"I'm sure they don't hate you. They still care for you; they're just too wrapped up in themselves to notice anything around them. I was like that once. When I was with him, you know." Kamado replied.
Iris looked crestfallen, but he didn't want to push Lockwood outside of his comfort zone. He just gave Lockwood a hug. "It's ok, don't be sorry. If you ever want to talk though, I'm here."
Otto nodded. "We can try and hide it. Can you just not use fire when they're around? Mainly Iris? He looks like he would kill someone if they bring him the wrong slushie flavor, let alone if he found out you can use another element now."
Iris grabbed Lockwood's hand. "I said, we're going with you. I'm sure Kamado wouldn't mind having his grandson back, and you two already seem to be in his favor. I can just hide on the ship and gather intel."
Iris nodded and walked towards Cedar and Otto. "We're going with you. To Kamado's ship." Otto's eyes were wide with surprise. "Uh, doesn't he want to kill you though?"
“Well, they’re made of some of the strongest metals on this earth, but o suppose they could still sink. If that happens, we have emergency procedures that guarantee everyone is safe. What do you mean you can’t die?” Kamado asked.
“That’s a really good idea. If we sneak onto the ships, we can spy on Kamado and gather intel. But we have to make sure we don’t get caught.” Iris smiled as he read the last line. “Aww thanks. Me too.”
“I know that. And it appears that he’s fond of Cedar and Otto too. But what about me? I’m not going to drop everything and join him.” Iris said. “I’m just scared.”
