  1. Interdimensional timey-wimey cousins/siblings of sorts
  2. Your ship has a child. But uh- Autumn is dead :')
  3. (Just,, if you wanna,, I don't know if this is still open) Name: Forest Fire Expression: Whatever you want Other Information: Image:
  4. Autumn stirred, lifting her head. She opened her eyes, the familiar blindness of the night being the first thing she sees. Well- doesn’t see? There was also the sounds of a child. She looked down, squinting at the small fluff that was curled up next to her. She then realized where she was laying. She re-adjusted herself so that she was a little more comfortable, then curled her tail around the child. She tried whatever she could to get her vision to work with her, just so she could see the child. “Hey.” Cream seemed to materialize, sitting next to Autumn with a soft smile. Her gaze dropped to the nest, and settled down to lay next to the child. “It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it?” Autumn looked over at Cream and smiled. “I guess you could say that. Over here the weather’s been pretty bitter though. Er- literally I mean.” She pointed up at the starry sky. If it was day then she could probably have a better example of what she meant, y’know, since not much really happens at night. Cream chuckled, leaning down and nudging the child for a moment. “It hasn’t been very clear back at my place either, it rained just yesterday, in fact. I’m...a little concerned that I don’t remember much from before I woke up here. I’m sure it’s nothing though.” Her gaze locked on the stars, and she lifted up her good paw to gesture at the sky. “When he had time, my father would tell me stories about the stars. You can see shapes in them if you look hard enough-he said that every shape had a story to it.” Autumn looked up, just listening to what she had to say before doing anything else. “Well.. That can also be applied to nature, can’t it?” She looked around, then gestured to a berry bush in the distance. “Even the plants have a story. Even if it’s shorter than ours, it’s still a story. I know someone who likes to talk to the bushes sometimes… They’ll even try to hug the bush when they think nobody’s watching.” Ah yes, the things that muties pick up on when nichelings think nobody is paying attention. “Just because the bush doesn’t communicate with us doesn’t mean it can’t have it’s own life, y’know?” Cream nodded, tapping her paw against the ground-she seemed to do that a lot. “That makes sense. It’s kind of like how I feel with crabbits-everyone thinks I’m insane because I’ll sit there for hours and talk to them, but it...feels like they can understand me, even if they can’t communicate it. They never tried to hurt me, so that must mean something, right?” She looked back at the stars, squinting to try and find something. “There.” She pointed to a cluster of stars. “That one was always my favorite, the story of the nicheling in the waves.” She stared at the stars, nodding before looking back at Cream. “Waves…” She turned her head to look at the water. The water gave her a weird feeling. Y’know, considering what happened earlier. She then shook her head and turned back to look at the stars. “Are there any stars about…” She had to think for a moment. “Speech? Er- Limited speech?” She thought for a moment, again tapping her paw against the ground-didn’t that hurt with how much she was doing it?-then pointed at another cluster of stars. “Well, there’s the tale of Yukono. She was born without a voice, which was considered a death sentence in her tribe that valued the ability to sing over everything. They cast her out into the wilderness to fend for herself, but she survived purely on her other abilities. She came back one day to prove that she could be useful. She made a strange, but beautiful song simply by blowing through a rolled up leaf. That’s it, no speech needed. They accepted her back in, and she lived the rest of her days in peace.” She looked down at the ground in thought. One of her ears seemed to twitch a bit. “Would you believe that everyone here just.. Seems to ignore everything I’m saying?” She looked at Cream, then back at the ground. “Because whenever I talk to them they just look at me weirdly.” She was going to say something about the children, but when she looked around she couldn’t see any of them. She just shook her head again and looked down. Cream finally looked back from the stars, shooting Autumn a confused look. “Hm, that’s...odd. Maybe they’re just being difficult? I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t at least acknowledge you.” She sighed. “Sometimes I felt it was better to be ignored. Better than my siblings or mother getting violent with me.” She seemed almost...lost in thought, staring at the ground and doing that damn thing with her paw again. Then, she shook her head, gaze lowering to look at the child. “Did you name her?” “Well.. I’ve had an idea about her name. But I don’t know if it’s necessarily a good name?” She looked down at the child, who had been squirming around. “I kinda haven’t been awake since I got out of the water. I didn’t even know she came until just now..” Not LITERALLY just now- but when she woke up. “Forest Fire…?” She was kind of nervous. She didn’t exactly get to name any of her other children, this was the first one. Cream was silent for a few moments, before looking up from the child and smiling. “I like that, it suits her. Or, she reminds me of one anyway. Her fur looks like it might burn me if I touch her.” She shifted to get a bit more comfortable, resting her head on Autumn’s. And, of course, just like always, she started singing. Guess she liked doing that. “I was brought up in a line, but I seem to walk in circles. It’s getting hard to navigate, when every map was never made for me…” Autumn chirped and then went silent. It almost seemed like the equivalent to a child who just got told they were going to have their bedtime story read. Her ears perked up so she could listen to it clearly. Her breaths seemed a bit raspy, but nothing to worry about right? Cream didn’t seem to notice anything, just kept singing. “And I thought it would feel good, to understand why I was different. But my title just talks over me, I never even asked to be this way…” She paused for a moment, reaching down to gently run her paw over Forest Fire’s pelt. “But to say that I’m a rainbow-to tell me that I’m bright, when I’m so used to feeling wrong…” She took in a deep breath, closing her eyes. “Well, it makes me feel alright.” The red female buried her face into Cream’s fur as she slowly drifted off to sleep. Her breaths just got slower and slower… And eventually she just stopped breathing. She looked like she was at peace.. But for how long will she look like that exactly?
  5. Nobody could see what happened. Rusty was perfectly fine, then suddenly he was gone. They waiting for him to come back up, but he never did. Did Whoce jinx it? Was it some weird game those voices were trying to play? Was he actually just not going to come back up? She watched as what looked like bubbles raised to the surface, popping immediately when it reached the oxygen. That really was it… She looked at the others, who were all staring silently. After an uncomfortable period of silence, nichelings started crossing again. Nothing very exciting there.
  6. A few more nichelings crossed perfectly fine. Maybe it was just all of Autumn's fluffy fur that dragged her down? Maybe there was no other reason? Vipeje and Tumbleweed had both crossed, sticking close to each other (but not too close) so that Surface was secure. Tumbleweed took her sister with her as she walked into the grass on the new island segment. Vipeje stayed next to Call so she could help with healing any nichelings that might have breathed in a bit of water. Eventually, someone pushed Rusty closer to the water. Rusty stared at it, trembling as thoughts of his father flooded his mind. Whoce reassured him, and Aspen just kept pushing him closer to the water. Rusty tried his best not to cry as he stepped into the water. He took a deep breath and held it before going into the water. He kicked away from the sand, trying to kick at the water at a decent pace. Call and Vipeje both encouraged him from the other side, but that just made him feel worse. Suddenly, something yanked on one of his hind paws. He resisted the urge to scream as he was pulled under. He kicked desperately, looking back at his leg and seeing nothing. Thoughts started running through his mind at a million miles a second, and he desperately kicked at the water. All he could think about was dad… The water… Everything he was trying to push out... Rusty looked around, finding himself at a familiar shoreline. He stopped and stared at the water. His dad was there. He reached his paw out, but something confused him. He saw Blizzard in the water, holding Steel down. Steel tried to fight back, but Blizzard ended it with one swift hit to the head. Rusty just watched as Blizzard swam up to the shore. Blizzard popped up, taking a deep breath and dragging himself out of the water. Rusty just stared at the water. He couldn’t even see his father anymore because of how discoloured it was. Blizzard huffed, seeming a little disappointed. “Loosen up kid, he was a lost cause anyways. Now he can swim with the fishes, isn’t that a pleasant thought?” Rusty trembled, wanting nothing more than to end Blizzard right there and then. He had the strength, but… Something seemed to hold him back. “Hey, it was for the best. I’m your uncle, do you not believe in my judgement?” That grin.. Blizzard’s grin.. He knew he would get away with it.. Rusty tried to lift his claw, but his body wouldn’t move. It couldn’t move.. It felt heavy.. Like chains were holding him down. “What, you gone mute? You really gonna take after him? Pitiful..” Rusty screamed and lashed out at him, bringing a claw up towards his head- But suddenly it was just water. He shouldn’t have opened his mouth.. He kicked as hard as he could, coughing as his lungs filled with water. He looked up at the water’s surface. He could do it.. He could make it out.. He just needed to try.. But it was already too late...
  7. Everyone had gathered at the river. They needed some sort of plan- This river was deep, most of them probably couldn’t even get across on their own! Brikoi, after taking one look at everyone, freaked out and jumped right in. She made one good kick against the sand and was already at the other side. Once she got there she just ran. Echo and Call crossed together, sticking close to each other in case one of them had any problems. Luckily, they made it to the other side a-okay. Echo ran ahead to scout out the areas while Call stayed to help others get out of the water. Autumn walked over to Whoce, staring at the now grown pink nicheling. Sure, Whose had shorter fur than everyone else, but why would that matter to her? She quickly put Spring down, pinning the child with her paw before letting go of his scruff. He immediately started kicking at the sand, bloodshot eyes darting around without a single thought. Whose carefully picked up the restless child, then nodded at Autumn.Autumn turned towards the water, darting in and kicking at the sand. All her extra fur that surrounded her neck and made her tail the way it is only seemed to drag her down. She couldn’t keep her head above the water, but she sure as heck wasn’t going to give up. She went quite a bit under the water, holding her breath in for as long as she could. She kicked as hard as she could against the sand, letting some air out as she desperately kicked at the water, nearing closer and closer to the other side. She eventually made it close enough to the surface for Call to drag her up. Autumn coughed out quite a bit of water before collapsing. Call quickly dragged her over to a nearby nest before running back to the shore to help with other nichelings.
  8. Oh don't worry, your ship is already garunteed for next island ;) I don't understand your obsession for Fall I-
  9. Vote for who gets to go to next island! Those who stay behind face the consequences of not listening. Anybody with the "Not allowed" you cannot vote for. 11. Eventually, what was left of the tribe followed after where the others had ran off. Thos who were young or just couldn’t move were carried by the older nichelings. Vipeje was also finally tall enough to see things properly! There were no new noises anymore, but those who were affected are still dealing with those problems. Everyone’s doing their best to keep going, but when they’re blocked by a deep river it’s kinda hard. Some of them just ran straight in, holding their breaths and trying to get through as quick as possible.
  12. Vipeje looked around frantically. Rusty was trying to stop Brikoi from freaking out, but she eventually broke away and ran. Nobody could see where she went. She looked over at Autumn, who was making a weird whining noise- like an animal in pain- while watching Spring speed around in circles. He was so abnormally fast that all she could see was a red blur and the occasional feather flying away with the wind. It hurt her eyes to try and figure out exactly where he was. She looked back at Surface, who was sobbing uncontrollably and clawing into the ground. She kept opening and closing her eyes, trying to focus on Tumbleweed, who was talking to her to help Surface not focus on the pain. - Pop Autumn froze when she heard a loud popping noise right next to her ear. She whipped her head around, but nothing was there. Suddenly, the pop was right in front of her. She stared in front of her. Nothing was there. She looked back down at Spring, who was still running in circles. She heard the pop again- but it was a little ways away. Should she follow it? She heard it again- and she saw a glimpse of something. It was Cream! She had to be quick before she got too far away! She pounced onto Spring, and luckily she caught him. He started twitching a bunch, eyes darting around. She tried to ignore her concern, picking him up and looking over at Sunrise and Summer. She made a weird screechy noise, which caused them both to look over. She tapped her paw on the ground and they both came running. She motioned for them to follow as she starting running after Cream. She listened for every pop, following wherever it led her. - - Slight warning- just a little weird. Weird? Gruesome? Eh, I dunno how to explain it Crunch Debris watched as her new friends- er- cousins ran away with Autumn. She then looked up at Aspen, who just smiled nervously at her. She could tell he wanted to go chase Autumn, but he had to stay and watch her and Fall. She looked over at Fall, who was trying to plan a way for them to sneak away. He didn’t care if he’d get yelled at by dad- the voice told them to run and now all this weird stuff is happening- he wants his sister to be safe. Suddenly, something seemed to draw Debris closer to the closest berry bush. There was some sort of.. Urge. Like someone was reassuring her and guiding her towards something great. She hesitantly picked a berry, then stared at it for a moment. She shoved it in her mouth and bit down, accidentally biting part of her paw as well. She spit the berry out and stared at her paw. Sure it hurt, but something about it seemed.. Oddly satisfying. She bit down on her paw, and the wave of pain that went through her quickly changed to a rush of adrenaline. She kept repeating the same thing- biting various spots around her paw and enjoying the rush of adrenaline it gave her. She didn’t even notice the blood coming from the bites, she just kept going. - - No more warning, s’all good Bang Echo jumped when a loud noise echoed around her. She looked around and saw Call laying on the ground. She nudged her sister with her wing, narrowing her eyes confusedly. He flinched when she heard the noise again. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Aspen drop to the ground. She stared at him for a moment. The same noise repeated itself, and Rusty dropped unconscious. It happened a few more times, different nichelings dropping to the ground each time. She realized it was creating a trail. She broke into a run, following the trail, trying to figure out what was happening.
  13. - Snap Surface let out a yelp, and when the others looked they saw her laying in a weird position, almost like her spine was snapped but she wasn’t dying? Just like last time, Vipeje was the first to run over. Surface just whimpered and tried not to move, staring at her paw, which was stretched out in front of her face. She was scared, but just tried to stay focused on her paw. Maybe she could tune out the pain if she was distracted? Waves of pain shot through her body, and she bit her bottom lip to muffle the screams. What was happening? - Shriek. Spring immediately brought himself up to his paws and looked around. Autumn tried to reach for him, but he just started darting around in circles. The child was too fast for her- but why was he doing that? Autumn looked around at the others. They were all still focused on trying to help Surface. She looked back down at Spring. He didn’t even seem to be thinking- He was just running. She whimpered and just watched him, hoping he’d stop at some point. - Just a warning- This one’s a bit weird. Shatter Brikoi looked around when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. Her eyes widened when she saw an unnatural crack splitting the air. “Wh-What’s that?” Rusty looked over at her, tilting his head. He looked over at where her gaze was, then looked back at her with a puzzled expression. Brikoi looked at him, then back up at the crack splitting the air. She watched as the crack started branching, and suddenly shot down right through Rusty’s head. She ran over. “RUSTY!” She reached out a paw to him, and he suddenly started trying to speak- but there was something wrong. Seriously wrong. His eyes weren’t there, almost like he never had eyes, and he just prolonged the first word he said. “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-” Brikoi took a step back, then turned and started running. She yelped when something stomped on her tail. She turned back to see Steel, but now his horns were tilted and running straight through each other. “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-” She panicked and pushed him away. She yanked her tail back as he hit the ground. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” She yelled before turning and running as fast as she could.
  14. "You're such a showoff-" "Hey! I'm just warning them! Giving them a little motivation!" This time it was a snapping sound instead of a ding. Quick, but more painful.
  15. The nichelings all went to hold their head, headaches being common in this situation. Once the echoes of the noise finally left the area, the nichelings uncovered their ears. Suddenly, Tumbleweed started to choke. Vipeje ran up to her, trying to figure out what was wrong, but she didn’t seem to be choking on anything- just thin air. Tumbleweed doubled over, trying to breathe, which only made it worse for her. Her face started to show a blue-ish tint, probably from suffocation. Everybody started to freak out, and Vipeje was trying to do something- anything- to help Tumbleweed. Suddenly, Tumbleweed took a deep breath in, almost like she wasn’t getting oxygen before? She stumbled a bit, trying to balance. Her breathing quickened with her eyes widened. What just happened?
  16. "The last beginner has fallen. If you wish to continue, I'd advise you start running while you still can." "Yaya! And if you don't start moving..." A weird dinging sound split through the air.
  17. (This'll take seperate posts,, just bare with me) The tribe had all gathered in one spot, other than Aspen who stayed a little bit aways from the crowd with Summer and Sunrise. He had decided to watch then so that Autumn could take a break from all the stress. Thorne, the sole survivor of the beginning nichelings, was surrounded by happiness and warmth as he finally passed away from old age. Of course Rusty cried, but not for too long. He did have a feeling that his father wasn’t exactly as active as before, but it still hurt to see him go. The tribe was discussing all the deaths that had happened, who was the child of who, where all the twins would end up, when suddenly a strike of lightening cam down behind where Autumn was standing. The nichelings immediately panicked and backed away.

  19. Blizzard. He will hurt others in any way to get exactly what he wants. He's angy boi. If you ever need to know specific questions about him for plot reasons, just shoot me a PM. His pattern kinda,, doesn't matter (I say that while I spent time getting the exact pattern stuff put in for my playthrough-)
  20. Blizzard's worse than a bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbutterscotch pie.
  21. Gore warning? Gore and death? I'm sorry? Melen sat by the edge of the water, staring at the reflection of herself. She had close to no emotion shown. She only looked away when she heard something behind her. It was a weird clicking noise. Like a clicking noise someone makes when they’re trying to lure cats in. As soon as Melen caught a glimpse of them, she found herself pinned to the ground. She tried to say something, but water filled her lungs. How did she not notice she was being held underwater? She started trying to kick and claw at them, but it was all in vain. After a while she stopped struggling, her limbs slowly drifting down and resting next to the rest of her limp body. Blizzard smirked, then flicked his ears when he heard someone running at him. He turned, and when the noise of paws against the sand stopped he ducked. Butch flew right over his head, then crashed down into the sand. Butch growled and pulled himself back up. He ran at Blizzard, who was knocked back onto the sand. Butch tried to bite at him, but Blizzard kicked him off. They both quickly got back up on their paws, and Blizzard tackled Butch. Blizzard started using all his force, slamming his paw into Butch’s head repeatedly, ignoring the blood that started to soak his pure white fur. After a while, he stopped. Butch had gone limp minutes ago, but he just needed to make sure. You can never trust a poison fang… Blizzard flicked his ear and looked around. Wait- why was he looking? He can’t see anything! “Who’s there?!” “You… Mom.. Butch.. Why…” Blizzard growled and lunged at the small creature. It sounded like a child, but he honestly didn’t care. Something knocked him right out of the air, and he came crashing down onto the sand. He growled, kicking at them. Luckily, she was small enough to avoid the kicks. Autumn put her bearyena’s claw over his throat, sinking her claws into the side. “Yu. . . De-coor-v. . . t-i-k.” Autumn quickly yanked her claw, and cut straight through his throat. Blizzard’s eyes went wide as he struggled to breath, blood pouring out through his neck. Autumn got off of him, shaking her fur and looking over at Vipeje. She ran over and picked up the child by the scruff, then ran back towards the rest of the tribe.
  22. They had no idea what exactly happened. One moment Branits was talking, supposably happy, and the next moment he just dropped. Thorne was panicking a bit. What was Melen going to do when she came back and found her mate dead? She’d kill them! While Thorne was panicking, Rusty stopped to look down at Whoce. She was just staring at her dad, no clear emotion on her face. Rusty’s gaze softened and he just stayed silent for a bit. Other than the sneezes. Cursed sneezes. When Whoce finally looked up at him, there were tears welling in her eyes. She didn’t say anything, just let the tears run down her face. Rusty couldn’t stand it. He couldn’t stand seeing the child cry. He pulled the child closer and wrapped his tail around them. “It’s okay.. I know how it feels. I lost my father when I was a child too.. I still miss him.. But he’s in a better place. Your dad is going to that better place now.” He was whispering. Whoce stared up at him, blinking away the tears. She then buried her face into his fur, starting to tremble a little. Rusty held his breath for a moment to avoid sneezing, then shook his head and pulled the child into a hug. “It’s better there. He gets to be happy and do what he loves. And one day, when the day comes, you can join him. He’ll be there waiting for you when your soul is ready to go.”
