Azure nodded. "We'd need to somehow sneak in too. If we flood the entire base with mythical creatures, they'll mow us down with their weapons and we'll never rescue anyone."

i cannot express my dislike of the west end version of Heathers: The Musical they cut blue which i mean i get why but still and the cast recording wont top the original recording i mean i get why, but candy store and freeze your brain just dont hit the same as they do in the original recording

Azure followed Indigo through the kelp forests towards the underwater palace. She began telling Indigo everything she experienced while in capture, from the horrible caging, to the brutal punishment of being turned into a science experiment. She then told Indigo how difficult it would be to kick the humans out. "Not only do they have super powerful weapons, one of their prisons is in the sky. So, even if we got all the merpeople together, we would never be able to reach the prisons."

Azure nodded, nausea filling her stomach. Humans are sick. she thought as she and Indigo swam farther underwater.

Azure nodded. "How are our numbers? Has anyone else been taken?"

Azure nodded, thinking of Golden and the pegasus. "Yeah. Its terrible. They're capturing all of us and taking our scales, feathers, horns, and other things to make potions. It makes me sick. Not to mention that they're all ruthless." she thought back to Calix.

Azure hugged Indigo. "It was crazy. The humans had tons of creatures in cages, and I think I met their leader too..."

(ok lmao) Calix looked at the mermaid, her eyes full of fear. However, her face was etched with nothing but pure anger, whether it was because she was mad that she had been shot or mad that the shot didn't kill her, Calix didn't know. He faltered, and lowered his gun. That was his mistake. Without hesitation, Azure used her unharmed leg and kicked Calix in the gut. He choked, and dropped the gun, gasping for air. Azure picked up the weapon. "Hmm, human technology always confused me." She said. She glared at Calix, who was on the ground, clutching his stomach. He looked up at her. He never realized how scary Azure was. Her bright blue eyes seemed to be flaming, and she looked bent on killing him and everything that stood in her way in that moment. However, there was a beautiful and kind composure in the way she held herself. She looked down at him, her brown hair clinging to the side of her face. She threw the gun back to Calix. "If I ever see you again I will kill you." she spat. And with that, she turned and walked towards the beach.

"No! I don't want you to kill me! What lunatic wants to die!" Azure spat. "But, you've shot me at least 4 times, I haven't slept in days, and your promotion with that boss man of yours seems to rely on my corpse being delivered to him, so its either keep on making me angry or just shoot me. The choice is yours."

Azure stumbled and bit back a cry of pain. Tears swelled in her eyes, and she just laughed. "Pathetic. Can't even bring yourself to kill me."

Azure was still staring at Calix, and saw a look of hesitation wash over his face. She smirked. "What, scared? Go on" she didn't know what she was doing, but she spread her arms out, almost mockingly. "Do it. Kill me. Get your promotion. Prove to everyone else in this place that you're just another human who thinks they're above it all."

Azure froze, sweat trickling down her forehead. "Yeah, um, I did." She smiled nervously. "You're not gonna kill me, right? Whatever happened to damages decrease my worth?" she looked into the barrel of the gun, and then at Calix, who's face was blank and showed no remorse. (its ok i get it)

As Azure rounded a tree, she was met with two familiar sights. One, the sight of the ocean. And two, Calix's smirking face, and his gun pointed right at her.

There wasn't much left, Azure noted. Most of the homes had been burned to the ground by the humans. However, she managed to find a simple pair of cloth pants and a loose shirt. She threw them on, and ran into the nearby woods.

Azure sunk to the bottom of the shallow pond, her legs fusing into her tail. I have to warn the others. And knowing how stupid humans are, Calix and his gang of soldiers are probably not far behind me... she thought.

Azure thrust her hand out, flicking her wrist. The small pond spurted upward into a geyser. She was now only a few yards from the ground. She began to panic, rapidly moving her arms, trying to get the water to bend and catch her.

Azure wished she had looked at how high up the window was. She found herself falling through the sky, the green of land miles below her. Well [redacted]. she thought. She turned her head and saw her prison floating in the sky, and the tiny dot of what she assumed was Calix staring at her falling body through the broken window.

Azure sprinted down a hall. An alarm was blaring now, the loud, shrill sound echoing in her head. Her wounds stung from where the glass had cut her. Calix was close behind her. She saw the window, and dove for it.

Azure rolled over, dodging Calix, and bolted to her feet. She tried to run, but couldn't, the five guards surrounding her.

Crap. I have to find a way to stall. Azure looked at the group of guards. There were about five of them, including Calix. The glass coffin was filled with water, but her arms were pinned against the walls. She started to panic. When I get to that room, I'm dead. And there are five of them versus me. She began to wriggle around in the coffin, trying to free her arms. C'mon, if I can just... She grinned as one of her hands was unplastered from her side and was free to move. She smirked, and flicked her wrist. The water in her coffin bended, and went shooting out on all sides, causing the sides to shatter and Azure to fall to the floor. She landed in the shards of glass, scraping her elbows and hands. She struggled to her feet, and looked at Calix's face of pure rage and horror.

As if on que, a group of guards appeared in the room and marched over to Azure's cage. She noticed Calix at the front of the horde, grinning maliciously. "Oh well lovely! You brought friends. I didn't know you had any." she glared.

Azure nodded. "We need to be fast. I can set you two free, and I can watch the door as you free everyone else."

Azure nodded. "I just don't want you to get hurt." She glanced around the room, and spotted a door on the far side of the room, brandishing the words KEYS on it. It was partially blocked by an empty glass cage. "I have an idea." She turned towards Golden and the pegasus. "So, when they took me out and attempted to kill me, I saw quite a few female guards. I know that they'll come back for me, I mean I really pissed off this guy named Alex and his boss. I'm thinking when I'm on my way to the room, when I find an obscured area, I knock out the guard who's escorting me and take their uniform. After that, I can walk around without someone batting an eye. There are tons of windows everywhere, which we can break and escape out of. After I take the uniform, I can come back into this room and free you guys using the keys in that room over there." she pointed to the door she noticed everywhere. "I can pretend to be escorting you two, and at the last second, I break the glass window, and we all escape." She looked at the bewildered faces both Golden and the pegasus had on their faces.

Azure shuddered. "Yeah, and I really don't want to be skinned and stripped of all my scales." She glanced around the room, looking at the cages lined against the walls. "Okay, here's the plan. We're going to need a few things. First, we need to figure out how to get out of these things." The pointed at the container trapping her. "And after we're free, we're going to need a big enough distraction to deter everyone's attention from us so we can escape. And before we do that, we need to figure out how to escape."
