  1. it was just one of those HI animals that pop up when you use the 'Increasespawnplayeranimal' command-
  2. Oh look at that, Statter finally agreed to have a child. Unfortunately, it was another boy. Yeah, they definitely needed more of those. Nothing too important here, just the birth of another side character.
  3. Pocky spent a lot of time by the water. The waves were always a way to help him clear his head-well, as close as he could come to it. His head was never really clear. It just helped him understand things better. Half the time he had trouble being able to fathom that he exists. The rain was a nice touch. It wasn't hard rain either. It was soft- Like gentle pawsteps, how a butterfly flaps it's wings, the way berries smell. Half the time he didn't even understand his own thoughts. They were all rainbow-overwhelming, difficult, hard to comprehend. Something was in the waves. A face. Staring back at him. It wasn't his own, yet he couldn't quite pinpoint why. Maybe it was the fact that it sat just next to his reflection, or that there was nobody next to him. He twitched an ear, staring back at the smiling image of someone he didn't know. "Who are you?" It giggled. "I'm nobody! Who are you?" ....... "Are you nobody too?"
  4. Why were they here again? Neither of them knew how to catch fish, much less a razorania. Nonetheless, they tried, since the drought was leaving them lacking food. "Get anything?" Everest blinked, dragged out of his thoughts as he turned to face Wildfire. She looked tired, and it seemed she failed to catch anything as well. He shook his head, panting from the intense heat. Even with his lean body, he was burning up. He couldn't imagine how Pocky must have felt. (And he didn't want to) Wildfire sighed, flopping down and sticking her forepaws in the river to cool down. Everest joined her, closing his eyes and trying to relax. But he couldn't. He hadn't relaxed since they came here. A jungle was probably the worst place they could have come to. And he didn't think that because of the monsters, or the apes, or the vicious plants-no, none of that. Well, a bit of that, but mostly not. He hated jungles. He hated them because o- "Hey dad?" Again, he was snapped out of his trance, turning to Wildfire and blinking tiredly. He wasn't fazed by her calling him 'dad', she did it all the time. He practically raised her. She gave him a sad smile, reaching out her paw and lifting one of his out of the water. "It wasn't your fault, what happened to Cocospill." She leaned forward, and he felt her rest her chin on his shoulders, whispering the last part of her sentence. "None of it was. And neither was anything else that happened to you in your past." They sat in silence, partly because Everest couldn't speak and partly because the moment felt too sacred to break. In all honesty, he was starting to feel a little choked up. He silently leaned into her, trying to ignore the few tears that fell from eyes. There's not many feelings you can compare to the one you get when some someone forgives you.
  5. *intense staring of a BNHA fan* 👀
  6. Since Everest isn't allowed near children anymore, apparently everyone saw fit that Pocky take over babysitting duty. He had no idea what to do with children, so he just kinda let Zaptide climb all over him. I mean, it was keeping him entertained. "I would be more angry that you're biting me right now if I wasn't immune to poison." He stretched, laying flat on his stomach as Zaptide chewed on his ear. This kid had more energy than he ever did, that's for sure. "Okay, now it's starting to hurt-" Something rustled the grass, and he froze, staring intently. Was it a monster? It rustled again, and something akin to a groan came from the foliage. He slowly stood up, crouching down and covering Zaptide with his body, prepared to fight. He may not be scared of death or care much if tragedy came to others, but even he had enough sanity and empathy to realize that nobody should die as young as Zaptide. Plus, he really didn't want to be demoted to Everest's level. The grass rustled again, but instead of a monster, a nicheling fell out. Like, an actual normal, uninfected nicheling. He faceplanted at first, then sat up, violently scratching at a leech on his shoulder with his hind paw. "Hey uh, can I have some help?!" Pocky stepped forward, pushing down his paw and ripping the leech off. The strange nicheling sighed, slumping down on the ground with relief. As Pocky observed him, he noted how his face looked. Purple-green-pink, purple-green-pink, purple-green-pink- Peculiar. Odd. Strange. He'd never seen a twisted face on a nicheling before. Did something happen to him? "Thanks! I'm Chardonnay!" What kind of name was that? "Pocky."
  7. Oh, has the author mentioned Tippip yet? Yeah, she exists. Say hi to Tippip everyone! She'll probably never speak a word in her life!
  8. Considering Everest's last kid was eaten alive, Bastille decided that he should probably have another one. Except this time he wasn't allowed to be left alone with it. Almond didn't object to having more children, but she did feel bad for Everest. She didn't blame him for what happened to Cocospill. "What's his name?" Pocky asked, leaning his head down and sniffing at the bundle of fur between Almond's paws. She smiled, though her eyes seemed distant, like she wasn't completely there. Something purple-red, what is it called? Maybe I'll remember later... "Zaptide." Pocky nodded, sitting down and blinking at the child. He wanted to say something, but he wasn't sure what-it just sat in his head and didn't come out into words. Oh wait, it came back to him, that's nice...wait- "He's red-orange, really." Dammit. He was trying to avoid that. Even though Almond clearly had no idea of what he just said, she just smiled and nodded. "Yeah, he is."
  9. maybe I should kinda explain what the hell Pocky means when he talks about all those colors- I'll update this as he keeps saying them Yellow: Calm Blue-Black: Melancholy/Isolation Orange-Green-Purple: Confusion Purple-Red: Uneasiness Red-Orange: Nice/Lovely Purple-Green-Pink: Peculiar/Odd/Strange Rainbow: Overwhelming/Difficult/Hard to comprehend
  10. He's actually based more on this song (which might not make a lot of sense at the moment, but it will later-):
  11. "You sure do enjoy staring at the water a lot, don't you?' Pocky payed no mind to Starstruck, simply flicking an ear and hoping that would be taken as a greeting. The grown nicheling sat next to him, observing the clams at the bottom of the small bay just to the right of the ports. "So uh...is it still yellow?" Pocky inwardly cringed a bit. He appreciated Starstruck trying to understand the way he spoke, but in all honesty, he barely understood it himself. It was like nonsense just flew out of his mouth whenever he opened it. "The water, yes. I'm not feeling too calm at the moment though..." Starstruck turned and raised an eyebrow, silently telling him to continue with that statement. Pocky took a deep breath, and looked anywhere but the other nicheling. "I may be young, but I understand that things aren't good right now. They'll never be good. The world will always be just some blue place, and I'll always feel blue-black and orange-green-purple and never truly understand anything that's happening..." He sighed, knowing full well that he was probably making little sense at the moment. "So, I'll just accept it. Death is around every corner, so why fear it or feel sad? Danger never truly rests, so why bother feeling scared? That's life. Life isn't good nor terrible-it's just life. We're born, we live, and then we die. That's all there is to it." There was only silence for minutes, but it felt like years. It wasn't comfortable silence either, it was the kind that fell upon you when something strange or unsettling had been said, but nobody dare spoke a word in fear of hearing more. "That's...an interesting outlook. You sure are a unique one, kid." "I'm not unique. Nobody is." (i seriously applaud you if you can figure out what Pocky is based on-)
  12. After a day or so of crossing the sea, the tribe arrived at their new home. A jungle. Great. Pocky already felt hot, both from his heat body and the fact that he had grown up in stifling cold. This was abnormal to him. "Be careful." Bastille whispered, presumably trying not to alert anything. He went in first, and gestured for Statter to follow, since she was the strongest aside from him. Surprisingly, she followed without any complaints. Pocky drifted off towards the bay, not caring for whatever they were doing.
  13. it is, this and BIL just take more brainpower for me to write updates xfcghj
  14. Maybe there's just a tribe of blind nichelings with confusing names somewhere out there rtdyfugih
  15. ah yes, the cult of nichelings with weird names that confuse everyone is growing she would get along with Unless
  16. Not exactly, but it's something similar? ish?
  17. Did you really think that they were going back to their camp after that situation? Yeah, no. There were ports not too far ahead, and the tribe decided that would probably be the best way to go. They were taking a short break to gather what little food was left on the island. Well, except for Pocky. He was sitting by the water with Starstruck. "Ocean is pretty, isn't it?" Starstruck asked casually, bashing another acorn with his tail to crack it open. Pocky nodded, gaze unbreaking from the waves. "Yes. It's very yellow." Starstruck blinked, cocking an eyebrow at the child and scanning the water. "Uh, you sure? Last time I checked, it was blue." Pocky shuffled his paws, lowering his head for a moment. "Yeah, it can feel that way sometimes..." Silence filled the air for a few heartbeats, before Pocky blinked and looked back at Starstruck. "Oh, wait, you meant-um..." He sighed, tapping his tail against the ground and awkwardly scraping at the sand with one paw. "It's um, it's calm, is what I mean. Yellow-uh, calm."
  18. Hearing the screams, everyone else rushed towards camp, meeting Everest half way. Wildfire, who had been woken up by the noise, immediately scrambled off of Everest's back and ran towards Starstruck, who hugged her and shot Everest a confused look. "What happened?" Bastille asked, hopping up on a tree stump. Everest was trying to catch his breath, and gently set Pocky down in front of the stump. He gestured wildly behind him, although that didn't seem to accomplish much. Almond finally caught up. "I heard screaming! Is everyone okay?" She pushed her way forward, sighing in relief as she saw her children, running forward and pulling Pocky towards her, sheltering him with her body. She scanned the group, growing more and more nervous as she realized something. "Everest, where's Cocospill?" Everyone was silent, staring expectantly at Everest. Seemingly giving up on trying to explain anything, he just dropped his head and shook it, wiping away a few stray tears. Most were able to catch on. Bastille narrowed his eyes, growling and striking Everest in the face with a paw. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WATCH THEM! YOU COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT RIGHT! WHAT ARE YOU, USELESS?! I NEVER SHOULD HAVE TRUSTED YOU!"
  19. Starstruck met someone today. "What might your name be, madam?" He grinned, sitting himself down in front of the strange female. "I'm-" She cut herself off with a sneeze, rubbing her nose and then continuing. "Mitara." Starstruck tilted his head, noticing how frail and sick she looked, and was about to ask her if she had maybe been infected or something. That would have to be answered later, since it seemed something was happening back at camp.
  20. Yep, she's dead-super dead Especially in my playthroughs-
  21. Yeah, same here, I got a little bit of info (being friends with one of the mods has its perks) but I'm not completely sure
  22. He was pretty on edge. The other four had left to go gather food or something, and left Everest to keep an eye on the children. Not too hard, right? He could do it. He was just nervous. The world was more dangerous than ever right now. Things seemed okay. He was sitting in the nest with Pocky, and Wildfire was sleeping just next to him. Cocospill was playing around with some of the strange grass poking out of the snow. The only real danger seemed to be the bluebird circling overhead-but that wouldn't be a problem as long as he kept Pocky close. His gaze drifted down to the two children peacefully sleeping in the nest with him. He loved them. Even if they weren't technically his children, he really did love them. He was left to take care of them most of the time, considering he was deemed not very useful in any other fields. Even Almond didn't see them as much she would like to, since she was usually out gathering berries. A very familiar sound snapped him out of his thoughts. He immediately looked up, scanning his surroundings, and his heart sank as he spotted the source behind Cocospill. A monster was stumbling up to her, drawn forward by her joyful and oblivious humming. What could he do? He had to act quick. The first thing he tried was warning her, but that didn't work. It never did. Nobody could hear him, and all that accomplished was irritating his throat. He could go and try to defend her, but that would leave the other two children vulnerable-Wildfire was asleep and the bird could easily take Pocky. He didn't have many options. As the monster got closer and closer, Everest grabbed Pocky and managed to sling Wildfire over his back, running away and trying to not acknowledge the blood-curdling screams behind him.
  23. And finally, Bastille's son, who's definitely not the author's favorite. Nope. The author doesn't have favorites. ... Just don't expect him to die any time soon. (his name's Pocky)
  24. Yep, another one. This time it's Starstruck's. (this one is named Wildfire, and the last one was Cocospill)
