointed in my elbows, I love freaking people out with it
-I have a scar on the bottom of my left big toe because I stepped on a metal wire that was laying on the ground for some reason
-My second language is technically French but i can read it 10x better than i can speak it
-I have two cats and a snake (technically a dog too but hes my brother's and i dont really care for him), one of the cats is half blind like I am
-I broke my arm going down a slide when I was 9, I was halfway down and two other kids rammed into me and I flew off the side. It sucked pretty bad at the time but now i find it kinda funny
-Jubileze from TAS may or may not have been kind of a self-insert. Shes not much like me at all anymore but she has anger issues and really hates certain people and holds grudges so...pretty similar to me when i made her lol. The difference is that shes way cooler
I think thats about it, i have a discord if anyone still feels like talking to me but no hard feelings if you dont. Sorry if all this seems dramatic but i just wanted to give a proper goodbye to the community I've been a part of the last 6 almost, 7 years. This place and Niche itself will always have a special place in my heart
