GreenTheGreat
Moundwings are based off of ants. (I specifically used carpenter ants as an inspiration.) They have three classes, Minor worker, Major worker, and Queen. Each have a different appearance. They are smaller than other dragons. They also have extra legs so they can collect things with their front talons. Minor- Major- Queen- The queens do not lose their wings like actual ants do. Names- They can be named after bugs and dirt/mud/sand (Ex. Sandstone) Colonies- They make huge colonies under the ground. They do not have individual homes, instead, they have a specific chamber for sleeping. The sleeping chamber is a huge tunnel with rooms branching off to sleep in. They have multiple chambers for food. The queen's chamber is also the hatchery! Like ants, only the queen can lay eggs and therefor the queen keeps all the eggs in her chamber. Hive-mind (sort of)- They have a sort of hive-mind effect, but the effected dragon is not fully out of control, they just get the feeling to do whatever it is. They can all do it, no matter rank, but the queen has the strongest effect. It is usually a smell that triggers it. They can't do it on a higher rank than theirs and it does not work on babies. Colors/marking/special markings- This species of moundwings are usually blacks, grays, and browns. Major's pincers are usually a dark, red-brown. Horns are always browns. The queen always has a golden mark on her forehead, back, or abdomen. The wings on the queen are usually an orangey-yellow. The queen's personal minors and majors have golden antennae-tips. Jobs- Minors collect food outside. Majors protect the minors while finding food and guard all entrances to the colony. The queen produces eggs. The queen's minors tend to eggs and bring food from the stores to the queen. The queen's majors guard her and the eggs. Special powers- Extra long antennae gives extra sensing power (Minor + Major) Full Hive mind makes it so the hive-mind ability gives complete control over the affected dragon (queen) Species- What do you mean? Isn't this already a species? That's where you are wrong! This is a tribe, there are many varieties inside the tribe. This specific moundwing species has features based on carpenter ants, while another may be based on leaf-cutter ants. You may use this tribe for your own sims and rps! Show me your own species based on other ants! Any suggestions? Tell me!

GreenTheGreat
ALSO somethin cool, because queens only have to mate once for life, if one were to mate with a different tribe, The whole colony would be hybrids!
