When creating nichelings, the normal dominance is still in play meaning that if you place a more dominant trait in the recessive slot, it will show.

Unfortunately, there is no current way to change the name of your save file after you start. However there have been suggestions for it in the feature requests:

I think more birds would be a great idea! I’ve actually been sitting on this bird idea I’ve had for a very long time and hopefully it’ll get to see the light of day soon (I’d love to release it with some concept art is anyone wants to give it a shot (PM me)). I think my favorite is the mocking warbler, I think it has a cool mechanic. Also as others have already stated, some creatures have health bars instead of lifespans which I think could be made more clear in game with this suggestion: I’d also recommend separating each bird into its own post so people can vote on them individually. I think this is a great idea! In my opinion, I think being able to reach the top of jungle trees would require your nicheling to be standing directly under the tree in order to fly up considering the height of them. Also here’s a suggestion that includes more uses for pine trees including perching:

For the wanderers thing, I swear I’ve seen that suggestion on here before, this is the closest I could find: As for the mobile thing, the devs have unfortunately already said that there are no current plans for mobile due to the large amount of programming effort it would take.

I believe what @VankirvanJD meant is that if a nicheling would normally have a stat of 4+, then that nicheling wouldn’t be able to gain any bonuses.
