@bostonlobstah The new bears were designed by Kickstarter backers ^^ We'll post some work in progress screenshots of them soon. @Snowy Owl I think we'll keep this discussion going for quite a while I hope that we can contiously add new things to the sandbox customization, not just this once. -
@Snowy Owl I don't know yet either But I'm pretty confident we'll find a solution for this. Maybe we could just set the duration of each life period? -> Baby 3, Child 1, Teen 5, Adult 40 or something like this ^^

@Lilytuft Oh wow Was your suggestion new mane styles? It was a very close call! But indeed, the higher the effort, the higher the idea needs to be in the voting. -
You mean with the unique genes? Imagine we both start playing the game. You get, let's say "Bunny Ears" and I get a "Gecko Tail" gene in the game. But I can never find Bunny Ears in my game. So you'd send me one of your animals that you exported And I'd send you one with Gecko Tail, which you wouldn't be able to find in the game.

I think it's enough if you type reset ^^ And then use the up arrow to choose the above option.

This sounds like two different suggestions to me: - Changig stats of genes - Changing stats of predators/prey Maybe you could split this suggestion into two :)? -

There are many players who do challenges in Niche already. I think it would be great if you could design challenges and also include a win condition. That way, the game will make sure you can't cheat and tell you when you reached the goal you set.

Hi pack! We discussed with the whole team and these are the results of the second community voting The following features will be implemented in the next update! More customization options for sandbox mode Unlock gene menu notifications Insectivorous nichelings New gene: Bat Head New gene: Savanna Horns Customizable and Programmable Gem Colors * Please note that this feature will be added in a way simpler way than suggested. Players will have the option to write down color codes in a special file in their game's folder. Additionally the new update will feature: New gene: Bat Wings (We already prepared these for the flight update) 2 new bears (These are Kickstarter rewards) Customizable animal names (Since we have customizable gem colors, this is a very low effort task. Players will have the option to write down names in a special file in their game's folder.) How where these features chosen? We evaluated the 20 highest rated features based on their effort in the sectors programming / art / game design. Higher voted features are priorised. The highest rated suggestion "More customization options for sandbox mode" is a big feature with a very high programming effort. So all other features chosen were required to have very low programming effort. We hope to release the next update in Q1 2019. Heyo ^^ @Skysplash8 Savannah trees are currently the only ones that give shade. But I agree that we could add this to the other trees too In other biomes than the savanna, the mechanic will not be so relevant though. It's rare that animals are too hot in grass biomes.

@ChasingNyx Well, each wild animal (Wild Nichelings, Ram Foxes, Bearyenas,...) have motivations. A motivation can be fear, hunger, longing for companionship etc. The computer calculates which motivation is how high and the animal then executes the fitting behaviour. Bearyenas don't attack poisonous animals, animals with spiky body or animals with distateful apprerance UNLESS they haven't eaten in a long time and therefore are very hungry. In this case, they ignore everything and just attack you anyways. But there is no way to tell in the if a Bearyena is super hungry or not which is a shame ^^
