Kraken Guard

A greetings and salutations! I am the Kraken Guard, at your humblest service! I am quite new to Niche -- I've had the game on my wishlist for a while, and have only just started playing it. ^^

Alas, I'm afraid The First Attempt has been met with a depressing end, as everyone ended up going extinct...! Will attempt another playthrough -- hopefully with better luck -- soon!

Yeah, that's one thing I'm really surprised isn't really discussed -- starting the game, I was under the impression that Story Mode focused on Adam's journey back home -- and of course pick up a couple girls and make a couple babies on the way. However, Adam never lives that long! Even if you were to rush through the game, I imagine Adam's Home is a very long ways away. So he's never reunited with his family... I suppose you do reunite with them through his descendants -- and it depends on how receptive they are toward you, depending on certain genes from what I've read. But Adam himself never sees his family ever again... And I'm so surprised nobody talks about that, because that's SUPER sad! ~~~~~ Lais Day 23 My name is Lais. I am the offspring to Adam and Eve. My brothers are Tanu and Donkir. My mate is Rokuta, and my belly swells with his offspring. We have lost Adam and Eve, and our hearts are heavy... But I know we cannot linger, if we are to survive. And so we must move on...

Thank you very much, @Skysplash8! Had this game on my wishlist for quite a while and FINALLY got a chance to buy it! It takes a bit of getting used to, but I feel I'm getting a better hang of it! ^^ ~~~~~ Day 22 We have traveled far, but I fear time is beginning to weigh down upon my body. My heart aches. My beloved Eve did not make it through the night... I rest beside her... I had wished to bring her Home. Introduce her to my family. I... Had wished to see my family again. But it is not so... I look to my young... Tanu, Donkir, and Lais -- Two males, one female, already mated with the new male Rokuta. My heart does not feel quite so heavy as I look upon them... I fear what may become of them when I am gone. But I have hope... I depart this world with hope. That they will travel far, and thrive...

Day 17 We have traveled a ways. And we have mated and produced more offspring. Eve has become a lot more receptive toward me. I must be getting better. We also encountered a stray, with spikes on their body. We offered him food and made friends. We also encountered a peculiarly large, happy looking fellow. His stare makes us uncomfortable.

The First Attempt Adam Day 1 My name is Adam. I was abducted from my Home by a winged creature. I clawed at my captor, and was dropped from the sky. But I am far from Home... I am alone. I am tired. And I am scared. Day 2 My belly tells me that I am hungry. I found a berry bush, and have had my fill. I cannot survive by myself. I must find a way to leave this island. Day 4 I have found a strange stone on the other side of the island. There is a path that leads to another island. It is time I left this dark place. Day 5 I have arrived at the new island. It is small, but much more balmy tranquil. With each day that passes, I feel my body grow stronger. But still, if I am to survive, I must prosper, and thrive. Day 6 As I explore my surroundings, I meet another - a female named Eve. She is much different from I. I am orange. She is blue. I have fangs. She does not. She has webbed feet. I do not. I offered her food. She is friendly. I feel a strong urge. Day 7 Our first rutting didn't go quite so well... Once I had finished, Eve turned to me and swiped her claws at my face. However, her belly swells, and she carries my scent on her. I leave her to her nest as I depart to collect berries. My heart feels heavy. Day 8 I return with berries. There is a small one in the nest with her. Our offspring carries our scent. Eve greeted me with an affectionate gesture. I feel reassured.
