'It's like herding cats!' Thief sighed exasperatedly. He had no idea what that expression meant, only that he felt more than annoyed. Still, he didn't want anyone to get lost or hurt. 'I'll go.' '...Okay?' Thief walked slowly towards the new spirit. He didn't want to scare them, and they already had reason enough to run off. Thief knew how it felt to be that afraid, after one of his memory flashes he felt like everything was an enemy. 'You have to be more careful. Not everyone likes being touched or carried, and you shouldn't touch them without them letting you.' He said to the striped nicheling as he passed by. But there was no anger in his voice. She had had a different life to him, perhaps she just genuinely didn't know that. Thief guessed she wanted to help, so it was an honest mistake. 'Hey its alright, we're not going to hurt you.' Thief spoke slowly and gently to the new spirit. 'She just wanted to help. Out there-' he pointed towards the empty moors. 'Is danger. We don't want you to get hurt.' Thief's eyes were filled with concern. -

'Get back to the swamp I guess.' Thief started walking in the direction of the trees that were now clear. -

'I have no clue.' Thief said weakly. 'Ok. Great. That. Wish I could do that.' He grumbled, before fixing himself and returning to his cheerier self. He noticed that the spirit that had been talking to Crystal seemed to want to get back to the swamp. 'You think that if we start walking, the spirit will follow?' he asked the Nervous Brother about the new one. Thief was already getting anxious again, there were so many new people here. At least he could chalk up the nervousness to the fact that the last time he had been around a big group when he was alive, they had hurt him. He wanted to get everyone back to the swamp as soon as possible. -

'It's just a memory, it's not here right now!' Thief agreed with the Nervous Brother. Sharp was quite obviously freaking out, but Thief didn't really know what to do. 'Just breathe, alright? No one here will hurt you. Right now, you're safe.' He said this both to the new spirit and to Sharp. -
Just asking, when is the next round starting?

Thief glanced over. The mumbling suddenly gave way to an angry yelling. But it wasn't crystal yelling, was it? He was somewhere else. The yellow and black nicheling was beside him again. He was much clearer than in the previous memories, Thief saw that they were about the same age in the memory. The nicheling had antlers, heat body, and a peacock tail, and he wore a large grin in his face. Thief felt himself smiling right back. They were running and laughing, while someone was yelling at them from behind. Thief turned around and saw an old nicheling, she looked like someone had tripped her, and the berries she was carrying were spilled everywhere. 'You nuisances!' she screamed after them. 'I don't even know why your mother puts up with you two!' Thief and the other nicheling just laughed, and kept running. Thief nudged the nicheling, and then they started playfighting, the sun shining brightly in the sky. The memory slowly faded. Thief felt alone again. As he got back to his senses, he realised: I have a brother. Had. That nicheling said how did our mother put up with us, that means we shared a mother! His spirits fell again when he remembered what happened when the gray nicheling broke his paw. His brother had turned away. Left him. The dark nicheling that Thief had killed must have been important to his brother. More important than Thief had been. His mind was spinning. Thief barely noticed, his mind caught up in his own thoughts, but once he did notice, he put a comforting paw on his friends shoulder, and cast a worried glance over at Sharp. The screaming snapped Thief out of his own thoughts. Thief didn't know what to do. He tried to get in front of the new nicheling, to bring them back out of wherever the memory had brought them. 'Wake up! Please!' He said as loud as he could without yelling. For some reason yelling had never agreed with him. -

'Well, ok then, I'm pretty sure the swamps that way, the fog cleared a bit.' Thief pointed in the direction he saw the tree. Then he got up and started walking. -

'I mean, I don't know if they're okay with going.' He pointed at the spirit the Nervous Brother found. 'But I'm going, yeah.' Thief started walking in the direction of the swamp. Or where he thought the swamp was. After all, they were still technically lost. 'On second thought, let's stay with the others until we're 100 percent sure that's the right way.' He said, trying to keep the nervousness out of his voice. He got lost once, that was enough for him. He sat down for a second, glad to give his bad paw a rest, as he squinted into the horizon, trying to see through the fog. He thought he saw a tree? -

'Uh.' Thief turned around. They had picked up quite a few nichelings, Thief wasn't really keeping track. 'Six?' he said, slightly unsure of himself. 'Here, this way.' he pointed towards where the swamp was. -

Thief glanced gratefully over at Sharp. 'What he said.' Thief said, flicking his tail in Sharp's direction. 'Her name is Guiding. She's been here a while, i'm sure she can answer all your questions.' He said to both the spirit that the Nervous Brother found, and to the other new one. 'Besides, we've been out on the moors for way too long, I want to see something that isn't endless nothingness.' Thief tried to joke. -

Thief shot a glare at the two. He was now getting used to the fact that the familiar feeling of rage boiled in him whenever the scarred spirit opened her mouth to speak. He shouldered past both of them. 'They probably broke that news not so gently.' Thief tried to make himself sound friendly. He was getting pretty good at it with the amount of nichelings showing up here. 'There's a nicheling that can explain it all very well, she's in that swamp over there. We were just about to go over. Do you want to come with us?' Thief was a small nicheling, even though he was sure that he was at least older than a teen, so he didn't look very intimidating. -

Javai really couldn't help it. He started laughing, but it sounded a bit manic. Eventually he got a hold of himself. 'Sorry.' He muttered quietly. 'I guess she's loving to family or something. Not strangers.' 'Well, you're not her, you just look like her. You don't act like her so I don't see why anyone would avoid you because you look like someone.' Javai settled back down. 'I don't know where your sister is or where she went. Go look for her yourself, I have no desire to see that nicheling again.' Javai closed his eyes and flicked an ear, marking the end of the conversation. This was rude, even for him, but he ignored it. -
Yeah, they're taking forever and not responding to pings, while everyone else has to wait. The deadline has passed and it's kind of their loss if they haven't submitted yet.

Thief looked just as confused. 'Do you know him?' he asked the new nicheling, gesturing towards the Nervous Brother.
