I think in order to make it fair the bearyena would have to be offered 15+ food in order to tame it? I absolutely love the idea of a new body type from it, though maybe add some negatives so it's not just an upgraded big body? Maybe enough reduction from heat resistance that even in climates that aren't that hot, resulting in reduced energy. That would exclude winter islands of course.

seahorsepie you can edit your post if you want, just a reminder. though I do agree with the idea of a bearyena body and also adding some dubuffs but I think getting hot even when not in a hot biome makes no sense, bearyena's are a mix of a bear, and a hyena edit: I just realized that you replyed this, oopsie.

Nichelings can have two separate eyes, but only ones that would make sense. Such as shortsighted eyes with shortsighted and eyes with eyes. The separate eyes would go like blind eyes with eyes and shortsighted eye with the shortsighted (more like blind) eye. Or with nocturnal, if there is a day creature mated with a night creature then the baby will have nocturnal eye and eye. Same goes with the shortsighted eye and blind eye(shortsighted eye and shortsighted nocturnal eye + blind eye and nocturnal eye) If a nicheling has blind eye, the eye would become nocturnal but be cloudy and would leave you with 0 eyesight 1 hearing and 2 smelling. If no nocturnal eye is present you can choose whether or not a blind eye is nocturnal. Two blind nocturnal eyes is the only acception of a nicheling being able to roam in the dark without having to have 2 nocturnal, they cannot roam during the day.

um this  is confusing, maybe edit it to add three genes, all nocternal versions of the exsisting eyes

  3. basil,do you plan on editing the post? not to be rude, but I have some ideas too, one that starts with a wanderer, so a tribe invites a wanderer in they breed, but are low on food, they produce twins and send them away one is female, and acts like a wanderer, they start with one gem and 30 food on a jungle island with some genes suited and half not suited to the enviroment, the other tribe is slightly newer and acts like the home island tribe but they wont recognize you until you get to the 20eth generation, and 100th day, they also travel on ports, going to a killer island to populate and act like a home island tribe on, meanwhile,  the babies are at the beach and get swept away by a tsunami. also the wanderer could be blind but add a new gene called injured eye that when breeded acts like a normal eye but gives no seeing.

you can leave food or nesting material beneath the tree

someone could make button art if you want. also, if the parravens are friendly, they could have a more likely chance of attacking blue birds, because the parravens could defend their prey and be more protective of their babies, and they should also get hostile at blue birds if they snatch the wounded chick at the bottom of the tree.

Could the eggs be "hatched" by a nicheling other than the mom? Like, the mom would lay the eggs on a nest, and then go off elsewhere, and another tribe mate would keep the eggs warm for her.

What would happen if the eggs were laid but no one would look after them/keep them warm overnight? Would they die?

Also, if they were left unprotected (no adult or teen on or beside the nest), I can imagine them being snatched away by bluebirds or perhaps some new fancy predator.^^

have you noticed this? you can edit because there will never be anything to stop you!

-On level one, you have 3 nests, right, and beside them there's a locked nest. but if you scrooooolll to the right all the way, there's a nest out in the middle of nowhere that is locked and need level 3 to unlock it. I'm guessing it's supposed to be hidden until you unlock whatever nest comes before it.

-this certain squeaky noise that sometimes happens. I can't really remember what makes the sound but I hate it. it's similar to nails on a chalkboard, i think

I think you're thinking about the erasing without a eraser noise on a paper
