IDK, it's recorded in my storymode playthrough (episodes 23 and 24 pretty sure) if you want to watch back the footage and figure it out. I did use the give damage command a couple turns ago on him (to simulate a fight he had), which is mostly why he needed healing in the first place. Then I saw he was going to die soon and healed him with purr-face creature. All I know is he should've kept getting healed but he died instead, and that the healing effect had gone away on my nichelings before when I exited the game. And there were no bearyenas, I would've heard and saw them. If you can figure out what else happened to kill him that would be great, but even if he would've died anyways, the fact remains that every time I exit my game the purr effect goes away. I don't know why. Maybe it's supposed to happen. I thought the healing happens in the night sequence before the aging/dying, but I don't know for sure. If the aging/dying happens first then all creatures who are one day away from the damage bar should die even if you have someone purr for them.

    I'm going to test this

(But he was healed one day, and aged one day, so it's the same amount of space between. If the purr effect had gone on like it's supposed to, he would've kept healing one day for each day he aged, and he would've been fine. But the healing effect was only applied one day, and he ages and was healed one day of damage. Then I did his turn and a few other nichelings turns, left the game, came back, and skipped to next day. He still aged a day, but wasn't healed that day too, and he still had only one day before the red bar, so he died. It's a bit confusing I know, but basically the purr effect only happens when you skip the day, so they can only be healed one day for each one day lived. It's not a problem if your creature has more than one day before death in the first place, but if they have exactly one day before they reach the red, then the heal effect will only preserve their life for how many days the nicheling lives, so if it goes away, then the nicheling still dies that very day.

If he had only one day left the healing wouldn't have happened in time

This was a bit confusing, it would help if you said "said" after each name. Also I don't know who jumped at Oakstar, who whispered, and who first announced leaving, or how injured Oakstar was at all. But other than that, great drama! I knew this was coming and it's certainly interesting though kind of sad. We still don't know who the murderer is...or murderers... They could be lurking in either clan. Flipflame is surprisingly mature in this, perhaps they've become a good warrior after all. Can you update the allegiances with who is in which clan now?

Wrenclaw jumped at Oakstar, Mouseleap whispered, Oddwing announced. Oakstar is fine, he has plot armor, just a small cut.

"Who did this?" Oakstar was brimming with rage, glaring over all the clan.

"It could have been a rouge for all we know! How dare you accuse us?" And now Oddwing responded in kind. Unsurprising.

"I know it was one of you, so come here right now. Maybe it was you..."

A flash of brown leaped at Oakstar and blood spurred.

"Wrenclaw, that was a little bit earlier than intended..." A whisper, so that no one would hear.

"I will not stand for this! This sham of a clan is over, I will revive SwampClan. Anyone coming with me?" Mhh?

"Me and my kits are coming with you." Lilyripple.

"I'm coming with you, Lily." Root.

"I... I'm sorry... It's all- all..." Cinderspots, mom?

"I have to... take care of the clan, dad, I hope you understand." Grassmask

"Yeah, I hate this place." Wrenclaw.

"Then, I'm coming with you." Sunfrost, always following Wrenclaw around.

"Mhhh... I will stay here. For now." Flipflame.

"Well I've got training to do, so I'm coming with Wrenclaw." Pricklepaw-

"I'm your father! You ungrateful child" Shut up Oakstar.

"Shut up Oakstar, no one cares. Mouseleap is our dad. Gramps I'm coming." Tumblepaw...

"I, uh- I'll just stay with Mouseleap." Dustpaw

"I have to stay with Snakefeather, she still hasn't recovered." Lichenwing

    "Traitors, all of you!" Snowpelt.

Finchbright started walking toward her brother, she was going to the rebels until Snowpelt pinned her.

"Stop that." Flipflame was towering behind Snowpelt, the image of calm and strictness.

"And who are you to say that? You are just a spoiled kit." Finchbright tilted her head.

    "What about you?"

    "You foolish little-"

"I am going to stay." There, that got his attention.

Oddwing looked over his kin who would stay behind and nodded "Ancestors watch over you."

New to niche (just discovered it!) and love it.

Did some searching through the forums, but I might have missed the information I'm looking for.

Is there a way to find all nichelings with a particular trait?  For instance, if several of my nichelings have recessive Sticky Tongue, and I want to breed them to express the trait, is there a way that I can click on the gene/allele and have all nichelings in the family tree that carry the trait become highlighted?  I often forget between rounds who I want to breed together, and it would be super useful to have a way to locate individuals by specific traits without having to click through all of them individually.

Yes there is. Go to the family tree and you'll see an option to see who has a certain gene
