  1. We already have a post for fluffy ears here:
  2. We already have a post for talons here:
  3. You can switch out save files to share with friends or to save for later. You can find save files by following steps here: And then make another folder somewhere else to copy and paste them into. Now you can safely delete the save file in-game to make a new game. If you want to import your old save file back in, you have to delete the current save file that is in the same location where that save is (for example, I have to delete the top save file to import something that was created on the top save file) and copy and paste your old save file into the folder you find through the link above.
  4. You can switch out save files to make more than 5 saves.
  5. Fun fact: the dominance used to be the other way around in older versions where melanism was more dominant than albinism
  6. Smaller ears = harder to see is what I think they’re going for
  7. Rock breaking is actually already apart of the game. You need to have 10 strength to break a rock.
  8. I would love more in the ocean, especially with a mostly water island! It was one of the main reasons I made this: so I thought I’d just throw it in here.
  9. Maybe we can take this a step further and have interactive loading screens. Nothing very big or course but just like a couple of small minigames you could pick from like Splatoon’s DLC.
  10. Yea, you’re right but in addition to what you said, you can also save colors as hot keys. Using purple as an example again, I could assign purple to the 1 key. Then when I’m playing a game and want the first gem to be purple, I would select the first gem and press 1 on my keyboard making the first gem purple. Then you wouldn’t need to make the same color for different creatures.
  11. Hi, just letting you know that your link isn’t working. You can get it to work by creating a shareable link. You do this by clicking the share button on your google docs page, and then click on shareable link. Then you can copy and paste that link here for people to see.
  12. @crazybrownmittens I don’t think I understand what you mean, could you clarify? When you program in a color/color set, it keeps the same color. Any programmed in colors would appear on the pop-up for the color cycle as well.
  13. Hi, this is the wrong bug forum. This is for Niche and is on Nimbatus. Don’t worry about it, it happens all the time. Anyways, console controls are not an actual part of the game and will not be fixed. It’s also always important to back up your save files just in case anything is game breaking.
  14. @thivid08 “Added model for female peacock tail“ quoted by @Micha on Patchnotes 1.1.3 Release Preview
  15. I think you might be referring to the two variations of calls
  16. I agree with @Dinocanid in that it is supposed to be annoying and that the penalty is that it is “ugly.” I personally like the derp snout, so it’s not so much of a problem for me, but I have read a lot of comments on the hate of derp snouts. For those who dislike derp snouts, the game teaches them that stats for survival are more important to focus on than appearance.
  17. Hey, I think you’ve got some pretty interesting genes here, but I think some of them need a bit of balancing. First, there’s a scaly body suggestion here: I think that the unique ability of the lizard tail should be enough and doesn’t need the added on distasteful appearance. Also the stats for no ears doesn’t make much sense to me, I see where you’re coming from but I think it can be better.
  18. For the achievement, we’re you connected to the internet and could see the steam overlay? If not, you wouldn’t have got it. If you were connected to the internet, just keep traveling to the east as (I don’t know if this is a glitch) I got the achievement after traveling to another island after the archipelago. About the there being no northern port, that can happen as you need to travel to the east on islands of the same level before you advance to a harder island to the north in story mode. Seeing full berries on bushes out of sight is normal as they are out of sight and your creatures cannot tell how many berries are actually fully grown back.
  19. Totally up for this if it’s toggleable. There’s times I’d definitely use it and definite not.
  20. Yea, I totally agree about the troubles of implementing them. My main thought for considering the idea was for people who would want a totally different inactive color from the active color to truly distinguish the two.
  21. I always love to follow naming themes! My naming themes usually come up naturally either based on some variation of a name that I ended up liking or based on the personality of the creature. The way I name my creatures isn't directly the word of the thing itself and is rather a mix between the word itself and something I think sounds like a niche name. My current naming themes are based on intelligence synonyms, monkeys, words that start with v, countries, gemstones, and happiness synonyms. You can see the types of names and themes I use here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1EIvPioDfGhCRBVnnZqF8tqRPBa-hYABbt9j4yG5kahA
  22. Yea, no I'm sure it's actually quite bad and obviously needs to be fixed, but just looking at it (especially still) is kinda appealing to me.
  23. Updated with a color cycle option! I also was considering adding an option to change the inactive color, thoughts?
  24. I've got to say, even though it's a bug, those nichelings look really cool.
