He laughed, paws flexing in place as they waited, then watched as Citrineflame took off. Driftsong bolted right after her, paws stretching out as far as they could go before plummeting and striking the ground below. He ran and ran, claws dulling wildly as they dug into the rocks and dirt, tail lashing around for balance. He laughed and smiled, feeling the wind against his face. This was how it should always be.

Driftsong nodded, internally wishing the cats in here well, before he turned to exit back into the rain. He quickened his pace towards Citrineflame, the patience he had with the elder beginning to run thin as he went faster and faster. He loved Darkflower as he would any other cat, but they could feel the energy built up in their paws from the slow walk escaping, and he loved it. He stopped himself right before he crashed into Citrineflame, smiling.

He turned his gaze to the lone elder, sympathy sweeping over him. "one moment." He stated simply, standing and walking over to Darkflower. They rested their tail on her flank. "Here, let me help you to the medicine den." He allowed the elder to put her weight on him as they slowly walked towards the medicine den. This wouldn't take too long, hopefully still enough time to berry hunt before his patrol.

He rolled their eyes, giggling. "Oh, that sounds like such a terrible idea!" He purred sarcastically, raising his paw to his chest as if he were some snobby kittypet, appalled by the thought of getting his paws dirty!

His tired and blank expression turned to a small smile, "Oh, and you don't look like you've been rolling in them." He teased back, splashing the dirty water below towards Citrineflame playfully.
