Actually they can affect gameplay on non-programer games (having to control drones without seeing them). I think sticking to programer mode for this feature would be preferable.

So when you edit a drone, there are times you wish you could borrow stuff from drones you already made. With a save as parts group button while having a bunch of parts selected (the one selected and all the ones hooked up to it), It would then be possible to reuse parts arrangements in multiple drones instead of without rebuilding from duplicates (or even from scratch).
