Nightfire
A Poisonous Price If you're a bit sensitive to descriptive injuries, have caution while reading this one! Iris sat down to have her child, finally. Slasher watched Emu with a cold expression. Evergreen's face was unreadable. Mud whispered something to Laika, who watched Slasher with a bright expression.. Meanwhile, Horizon and the rest of Secretive Red Gang came down from the mountain, back towards the rest of the Burnings. Iris had her child, of whom had the ability to block attacks as did Sakura. HECK YAA I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO CHEAT IT IN But also, if the child had dominant Armored Body, that meant its recessive body was something incredibly valuable. Hmmmm... Her child was named Carrion (First thing that came to mind when I saw him) Fire Opal also had a child of immense value; a venomous-bodied yellow-blue nicheling (She's gorgeous) Fire Opal: "We'll name her Fire Jade." Moose raised an eyebrow: "Why? That's like your name." Ruby: "Just go along with it." Moose didn't argue. Forest: "Where did Slasher go?" Emu looked around the camp, and sighed: "I'll find him." Iris: "Be careful, it's quite cold." Emu: "I'm aware." Parrot went forwards. He had a feeling something bad was about to happen. Forest and Emu looked around in the snows. When suddenly- Slasher leaped out of the snows. He instantly sliced Emu's flank, about to go in for a killing blow.. When Evergreen leaped behind him. The clearing had erupted into screeches of shock and anger. Slasher was holding Evergreen's venomous mouth up, but she hit him with her claw. Slasher turned to Forest as Mud and Laika jumped towards Emu, shoving him away from Slasher. Before he could kill the old nicheling, Parrot leaped forwards, slamming into him and sending him reeling into the seas. Evergreen stood between Mud, Laika and Emu. Suspiciously instant loyalty.. Suddenly, Evergreen opened her mouth, wider than Parrot had ever seen a nicheling do so, like a snake. Her fangs poised forwards as she pulled back her lip, and a jet-black squirt of venom hit Mud in the paw, of which he brought up to block his eyes from the poison. It took Mud a moment to realize what had happened. But when he did, it was obvious. The nicheling began screeching in agony as the venom began to crawl up towards his fingers and wrist, spreading rapidly through his paw and turning it black. A few droplets of the terrible liquid dripped into the snow, mixed with the blood the venom had unleashed. Mud began shaking his paw wildly, and more black poison was let free, but in its place came gushing blood. The venom began to reveal his bone, but by then, Mud had jumped into the cold sea. The bubbling venom steamed and froze instantly, covering the back of his paw in the black liquid. A dent was obvious, but if he could reach a clover or grass patch, the black venom could be torn off and heal his paw back into use without too much blood loss. The blood that had been revealed had also frozen over. Parrot was stunned. He looked towards Evergreen, of whom was looking at her work smugly. Emu looked proud and grinned with satisfaction. Slasher looked terrified of Evergreen. Evergreen came down towards Slasher. Evergreen: "Surrender, or I'll melt out your eyes." Slasher looked towards Mud's injured and flinched. He then looked at Emu. Emu: "We'll keep them as prisoners. But for now.." He looked towards Evergreen with a sickening smirk. Emu: "I think I know who will be at the front lines when we eradicate the Burnings. Moose better be counting his days.. a weapon this powerful would be brilliant in battle." "Umm.." Iris looked towards Mud with a pitying yet angered expression. Those two were raised together.. this battle must've absolutely ruined Iris: "What about Tiger's Eye?" Emu exchanged a glance with Almond: "I'm glad you asked. She's probably accepted the Burnings as her new Empire by now, along with Salvador and Horizon. She's dead to us at this point. Another nicheling to kill." Parrot felt a tear at his heart. We couldn't protect them from the wrath of the Burnings.. and they're going to pay the price for it. Although Parrot knew his loyalty to the Frozens came first, saving Tiger's Eye and her siblings from the Burnings seemed just as important. They've been captured for our mistake. We need to help them get out. But little did Parrot know, he might've been too late in saving them. 2

If you want the frozens to win, play dirty I don't know Firecracker's recessive genes, but Emu has guaranteed saber fangs and digging trunk recessive, and his siblings all have recessive digging trunk. Now we know if another heat body nicheling rolls up, Iris can become mates with it and we can get more armored body. But I have run into rogues before with heat body, so it's unsurprising there's one with heat body recessively. So hopefully we can get more rare and unnatural genes as we continue the playthrough :D

Nightfire
The Slice from the Stars Perspectives of Arctic and Emu. A balance bear had shown up to annoy the Burnings. What a surprise. Arctic watched it with terrified courage. How could they take down something this powerful? Their father, Moose, had claimed that he and Fire Opal had taken one down before, but they always thought it was a lie. Now, they hoped it wasn't. Tiger's Eye also invited a wanderer named Bronze into the Burnings. Genes above. Meanwhile, Emu and the Frozens were preparing what they would do to the traitors. Emu couldn't even fathom anyone possibly betraying him and Firecracker. After all, if anything he ever did was bad. All his life, Emu's actions had no consequence. He was always loved for his immense strength and strong battle abilities. He hadn't understood loss. Which was why he feared nothing. But now? As he sits here, injured? He was simply wanting one thing; vengeance. Sadly, his sister, Forest, had passed away. He would have to avenge her. He had heard of a time when Forest was like him; but, according to Parrot, she had found him and rescued him from balance bears and the Burnings. Although he pitied Parrot for his beginnings, he couldn't help but feel as if Parrot was responsible for Forest's softness. But no matter what, one thing was clear; Emu needed to stop Slasher. He and his forces descended towards Slasher and his forces. Parrot and Hurricane were talking to each other, and Hurricane eventually admitted that she liked him. But because Night is horrid at writing romance and get uncomfortable in their own creation while attempting to do so, they became mates with no further detail. Slasher and Emu stared each other down coldly. The meat is from a fleshmonster of whom was in the way Slasher growled: "If I can't be the leader of this tribe, nobody can." He suddenly descended down on Emu like an avalanche. Meanwhile, Fire Opal had her next child. Arctic had heard something in the snows, and went to check it out. Another balance bear had come down to the Burnings. They were surrounded. Salvador also ran into a young child. Although she was newborn, there was something haunting in her eyes. As if Arctic had met her before. But then again.. there was no such nicheling they've ever heard of named Fox Heart, with these genes. I must be imagining things. But Fox Heart, although only a day old, had walked these lands for hundreds of years. A vengeful spirit, in the form of an innocent child, would crush every last inch of the mountain. But nobody would be prepared for what was going to happen next. Will be having another exposition post after this 1
Nightfire
Exposition time woooo Who is Fox Heart? Fox Heart is a reoccurring nicheling in a lot of my tribes. In fact, almost every tribe I play for upwards of 100 days has a Fox Heart. A long time ago, back in one of the first games I'd ever made, a nicheling named Fox Heart was born. She was incredibly powerful in her first form. Back then, I played the game to have fun, so she wasn't a villain. In a later game, when I had been dabbling in lore, a nicheling almost identical to her showed up. I named her Fox Heart once again, and she was a villain; she would drown other nichelings in a bay. After she died, I had her again, and created her own lore; A long time ago, Fox Heart had been abandoned by her family when they left to a new island. She was adopted by a group of ramfoxes (hence name) and learned their ways of life. When she died, she swore vengeance against any and all tribes. She possesses the bodies of children upon their birth and causes terror to the tribe in that form, before dying and finding someone else. Her spirit is what I call a Constellation Wanderer, where they go from different tribe's constellations (where their dead spirits are) and can join into the tribe, revived. So far, there's only 5, all from one of my greatest tribes ever created, the Moons tribe; Fox Heart, Luna Moon, Courage Moon, Dapple Moon, and Rain Moon. Fox Heart is the only villain, so she shows up the most. The others don't keep the same name. Luna Moon shows up in nichelings who are destined to become heroes, and she's actually been in the form of Sycamore, including after I knew she was sick; which is one reason why she saved Truffle and Brownie. Courage Moon is for strong and courageous nichelings (possibly Emu or Bronze since they have similar color and genes, but not certain just yet). Dapple Moon is for nichelings with unique and beautiful patterns. Rain Moon is for kind and caring nichelings, particularly mothers. If a child dies, I like to think she's the one who brings them to the afterlife. Maybe I'll talk more about the Moons tribe in the future. Nobody has ever heard of Fox Heart, but everyone knows her name. She made sure that any tales of a villain named Fox Heart were gone by erasing them from the minds of others. Everyone knows her name from the tales before they're erased, but can't remember why they hate her. Therefore, they don't. Here's a Fox Heart from another story-heavy tribe I have. This is her original colors but wrong pattern and genes. By now, she's diversified to possessing any nicheling she desires, and not just her clones. Anyway, that's about it on Fox Heart. And yes, the balance bears were natural, although I'd like to imagine Fox Heart brought them there. Maybe even the Frozen Empire mountain is the mountain she was raised on. Maybe she even summoned the ramfoxes and balance bears that had killed everyone in the past. But who knows what she'll do now that she can cause direct pain? 1

Nightfire
Void-Black Venom At the end of this one, another pretty graphic explanation. Be cautious! I lost a screenshot; basically, Emu was hit on the head causing quite severe damage, and Evergreen had pinned down Slasher. She then spat venom on his face and he threw her off him. Carrion ran up and held him down thanks to armored body, and Slasher died. Arctic stared up at the threatening balance bear; they were terrified. But, if they wanted to prove themself, they would need to help defeat it. Terrified and determind, Arctic prepared for their first battle. Evergreen and Emu watched Mud and Laika with malicious intent. Emu grabbed Slasher's skull and threw it past the duo, and it drifted steadily away from the shore. The balance bears descended towards the Burnings. Their numbers wouldn't survive this; they would need to get out as quickly as possible. But with 2 children, how was that possible? Mud and Laika, meanwhile, took a burst of speed and ran off into the snows. Emu: "After them!" Evergreen outpaced him, and spat a lob of poison towards them; it missed and hit the snows. But Parrot had a feeling that it was intentional. Fearless then came up; they lashed out at Laika, trying to hold her back, but Laika pulled herself upwards and rammed into Fearless; the young nicheling was cushioned by the snows, but coughed up a bit of blood. Firecracker prepared to have her 2nd child. Parrot had a feeling that something was about to go wrong.. On the other side of the mountain, a balance bear attempted to hit Bronze, but the spiky nicheling jumped out of the way. Arctic thought he was quite a powerful fighter by his movements. Very useful for us. He would be made to sit around and be useless with the Frozens. Arctic had heard all the tales about how weak and pacifistic the Frozens were. But they didn't know that the Frozens were in the middle of their own wars. And a vicious, venom-bearing nicheling with a void-black heart had closed her sharp claws around the Frozens in pursuit of her own ambitions. Parrot heard a cry of terror from Emu, and raced off his stump to investigate. Emu's body was slumped over the rock, his stomach ripped open and blood staining the pointed peak of the stone. His mouth was wide open, his saber-fangs dug into the ground and leaking blood onto the snow. Evergreen grabbed onto Firecracker, her fangs pointed; holding Firecracker's claw down and pinning her with ease thanks to her pregnancy, she pointed down her fangs and pulled back her bottom lip. Black venom dropped like melted icicle onto Firecracker's forehead, immediately melting in as her heated body tried to fight the poison, to no avail. Evergreen watched Firecracker writhe and struggle before hearing a gasp of horror from Parrot. She slowly turned, to face the pink nicheling with her fangs bared. Parrot then, without thought, pounced towards the maniacal female, and his eyes were met with void-black venom. Blundering sideways, Parrot fell into the snows beside Evergreen. He didn't know much in the moment, but there was one thing he remembered before his mind went black; he knew he wasn't going to make it out of this alive.

Nightfire
The Dance of Death Graphic description in the beginning of this one, read with caution! As Parrot sprung towards Evergreen, she pulled her teeth back and summoned a glob of venom, shooting it like a bullet at Parrot's face. The poison reached inside of his mouth, as a few droplets landed on his snout. The pink nicheling immediately blundered and shut his mouth tightly. Falling onto the snows, he opened his mouth, violently coughing, but only blood came out. The skin around the back of his mouth and muzzle started dissolving, and he shrieked in pain, but no noise came out. Evergreen turned away from him, and for the first time, fear glinted in her eyes. Evergreen herself was fearless. As in, she had no known fears. But she did fear one thing; herself. The brown nicheling was sacred; she was the only one on the mountain with the ability of venom, something her mother, Almond, had told her constantly. She was so powerful, she feared her own power. One thing she didn't know, was that Almond had another child with Evergreen's gift; of which said nicheling considered a curse. Tiger's Eye suddenly saw Moose, huddled against a tree, growling at the vicious balance bear. She hesitated. Tiger couldn't fight; she had no desire too. But Moose had taken her and her siblings from their family. Moose had allowed his mate to kill Tiger's father. How could she possibly want to save him? But deep down, she did want to save him. After all, she had heard of Quartz's treachery all her early life. Moose and Onion always talked up about Quartz and how she had 'saved' him from Hare and Thornbush's lies. She knew, deep down, that Moose didn't actually want this. Quartz made him think he wanted this. Curling back her lip, Tiger stared at the balance bear as she prepared to use her cursed ability for the first time. The balance bear turned to her, and ran towards her, preparing to strike her down before she could venom him. Instead, the poison shot quickly, straight into the balance bear's eyes. It fumbled backwards and fell on its back, and Tiger watched in shock, although in awe, as it quickly ate up at the balance bear's head. Evergreen turned back to Firecracker. With a quick shove, Firecracker descended into the cold seas as the currents blew her backwards. Firecracker grabbed a water breathing fruit on her way out to the ocean. With a grin, Evergreen scampered away to commit more war crimes. Somewhere else on the mountain, Onion and Fire Ruby were wondering what to do with Fire Jade. Eventually, Onion roughly shoved Fire Jade into the hotsprings. He then dropped a rock on her tail, and dropped several berries besides her. Fire Jade squeaked with boiling rage. Onion: "Leave her." He turned to Fire Jade, who stared daggers at him: "Stay here." The two ran off into the snows, leaving the small gray child all alone. When they came up to the group, they were surprised to see the first balance bear's melted body, replaced by a pile of meat. What weapon could have done this? On the way away from a massacre, Evergreen encountered the children and the escapees. She nodded at Laika, and Fearless suspected something had been planned. Evergreen: "Emu and Firecracker went to find you all. I came after you guys since I heard a bunch of screeching." "This one points aggressively at Mud is incredibly loud." Is the response from Laika. "It's not my fault someone points aggressively at Evergreen melted my foot off. It hurts, y'know." Laika rolled her eyes, but didn't comment. The Burnings managed to defeat the remaining balance bear. Onion thought he should speak up about Fire Jade, but then again, nobody had even mentioned her during their escape. And plus, Fire Jade was just another mouth to feed.. right? . Somewhere else on the mountain, a soaking, black-furred female with yellow spikes and a pregnant belly rose up on the shores of the mountain. A young, gray female child with a twisted snout tore her tail free of a heavy rock made to keep her in line. A spotted brown female with a newborn child the color of a pomegranate questioned where her mate was. One thing was clear; all three females wanted vengeance for those they had lost. . Also, just gonna say this here, in some cultures, pomegranates represent death, power, etc. 1
