    @Lilytuft I do!
  3. I went to one of my savefiles today. I had used up everyone's turns last time I played, so I just set some mutations on the females that were about to give birth. I passed the day, and after I moved a couple of Nichelings, I noticed that the skeleton of one of my creatures can see stuff.Help! There's a ghost in my savefile! Slot1.nichesave
  4. You need to play on the latest release (which has the same features as release_preview, but a lot of bugs have been fixed). @Philo?
  5. By the way, wandering females will attempt to be within one tile of a Peacock-Tailed male.
  6. 1: Make sure the save slots match up. You can't have more than one slot 1 Game in use, for example. So, let's say the savefile you're trying load is for save 0 (the top one in-game). Make sure there are't any other save 0s in the folder. 2: This is what I do: Delete the save file in whichever slot I need to be empty. Copy and paste the savefile into the saves folder. Either exit and reopen the game or open a different savefile and go back to the main menu. This has never failed for me!
  7. If Gilled creatures could only live in the water, that would be a big problem. How would you get to Home Island with a Gilled tribe? On the way you have to (no matter what) go through an island with no water. Your whole tribe would die!
  8. It's a Whims of Fate challenge, but I'll do what i did with her Grandfather (Bear) and take a screenshot without looking at it and then let myself look at it after a while (so that everybody's genes will be completely different than hers by then-that way I don't know exactly what genes are in my tribe right now )
  9. The Beloved Bluebird Bear of Bear Island who eats the unwanted babies for breakfast. And the amazing Awesome Bluebirds of Healing Fruit Island (From another tribe)! (You can only see two Healing Fruits, but trust me, there's a lot)
  10. What ChasingNyx said But I'll say it in a bit more detail. It is, as they said, a Blind Genes challenge, so you can't look at your creatures genes. Once you start, choose one of your two creatures to be leader. You don't have to have them really lead if you don't want them to, but for as long as that Nicheling lives, your tribe may only have a set amount of creatures in it. The number will be 2-20, the exact number will be determined by a random generator (Dice, Online Random Number Generator, etc). Everytime your leader died, you have to choose a new one, and generate a new tribe size number. Whenever you want to breed your creatures, you need to set their mutations. One of them is set by a random generator (use the one that ChasingNyx linked), and the other can be whatever you want. This is quite fun, as sometimes it might give your really perfect creatures Infertility (That's what happened to me), or it might make matters worse and give you short-sighted creature Blind Eyes (Happened to me too..), or it might actually be helpful and give your creature High Fertility when it really needs it (Happened to me as well!). Right before I looked at your post I was playing on my Whims of Fate challenge
  11. I released Sickly Bear... and now she has spread her sickness to 3 of the other former tribemates + Nut-cracking Bear. Why, Sickly Bear?? Do you wish to curse us forever?? Edit: Strong Bear and Stronger Bear had twins. Note to self: Breeding Strong Bear and Stronger Bear results in Sickly and possibly Blind children. And the Random Mutation generator isn't helping very well. (I know he's short-sighted because his Eyesight stat is 1.) Though Strong Bear didn't have much luck having kids with Stronger Bear, Strong Bear's child (whose father was a wanderer) did! Now that Strong Bear that passed away (R.I.P. 😢), Even Stronger Bear is leader. But her little sister still needs a name! Please give me some suggestions!
  12. Looks like Strong bear is the winner! Sorry, Stronger Bear Maybe they'll have a kid or two once they grow up. I used my Random Generator, and Strong Bear is allowed to have... 10 Nichelings in her tribe! At least we were already down to 14 (the limit was 17, though), so she only has to release 4 of her tribemates... which means everyone who isn't a Bear!
  13. I trust myself, okay? I put my hand up in front of their genes when I name them/took that screenshot of the family tree. You (or at least I) can tell that I didn't crop it the best because I was trying not to look. I really wish I could look at their genes though because many, many generations ago there was a Nicheling with a really pretty mask and I wanted to know how to recreate it so badly
  14. I can't see their genes from the genetics menu, but I can see the genes that they have active by just looking at them. And I can guess recessives by what their parents have active and what their other children have active (and the mutation menu genes).
  15. @Moonar Landing But... Stronger Bear is stronger (hence his name). He has 6 strength (Claw + Bearyena Claw + Medium Body), while Strong Bear has 5 (Claw + Claw + Medium Body). Plus, as an added bonus I didn't mention, Stronger Bear's father has active Peacock Tail, pretty much guaranteeing him recessive Peacock Tail (or a cooler tail that his father had as recessive). Though Little Bear (Stronger Bear's father) is the much older half-brother of Strong Bear, so she could have it recessive too I'm gonna edit it tomorrow (I gotta go to bed now, it's 10:30 p.m. for me!) and do some pros and cons
  16. So.. my precious Bear died, leaving his tribe leaderless. But I can't decide who I want to be leader! So, I'm doing a poll! (Note: This tribe is a Whims of Fate challenge, so I can't show their genes.) Chose between... Strong Bear, daughter of Bear. Strong Bear's Pros: -Prettier -Female -Better Fertility -May have recessive Poison Fangs (Which I've been trying to keep alive for generations) -Better Fishing Ability Strong Bear's Cons: -Weaker than Stronger Bear -Day older than Stronger Bear (I guess it doesn't matter that much) -Probably has bad recessive eyesight (mother was a wanderer) -Might have Webbed Hind-legs recessive (mother was a wanderer) -Might have an unwanted recessive body gene (mother was a wanderer + Lean Body has been running around in the family and some of her siblings have it) -Has black eyes (which I don't like) Strong Bear's Mutations: Purr Snout (Randomly Chosen) and Ram Horns (what I chose) Or Stronger Bear, son of Little Bear. Stronger Bear's Pros: -Stronger than Strong Bear (hence the name) -Day younger than Strong Bear -Since his father has active Peacock Tail, he most likely has it recessive. A few of his sisters have it active, too. -Could pass on that Bearyena Claw -Will inherit a tree stump next to a tree + a Healing Fruit (once it grows back...) -Pretty Blue eyes Stronger Bear's Cons: -Has 1 Infertile gene (I know this because of the way his parent's fertility stats are both 5, which can only be 3 + 2, and his father got Infertility as is randomly chosen gene. -Has a low chance of having recessive bad eyesight (grandmother was a wanderer) -Has a low chance of having Webbed Hindlegs recessive (grandmother was a wanderer) -Possibly has recessive Lean Body or another unwanted body gene (His grandmother was a wanderer + Lean Body has been running around in the family) Stronger Bear's Mutations: Mask (Randomly chosen) and High Fertility (What I chose)
  17. Share all the stuff that happened to your Nichelings while they were in the jungle here! R.I.P.... R.I.P. a female whose father was a rogue-male, a beloved female, and their two rogue-born sons. Oh, look, an Ape and a Rogue Male are here too. Last and not least, Mekoko, the Goddess of Trickery. (She appeared to the same tribe as the one just above) First of all, she appeared to a Nicheling who was inside a carnivorous plant as his relative tried to help get him out. I thought she was trying to save this poor creature at first, but after the next event it looks more like she was helping the plant eat its victim. Eee. Then, as two females who were pregnant with a Rogue Male's children were searching for a safe place away from the carnivorous plants and sickness bugs, Mekoko appeared yet again. The two females followed her, expecting a safe place. They found a place seemingly safe, and had their sons. Later, as these two mothers were swallowed by carnivorous plants and taunted by a Big nosed Ape, they were mistaken. This 'Goddess of Safety', as they called her, was not a Goddess of Safety. She was a Goddess of Trickery. *dun dun DUNNN*
  18. I've been wanting and trying to get Bearyena Ears on my main savefile for SO long. Then, on my Whims of Fate save, I finally took a risk and finally got a baby with Bearyena Ears!! He looks like a true cat. (I didn't really care about any of the other genes except Bearyena Ears, so I just bred a female with a Friendly bearyena, waited till their daughter grew up, and bred her with her father. I know, weird, but I just wanted those ears, okay??) On the second island afterwards (I just skipped over a Tiny green in between, so it wasn't that much later), I gave my two breeders Bearyena Ears in their mutations. AND I GOT A LITTLE BEARRR!! (in the picture, the peacock-tailed bear (Little Bear) is his half-brother... whose mother ended up being Bear's mate. Heheh. She's the spiky body one) I named him bear While I was playing, i moved one of my creatures and the resident Bluebird decided to photobomb. I affectionately (even though he ate my precious Little but Strong Bear) dubbed him Bluebird Bear. Here's a picture of the family tree right I took right before Bear died. R.I.P. Bear 😢 I'm so creative with these names. (The ones with game-generated names are not bears)
  19. I'm not sure about the difference between grass Adventure and Grass Mingle, but Whale Island is on medium because of Bearyenas and Rogue Males. Though it's still pretty easy to survive on :3
  20. I'm the one who made that Wiki page I guess I need to update it some more..
  21. (This was supposed to be posted a week or 2 ago, but it kept showing me a 404 message) So, I made a new savefile on an Oasis island. I thought it was cool how there was purple water (It IS supposed to be purple, right..?). Then I exited to the main menu and went to my other tribe that is currently on a large grass island. And for some reason, the water was purple.
  22. @Amaterasu I'm pretty sure they don't eat their own cubs, but if they take over a pride, they'll kill and eat the previous leader's cubs. Bears (Maybe just brown?) bears do this too.
