Morning all! Here is Larara, with her new baby Dukku sitting in the nest next to her! 💖 I'm trying to breed a group a big eared, antlered, poison fanged, and stinky tailed nichelings before moving onto the next island.

I didn't add any art but this lovely Nicheling "Larara" was born looking just right for Halloween! I love how she has one orange front paw! Have a good holiday and stay safe. ❤️

I know nobody has posted to this topic in years, but has anyone else noticed that if you don't kill a bearyena off quickly that more tend to spawn? I was told by Seri!PixelBiologist that killer bearyena can summon other bearyena, but I have also noticed this tendency with normal bearyena as well.

Does sound interesting.. I definitely love wandering nichelings, they make the game exciting. It could be really cool for the wandering packs to be friendly, or unfriendly. You could have certain actions to take that could turn an unfriendly pack friendly, and vice versa. An unfriendly pack could purposely steal food, attack your members, or even kidnap unattended babies! My only concern is this does sound a little complicated to have all of this stuff going on in the background of the game, maybe they could figure out how to simplify it somewhat? I don't know a whole lot about game creation.. Anyway, upvoted!

Ditto, I was just musing about this last night! I want to be able to see where my tribe has come from, because it is easy to forget after so many generations. Great suggestion Leonardo bueno!

@Micha My computer sometimes gets really slow when I run Niche. I play on a laptop and I really need a better graphics card because when I run the game it puts my computer at full capacity. I closed the game out but it took a long time for it to close, it kept "not responding" but finally closed out. The next night when I opened it up it showed there was no game in that slot, even though it's still in the folder. Wow, that is super crazy that the file is completely empty. Ugh, well there went 350 hours! Anyway, thanks for looking into it.

@Philo I didn't use the console.. Just playing the regular game. Logged off one night then the next night I tried to play and it was totally absent from the save files when I open the game. Thanks for the help.

@Philo This morning when I logged into Niche my favorite tribe's save file was gone. I looked in the folder and it is still showing in the folder. I tried moving it out of the folder and putting it back in to no avail. I've logged a lot of hours on this and I'm so sad it is lost! I've attached the file that remains in the save file folder.. I was hoping you guys could help me figure this out... Slot3.nichesave

Sounds like fun, especially if the islands are very unique. Excited to hear what you come up with.

I noticed a small error while playing Niche this morning. When I viewed my nicheling Sianako (she's red with big ears, spikes, and poison fangs) in the gameplay window her genes look as they should when I check them. But when I go to the family tree window and look at her "DNA" strand, it shows that her bearyena snout is the dominant gene and that poison fangs is inactive - which isn't correct. Was thinking about trying this update and checking out the new tutorial. I just want to know, is it going to affect my previous saved games? Just wanted to let you guys know I really love your game and I'm really looking forward to the possibility of new genes to play with in the future! Thanks.
