  1. The Nervous Brother "I think they can't hear yet, until the lights...err...eyes go back to normal." Unknown Newly Forgotten The sound of coughing was not all they heard as the memory faded, a crashing sound could be heard as well, and then somebody talking broke through, and suddenly they gasped. "You," they said, looking straight at the smaller shadow with spikes on their back (nervous brother). The Nervous Brother "You?" they asked, confused, "Me? What?"
  2. Niche rps tend to die, but all rps to die eventually and we do have a lot of fun before they do! There's been a lot of cool off topic rps and sims. But if you're looking for Niche RPs the best and most active one right now is this one: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/14714-place-of-the-forgotten-ones-the-third-era/ And it has a sister rp called Watching Eyes but I'm not really apart of that one so I can't tell you much about it.
  3. I made a Clan Gen youtube video! It's 40 minutes long cause I suck at time management lol. Also turn up your volume so you can better hear the commentary.
  4. Here's the first ever video I made a proper thumbnail for! Turn the volume up, my commentary is a bit muted, but at least I reduced that annoying background noise! Description: Our clan is called SavannaClan, a new clan which lives in burrows underneath a vast grassy plains. They used to be another clan generations ago, but upon their home being destroyed they wandered around until they found this place where they could easily catch prey and escape predators using their swiftness. But with so few members, and an unknown truly deadly danger able to strike suddenly any moon, will they be able to survive? This is the origin story of SavannaClan, one of the five clans of RemnantClan. I didn't really touch on this in my video, but it's true none-the-less. Enjoy me freaking out over the rat attacks and lack of adult cats and kits in our clan as our small clan is reduced even more in numbers.
  5. I would vote dark chocolate but aparently it has unhealthy levels of toxic stuff like lead (especially Hershey's, guess you get what you pay for...) Also white chocolate is my first love
  6. Gravel is useful for something, right? Would at least be useful in Minecraft...
  7. Unknown Newly Forgotten They blinked. All this noise... It was a bit overwhelming. But a couple of the words, "lost" and "help" triggered something in their mind. Their eyes flashed blue. A memory, yelling across the blue. That concerning constant noise drowning out the responses from the other side. But they understood one thing from the sinking feeling, no help was coming. "I'll be alright," someone next to them said, their voice weak and wheezing, before being thrown into another coughing fit. As they remembered, their whole body shook.
  8. Unknown Nicheling Suddenly they came to again, snapping their head up to look at this...noise. Seeing two glowing things, they took a step back. Nervous Brother Running just behind Sharp, they reached the spirit and seeing their confusion and fear, decided to try and talk to them, "It's alright. Sharp here may look danger...but they are just like you. And I am too. We came to save you from being alone."
  9. (Plot Twist: it's mee!!)) Unknown Nicheling Something else was out there, a noise penetrating the endless void. They were drawn to it, and moved in that direction, slowly at first, and then as fast as they could. Before...their head hurt, and the nothingness closed in around them. The awful feeling in their head stopped them in their tracks as they crumpled to the ground with a cry of pain.
  10. The nervous spirit couldn't quite get the concept of past, but danger they could grasp, "Right, so harm? But to what?" Interrupting the conversation, a yowl could be heard. It seemed they were getting closer to what they had heard from afar. "Over here!" Called out the spirit as loud as they could.
  11. "No, I don't think so," they said, a bit discouraged.
  12. "Maybe me and Theif might remember?" maybe it has something to do with the spirit we're trying to find.
  13. The nervous brother walked after the other two, keeping focused on the fact that there was some other spirit lost out there. But they noticed Sharp's pause and odd look as their eyes were thinking, "What's in your mind?"
  14. Thank you to Modiano and Gueste for voting so far! I'm happy to get such a fast response
  15. Uh maybe it should be moved now that I posted something not really niche related? Also I may start posting clan gen stuff too so I guess if it has to be Niche only to stay here instead of mostly Niche then it may need moved.
  16. I am writing a story (and have been for some time) about anthropomorphic (personified, as in they talk, think through problems, love, hate, and war) animals and would like to know what you all would prefer in such a story. It would be great to get as much input as possible. I've really hit a snag and your input would help me to be able to continue writing on this project that may one day be a published work. Feel free to ask questions about what the poll options mean if you don't know. As usual in my polls you can choose more than one option in most the questions (it will say how many options u can pick in the question title). If picking other, please write what in a post to this thread.
  17. "Yeah," they agreed "it's been coming from that way." The endless moor with its endless fog wasn't something the nervous brother looked forward to, but if there was another out there all alone, they had to find them.
  18. "There's somebody out there...I heard them. And we have to find them!"
  19. Not really having a choice, not wanting to be alone again, Nervous Brother took one last glance in the direction of the strange sound, and ran after Sharp.
  20. Taman's Daughter Moon 1 As the others waited, hidden in the grasses nearby, Pinky approached the small burrow that he had helped Taman's daughter find. Within seconds she appeared out of the burrow, with an anxious look. "What are you doing here? Should I be in a hurry? Are we in danger?" Her confusion was warranted, since Pinky had told her he would never come unless there was a reason, and to be ready to leave at a moment's notice. "No, you won't have to leave. In fact, now you will never have to leave your home again, if you so choose." "What do you mean?" "Your father is dead, so he will never come to bury the secrets you once kept." "Dead?" she said with a gasp, "How did it happen?" "He was trying to kill the outsiders as they left the island. He was ontop of one of them, killing them, and I had already swam out to see if I could help. I was clinging to this tiny rock island, and I cared about the cat deeply. So I knocked him off into the water. I didn't even realize he couldn't swim." "He drowned," she concluded simply, "what an awful way to go. I can't say he didn't deserve it, though." They stood there in silence for a minute, until she said, "But if you killed him, surely the rogue group will come for you. Thank you for telling me of my father's death, but the island is still just as dangerous." "Well, that's the other thing I needed to tell you-" "They're watching us," the young she-cat whispered urgently, tensing up. A rustle came from behind Pinky, and he turned to see Pierce standing there, "What did I-" he was interrupted as he heard someone cry out behind him. Taman's daughter had a leech stuck to her leg. It must've been washed in with the tide lapping at their paws. "Let me help with that," said Pinky. She backed up, tugging on the leech herself, "Why aren't you two fighting?" "I'm sorry to have frightened you, I just had to get a good look at you myself," explained Pierce. "What does he mean? What's going on here?" "I'm now the leader of the rogue group," said Pinky, unable to keep dancing around the issue. "What? How-why?" "Pinky here won the leader fight, killing Thrasher. Really he only entered it to save his own skin, nobody thought he would actually win. Taman's death was his fault, so we were going to kill him. But he explained that Taman had been playing us for fools the whole time, so he was given a chance. The new leader would decide his fate, and then he showed he was the strongest, so now he's leader." "But why? Can't you just walk away? No offense, Pierce, but living in your group is usually a dangerous proposition, especially being leader..." she turned back to Pinky, "you've put a target on your back!" Pinky turned to the orange male, "Pierce, go back to the others, let them know I wasn't lying. And wait for me there." "Right," he said, with a bit of a grumble. When he was gone, Pinky moved a bit further down the beach just in case. "Let me see your leg, we have to get that leech out." She nodded and grabbed a stick before lying down and sticking her leg out so he could grab the leech. She bit down on the stick as he pulled it out. Then briefly rinsed in salt water as she said, "You're in danger. Leaders of the rogue group don't last long. Besides, you're so kind, why would you want to be leader of such a cruel group?" "Basher, the most cruel and ambitious of the group, has left along with another member. I'm sure they'll be back for revenge, but if anyone else agreed with them they would've gone with them. I'll keep my eyes wide open for traitors none-the-less." "But you've never lived in a group before, have you?" "No, that doesn't mean I've never had interactions with other cats, though. Besides, my fighting skills are unrivaled. I already demonstrated that, they would be foolish to take me on." Taman's daughter laughed and shook her head, "Awful confident, aren't you? But again, why? Why not just walk away, go back to being a loner as you've always been?" Pinky paused, wondering if he should tell the truth, "I haven't told anyone this...but...well I would sound crazy if I told you." "Try me." "Some cats visited me in my dreams, told me to become leader of this group, in order to make them into something better. In order to redeem them." "OK, maybe you are crazy," she said in a teasing way. Pinky laughed, "Yeah, if someone said that to me I would think them crazy too." "You're the only cat that's ever made me laugh. And I know you wouldn't lie, so you've either gone insane, or are right. Either way is fine with me, but you need someone around to warn you of the dangers." "Do you want to come with me? Be apart of a group again?" She sat there for a minute, looking around the area, "I'll come with you. Like I said, you need someone to watch your back." "Thank you, ...T-" she doesn't have a name, she should. But what should it be? After thinking a couple minutes, he figured since they were now going to be a clan, she should have a clan name. How did those work again? "Do you want a proper name?" "Yes, I would like that. Not sure if the other group members would respect it though," she said with a hint of anxiety. "But I would. And they will too, eventually. How about...Shallow Paw?" "Like Red-claw's name, except it fits me better to have a paw than a claw. I like it. It reminds me of this place that I've called my home." "Good, now I'm going to go tell the group. You stay here while I do." "Nope, I'm right behind you. Remember, I'm the one who's going to watch your back!" "Right," said Pinky, smiling, but hoping this wasn't a mistake.
