Random thought but honestly its really hard for me to genuinely dislike a female character because they often get screwed over so bad by the writing and/or the fans. No matter how well-written, interesting or even bland she is, shes gonna have haters. Thats unfortunately how fandom works. Theres very (and i mean VERY) few female character who are universally loved by whoever knows them, so screw it, get behind me Goddammit i cant even bring myself to hate Rainflower warrior cats 😭 and shes literally the worst, but after rereading the books and observing the fandom a bit i realized just how much praise people throw on Shellheart for doing the bare minimum and nothing else + the general trend in warrior cats of making the main character's mother antagonistic somehow it put into perspective how much she really is only there to make Crookedstar sad But yeah. It doesnt even have to be a character i like all that much. If i see someone being stupid about her im pulling out my sword the exception is Catra. i hate you Catra

today i learned that theres more than one species of skunk (shameful. im literally working with animals) the striped skunks are the ones everyone knows. theyre very cute and fluffy. about the size of a football (fun fact: these guys can have all sorts of cool patterns due to recessive genes and mutations) these guys are spotted skunks. theyve got cool swirly patterns. more or less the size of a squirrel. these are the origin of the whole "skunks do a handstand to spray" thing (like half the pictures on google are of them doing this) and my personal favorite, the hog-nosed skunk. look at that guy

okay update even though nobody cares but now im not even sure they said in the new video that they specifically made Grace because they didnt feel like Leon makes a very good horror protag (agreed, he worked in re2 because he was young and scared, he worked in re4 because Ashley was there to balance him out, and then 5 and 6 just got kinda goofy) and they wanted someone the player could relate to part of me feels like im being bamboozled tbh, because it feels kinda random to bring him up? idk man maybe they saw how feral people were going over seeing him again and him "being the protagonist" and felt the need to dispel that speaking of which, i think some people are genuinely delusional because they are CONVINCED that Leon is secretly the main protagonist and are mad about them confirming Grace is the main character???? 😭 WOW, the girl whos been in all the marketing and has been the only important character actually shown is the protagonist?? WHO COULDA GUESSED. why does everyone want Leon back so bad. the man is like 55 and his back is probably hurting let the guy rest

apparently Leon is playable in re9...i mean im not like. MAD about it but i am kinda disappointed When i saw the trailer i was like "hell yeah!! new girl!!" and i was hoping it would just be her considering the last two games have only been from one pov (ignore Mia's section in re7 it doesnt count. it lasts like 5 minutes) but nope its 2. okay thats fine i guess im just not happy that theyre bringing Leon back i dont even have anything against him, im just sick of seeing him 😭 the guy literally had re4 all to himself (AGAIN ignore Ashley's section and the dlc. it doesnt count) and was playable in 2 and 6 we do NOT need more of this guy!!! i get the symbolism and all but come on yknow what? they should have brought back Claire instead. i havent seen her since Code Veronica. girl where are you i miss you anyways Grace im sorry that you have to share your game with this guy. youre literally the main character but ive seen more fanart of Leon for the new game than you

Just remembered that time the Sherlock fandom was so deeply in denial about how bad the ending was that they created a whole conspiracy about a secret extra episode being hinted at with subliminal messaging. The 2010s were weird (dont even get me started on The JohnLock Conspiracy. absolutely insane and out of hand in ways i cant even articulate) Honestly im glad that i never got into the big 3 Tumblr fandoms (Supernatural, Sherlock and Doctor Who) because i think it would have done irrepairable damage to my psyche and i didnt need any more of that. I was too busy engaging in the much superior Rise of The Brave Tangled Dragons fandom-i didnt gaf about these 30 year old men i was over here shipping Mavis x Rapunzel and drawing Elsa and Jack Frost fighting evil shadow monsters. now that i think about it i dont think much has changed actually

I just finished my Omen of the Stars re-read and its reminded me of just how vitriolic people used to be about Dovewing. like. it was kinda scary To this day i still wonder what the hell she did to make people think of her that way because for like %60 of the arc shes like 15 years old and her worst crime is...being mean to her sister once?? She was always portrayed as this bratty, snobby annoying person when she only acts even close to that way a single time-ffs IVYPOOL is the one who acts like that more often than not (not that i blame her. girl was going through it) but genuinely, the way people used to treat her was crazy. i remember when i was like 13 (?) and i found a fanfic that was all about subjecting Dovewing to things that i cant even allude to here because i would be thrown into the pit within 10 seconds. It was genuinely horrifying Anyone remember Dominoclaw? Black and brown cat with green eyes and a big scar, everywhere on youtube in the 2010s, owner bought a lot of commissions?? Yeah he commissioned someone to animate his oc violently murdering Dovewing because he hated her that much. Even as a stupid kid on amino i thought that was weird. The incel arsonist and the chronic child abuser got more sympathy than Dovewing and i will quite literally never understand why (well the answer is misogyny but i'll be here all day if i start on that)

Just remembered that time in highschool where I got stuck in the lunch line with some guy i had never spoken to before and never spoke to again, and i thought we were having a nice conversation...until he started going on about how "people are coming up with so many genders that i cant keep track them all, its ridiculous. i talked to someone the other day and they said they were like, 50 different genders. it was like a gender sandwich" and i just stood there simultaneously uncomfortable and trying not to laugh because "gender sandwich" was, unfortunately, extremely funny to me like. dude. youre standing next to the kid wearing a fake sports jacket and cuffed jeans. youre standing next to the kid with one of those really poor-quality loom bands with trans flag colors that my best friend made for me (he got one with lesbian colors. we wanted to match. im aware its cringe). i literally mentioned having a girlfriend like two minutes ago. i dont think this is the person you wanna be talking to about this man. school was weird

Nah its fine, asking is how you learn after all lol Its not the same with everyone, but a lot of us find it irritating because the thing about hyperfixations is that they live up to the name. When you hyperfixate on something it basically becomes the only thing you can think about. I quite literally got expelled from school and had to get my ged instead because I couldnt focus on anything that wasnt my current obsession (thats not the whole reason but definitely part of it) It can be fun and motivating when you have the time and comfort, but the issue is when it intrudes on the actually important stuff you should be doing. I once spent a whole class period constructing a rewrite of Resident Evil 8 in my head instead of doing the assignment that was literally just 8 simple questions. Dont even talk to me about my Danganronpa phase Its not all bad and its a lot easier to manage for some than others, and its like. not even top 5 in my list of "worst things about having adhd" but it can be really annoying

i hate having adhd because one minute im having a completely average time and then the next minute im obsessing over a piece of media i found out about 2 hours ago. and then the next morning im hyperfixating on something completely different my hyperfixating has calmed down a lot as i've gotten older (my longest ever was 2 years. my own personal hell) so now i switch back and forth what i obsess over on pretty much any given day instead of sticking to one thing for months on end but man. it sure is annoying. this is why i never finish my art wips

hi so i actually drew this for pride month last year (?) but i never posted it because i have adhd and cant even remember my own eye color half the time. anyways i thought this would be fitting to finally put here considering certain events that may or may not be happening tomorrow i have to admit that ive never actually played this game...i know like 3 things about it. i watched like 15 minutes of a playthrough, got distracted, went "i'll come back to this later" and then never came back to it 😭 sorry guys idk i just thought this was a funny idea. happy pride month to the people who actually know stuff about this game
