!!TRIGGER WARNING(S): MENTIONED/IMPLIED DEATH, EVIL BRITISH CHARACTERS (/j)!!
The full moon slowly rose in the sky as eight cats stood on a tall rock, four trees that seemed to almost touch the sky surrounding them along with a crowd of many cats, their pelts overlapping each other. The air was tense, the atmosphere so dense that a claw could cut through it as if it were soft skin. There were a few hushed whispers every now and then. One of the cats on the rock cleared their throat.
“Well, I suppose RiverClan should start.” The cat spoke. “RiverClan has been thriving this greenleaf, with lots of prey and healthy cats. What about you, ThunderClan?” They turned their head over to another cat.
The ThunderClan leader seemed old, their pelt battered and riddled with scars. They spoke up.
“ThunderClan has been doing… Not so great. There has been an increase in Twoleg traps in the area, and they recently caught and killed two of our cats, Skipperstream and Larchfur.” A few murmurs were heard in the crowd, some cats dipping their head out of respect for their lost Clanmates. The leader went on. “There also has been an increase of monster sightings at the Thunderpath, and we recently lost Smallstone to a monster. We advise all Clans to be cautious-” The leader was cut off by another cat.
“What are your warriors doing so close to the Thunderpath? You know ThunderClan territory is far from it, Milkstar.” The leader of ShadowClan herself spoke up. “If your warriors hadn’t had gone there, Smallstone would still be with your clan.”
“Relax, Tigerstar. The Gathering is a time of peace, not to argue over things that we can’t control.” The RiverClan leader responded to the bristling gray molly, to which Milkstar agreed. The WindClan leader, on the other hand, shifted their paws.
“Tigerstar does have a point, however. What were your warriors doing near the Thunderpath?”
“That is private business. Nobody else other than ThunderClan has a right to know.” The scarred molly retorted, pupils narrowed to slits.
“Rosestar! Do something!” His deputy, Darkspring hissed. Rosestar awkwardly sat there, not wanting to get involved. He looked away from the bickering cats as the WindClan leader went on.
“Your warriors were on both RiverClan and potentially WindClan territory. We have a right to know.” Milkstar went silent, presumably because she didn’t know what to say.
“...You may announce how ShadowClan is doing, Tigerstar.” Milkstar spoke.
“ShadowClan is doing well. We have a new apprentice, Shellpaw, and a new warrior, Bouldershade.”
“Shellpaw! Bouldershade!” Some cats in the crowd cheered.
“However, we have also suffered a loss… Sorrelstone sacrificed herself to get a fox run over by a monster at the Thunderpath to protect some of her other Clanmates who were on patrol. We will forever honor her courage and selflessness, as she hunts with StarClan now.” The leader sighed. “...Anyways, how is WindClan doing, Stonestar?” Tigerstar said, motioning towards the WindClan leader prior to the ending of her last sentence.
“There is nothing new to report, WindClan is fine other than the fact that rouges, loners and even kittypets nearby are beginning to become more hostile towards Clan cats. We believe that they are forming some sort of group to ambush, attack and kill Clan cats. Please be cautious, especially towards kittypets, they seem to be the most aggressive. WindClan has begun to set up scouting stations, and we encourage you to send out more patrols, mostly border patrols.”
The crowd began chattering as clouds slowly hovered over the moon in the sky, as if they were fat, lazy bumblebees.
“StarClan disapproves of our decision, and they have covered the moon. The Gathering is over.” Tigerstar spoke. And with those words, every cat in the area began to move and head back to their respective territories. Tigerstar couldn’t help but wrinkle her snout as her thoughts raced and jumped around like toads in her head. That Gathering went horribly wrong. All because of mouse-brained ThunderClan. I need to find a way to warn them, or get rid of them if I have to. Then, she remembered. The Thunderpath… That’ll be perfect. They won’t be ready.
But we will.
tl;dr: evil gay british leader woman plans to run over kitty cats to (unintentionally) start a mass war
