__________________________ Posted December 11, 2020 Share Posted December 11, 2020 "It's been two moons.. alone, abandoned.. they're coming for me.. they're coming.. 3.. 2.. 1.." the gray she-cat counted down, being pounced on and killed. The killers left the body, covered in blood, scratches, bleeding out.. ~*~ "Is it done?" a she-cat, as dark as night, asked her companions Three nodded, one hesitated "Echo?" the dark she-cat got the other cats' attention "Yes, Shadowclaw?" the hesitating cat answered warily "I know you have issues, but that shouldn't stop you from following orders." the dark she-cat, Shadowclaw, stated "Of course.." "Now, is the job done?" "Yes, ma'am.." "Good." she said, taking her eyes of Echo and to her other "'friends'" "Mouse, you are to show up at MistClan. Night, you are to show up at JaguarClan. Leaf, you are to show up at BadgerClan. And Echo, you are to show up at my clan, BatClan." The four cats nodded, going their separate ways, all except Shadowclaw and Echo, who were traveling together Once they reached BatClan, Shadowclaw told Echo to wait for her by the stream, so she can fake going on patrol. A few moments later, Shadowclaw and a couple other cats showed up, Echo got scared, ready to flee. "Hey! What are you doing here?" a pale tabby tom asked "I-I.." Echo studdered, eyes widened in fear "3.. 2.. 1.." Echo repeated the countdown the cat she had killed said The tom tilted his head, confused "I-I'm Echo.." she introduced herself calmly, but wary of them "Well, "Echo", we need you to come with us to meet Crowstar." the tom flicked his tail to two other cats, Shadowclaw went to Echo's side, and whispered: "Don't say anything, about anything that happened." the rouge's leader told her "Of course.." Echo had her tail down, her ears back, as she responded ~*~ "Who is this?" a dark gray-blackish she-cat asked, sitting in her nest "This is a rouge we found on patrol, Crowstar." the pale tabby tom answered "Then what is she doing here?" the new she-cat, apparently Crowstar, asked "Well.. she was willing to tell us her name, and she didn't flee, so we didn't have to give chase." the tom answered "She will make a fine warrior." Crowstar stood, exiting her den, and calling for her friends and family to meet with her The patrol and Echo exited the den "Cats of BatClan, our border patrol came across a rouge, she has proven herself to be strong." Crowstar started She pause as mummers erupted, with a flick of her tail, they quieted, allowing her to speak "I believe she will be a great warrior." she continued "So, if she accepts it," she opened her mouth to say the rouge's name, but she realized she didn't know She turned to the patrol, the pale tabby tom spoke, only to be cut of by the cat herself "Echo. My name is Echo." The leader nodded, turning back to her clan "If Echo accepts this, her official warrior name, shall be: Echomist, in honor of her misted pelt." It was true, Echo was a misty-blue cat. Echo, now Echomist, nodded, accepting her new name. Not because Shadowclaw was forcing her, but because she felt as if she found her new home.. "Echomist! Echomist! Echomist!" the crowd cheered Crowstar called for silence before turning to Echomist, "Is there something you would like to say to your new clanmates?" Echomist nodded, going to where her new leader was: "I am honored to be apart of your clan. And.. there are only numbers I would like to say," Echomist sat down The crowd was confused "3.. 2.. 1.." she counted down again The crowd was even more confused than ever, including Shadowclaw and Crowstar.. Echomist nodded, letting the leader know she was finished Crowstar dismissed the meeting before going back to her den Shadowclaw went to a den, along with most of the patrol, one tom stayed He had a juniper colored pelt, dark blue stripped patterns, and light green eyes He stood, staring at the newly appointed warrior "H-hello..?" Echomist was confused now The juniper tom shook himself, bounding off to the den the rest of the patrol disappeared into Echomist went to the center of the clearing, staying quiet Yet she didn't know about the vigils, she just didn't feel like sleeping And the silence was nice, she was never left alone in the alleyways. Plus, she could look at the moon and stars from here..
