"I can't believe you're alive! How did you survive?" Iris broke away from the hug and looked at Cedar concerningly.

Iris sat up as Lynx entered the cavern, followed by Cedar. Iris jumped to his feet. "CEDAR!!!!!" he cried, embracing him in a hug. "You're alive!!!"

(Make like Isaac and interrupt a wholesome gay moment)

"You think?"

"Uh, yeah..."

Iris's face turned so red he could have sworn his ears were steaming.

"Well then I'd be lying, and you know I hate doing that." Iris admitted.

Iris layed down on the ground. "I heard you tell me you liked your best friend but I didn't think it was me." he admitted.

"You... you like me?" Iris's face turned so red he almost morphed into a cherry.

(*Vivus in the background intensifies*)

"Huh?" Iris looked confused. "About?"

Iris's face turned even more red too.

Iris laughed. "You look like a tomato."

(The realization that Vivus is canonically still in this room.)

"Look who's turning red now." Iris teased.

"Ugh why are you like this." Iris laughed.

"Uhhh no reason." Iris hid his face in his jacket.

Iris's face turned red as a tomato. "T-thanks." he managed, and hugged Lockwood back.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." Iris twiddled his thumbs nervously. "My point is you're not a worthless person. You're one of the kindest people I've ever met and if your mom couldn't see that, then, well... uh I don't really know but you get my point." he laughed.

"No, she wasn't. Trust me." Iris looked into Lockwood's eyes. "You're an amazing person and if your mom couldn't see that then she's blind."
