For a second I thought this was accidentally put here by a Nimbatus person.. (Btw I have no clue what the Nimbatus game is...)
But, I like the burrowing idea, but the rest is unrealistic for niche I believe.how about beaver dams? they could be used to hunt fish easier

one thing though, the Pythadillo lizard automatically curls up and gains HIGH defense after being attacked, it can also strike and coil around an attacker to suffocate it, and if the stoat tried to grab it, it would be met with a mouthful of sharp, armored scales

Pyhtadillo VS Giant Stoat thing-
Who would win?
depends on stats and if the stoat could pierce the spiky armor or escape the clutches of it

I agree. When I was marching one of my tribes through the Savannah I realized there were fires at every port, so we had to wait and starve a bit until the flames moved. This is somewhat similar to an idea I had to stop the fires. When I was playing I made my Nichelings destroy all the grass in a 2 tile radius all around the fire, but it kept burning. I was hoping that they would add some kind of system where you could destroy 2-5 grass tiles and the fire would at least stop spreading...
as of now fire is unstoppable besides being rained on, also apparently the burning savannah is a "medium island" which is odd, with the way fire behaves now it's at least hard due to diminishing resources, also nichelings can have mole claws, maybe they could burrow or dig a "trench" to stop it?

one thing panda, apparently armored body may deter leeches in the future

I like the swimming idea Maybe there could be a sort of lure feature because the creature looks like a fish and so fish are more attracted to creatures with gills
cool, maybe they try to nip the gills, like how tiger barbs nip the fins of betta fish, it will deal 1 point of damage after 3 turns of adjacent contact

You are right gills are useless but I am not sure how they could be made better, because them giving fishing is a little odd.
Maybe it can let you unlock some sort of fishing snout? or give you swimming because it is streamlined, maybe 2 swimming

good idea, also the gills maybe it has fish-catching teeth?
-
Gills
they need more of a purpose, may I suggest 2 swimming or an ability to lure the smallest of fish to give it purpose?
Poison Fangs
perhaps we could bring back the 1 strength to this gene or add some sort of battle cry(boosts adjacent creatures attack by +2) with this gene?
Antlers
... a bit of a hassle to get, honestly outclassed by ram horns, perhaps they could add attractiveness in males? Because Male deer
Hammer tail
... a supposedly strong powerful offensive tail, only gives an honestly puny 1 point of attack, maybe it could also inflict some sort of knockback? maybe it can knock back an enemy 1 or 2 tiles?
or maybe this gene is ok now coz it has cracking

also Imagine the Pythadillo migrating or maybe randomly drifting to the island on flotsam

-
yes coz ALL the food in the mountain biome is meat and occasionally roots, and fish if there is a river
-
you don't, most of the food items there are too strong(Walrus deer), annoying(balance bear) to catch or not worth your time(Crabbit), also maybe if you attack them or try to with one attack creatures, they die instantly
-
cool, I like this because blind creatures are FRIGGIN USELESS as of now

the snow bunny is fluffy, and its thick fur gives it defense, one thing though, you would go to a mountain island with strong creatures normally

I really love this game. I've been playing non-stop. However, it would be nice to keep track of all my creatures' ancestors. As far as I'm concerned, I really love to watch their evolution over time and it's a big part of the fun. May be a clearer family tree also (like the one in the Sims or Crusader Kings 2). Thanks anyway for this great game!
... what do you mean by clearer?
-
or maybe they cannot go into certain biomes like no apes in cold biomes and no balance bears in hot biomes

maybe there were giant predatory arthropods like centipedes with the sheer size and intmidating power of arthropleura, the giant carboniferous millipede it's crazy I know, but prehistoric creatures have TONS of defense

AMAZING, also what if a pythadillo lizard managed to drift to the island or something? what effect would it have? would it kill everything?
also the Burrowing owlparrot is also based of the KAKAPO you should put it here

TO THE CONSOLE

ok, but one thing though, it seems a bit barren, so why go here? you needs to get wings and lots of other things to even move here, so I don't really see too much point in flapping around above the clouds, maybe nichelings have more vision due to their permanently elevated positions?
-
nice idea , I made something similar, but with firebreathing ants
-
wow, thanks
JAM Pheonix the 30 food worm is EXCEPTIONALLY RARE and spawns EXTREMELY RARELY(AS IN ABSURDLY RARELY), similar to real life giant earthworms, maybe it can scurry away or literally engulf one of your nichelings to try to kill it? then it will be a predator
also your friendly badgerbat idea is awesome and I will add it soon(done now)
and Randomwander, I never thought of that, cool, mostly coz I made this before the flying update in the niche wiki
