I have a niche storymode playthrough on youtube but...

Hey here's episode 20:

In this episode Laelana falls in love with the bearyena that sought her out as soon as she becomes an adult. She breeds with the bearyena, creating a line that will hopefully give our creatures some strong genes to fight off other bearyenas and threats in the future. Also, I roll for Dondon's motives in betraying his brother and find he is pretty much a psycopath, since he literally killed his brother by not healing him and tried to take his mate only because he was angry at a small thing his brother did wrong. Meanwhile, the red blue yellow line begins their great migration, leaving the Yellow Line island and going to Nuvan's island, from which they will probably head to yet another island, and the representatives from family lines on Yellow Line island begin to cross over to Nuvan's Island too, from which they will head to Crossing Point for the meeting. Oh and btw sorry about white noise in background, gonna try and mess around in recording settings to try and get rid of it.

(Also this has a really long description and isn't going to be the last or longest.....and BEARYENA BABIES YAY...sadly the dice have made Loelana's family against them)

Episode 21 before I go to bed:

Anyways, in this episode Mememe's children continue their migration from Dukduk's island to the island of Mememe, the final island before we can leave the Archipelago. Dondon continues up the coastline of his brother's island, searching for a potential island to settle on or a female through which he can continue his family line. Loelana's sister-in-law (her only family around at the moment) tells her that she isn't allowed to mate with the Bearyena again, but she can stay and have her child. Loelana decides she will try and stay with her family, but sneak behind their back to be with her love the Bearyena. Vanduk continues in his quest to find Siko, (who I just now realized is named after her mother, founder of the green-blue line), but Prirrolur and Siko become mates, so unbeknownst to him his quest is in vain.

(A bit sad and also a bit squished and bad quality, but some good story!)

I just recorded the next episode! I should be uploading it tomorrow to youtube so stay tuned! I didn't get as much done as I wanted storywise (and it was a bit long) but the game threw some curve-balls at me.

Also, here's episode 22 (not the recently recorded one, just for those following along on here):

Description:
First of all, I tried to edit it and take off the beginning and the pause, but then my video editing software which I thought was free-ware wouldn't let me export my edit without buying their software since it was apparently a demo despite my research on sites which said it was free. So mind the pauses, they're only a few seconds long and cannot be edited out until I get a new video editing software that actually is free.

In this video, it rains again, which is fitting. The niche creatures gather as many berries as they can in preparation for something they do not yet know will eventually occur, leaving the archipelago. It's not happening quite yet, but next episode will be the long-anticipated meeting of the family lines at Crossing Point. Shortly after that we will leave for the next island (hopefully anyways). I am going to use commands/cheats in order to transport any remaining representatives to Crossing Point before the next episode. Also, Kola finds Dondon still on the island he is banished from, and there is a struggle in which he falls into the water. I'm going to put him on an island, (carried by waves and ocean currents) using commands as well in preparation for my story plans for him.

(As you can see, this episode was an important one as I prepared for the Meeting Of The Family Lines and for Dondon the Psychopath's story!)

Here's the long-awaited meeting of the family lines! I'm trying to get this thread caught up to where the playthrough is on youtube:

There's a couple unseemly pauses since my hotkeys still don't work and I don't have a new editing software yet. :( Also the end when I'm just doing like three outtros cause I can't pause or stop the recording (major oof)

In this episode, finally all the Representatives are at Crossing Point to have the meeting of the family lines. (I have teleported half of them there using commands). In the subsequent meeting, they discover that the child that each family line tells their children about in stories is actually named Adam and he's related to them. They also realize that they must keep heading north and going to new islands, and it all has something to do with Adam... Each family line must send more representatives to the northern-most island that as far as they know is un-settled, in order to find another rock path to continue their journey North. They do not know if they'll succeed, but they cannot deny the call inside. So they agree that they will each go back to their family lines and tell them to send more representatives. Then the meeting disperses and nichelings begin going back to their respective family lines. Meanwhile, (and at the beginning of the episode), Dondon and Kola have a struggle in which Dondon is pushed into the ocean, getting temporarily knocked out and taking damage. He ends up on the island he meant to avoid, but having little time left he takes advantage of this in order to get help from the local purr-snout creature. Then he decides he might as well go on with his devious plan, but not with the first female he sees...he continues down Long Island, looking for a suitable target. And then finds one at the very end of the island near the traveling port.

I just recorded episode 31! As usual, here's a past episode for those following along on here:

In this episode representatives from the Meeting of The Family Lines at Crossing Point continue to go back to their respective family groups. Roprino goes back to his siblings (the red-blue-yellow line) and tells them what he found out about the meeting. Miisla is excited, Prinu thinks the meeting was a waste of time. The siblings continue on to Dukduk's island. Several games of tag are played. Males on Yellow Island play match-maker for poor Vanduk and he gives up on his dreams of finding Siko to become mates with Iskois. Takulur leaves his wife to deal with the Loelana problem on her own, angry she let their daughter who leave for the Meeting at Crossing Point and deciding to go try and find her. Ralala escorts Siko's young child back to her nest after Siko passes away. But last and not least, I made a huge mistake. I don't even realize it until the last third of the episode. Dondon the psychopath dies, (I think cause every time I leave my game the purr effect goes away), even though I had large story ambitions.

(Of course I find later that his death was entirely due to mistakes and misconceptions on my part, and I end up reviving him)

And as I'm trying to catch this up to the current point in my playthrough, here's episode 25 as well:

A few representatives from the Meeting of The Family Lines at Crossing Point get back to their respective family lines and tell them what was learned and decided at the meeting. They include those from Arrival Island and those from Nuvan's island. The eldest nichelings of Arrival Island have a meeting to discuss what was learned and decide they will try and send representatives to the Northern-most island. The representatives from Yellow Line Island and Rekoana's island, as well as Priduk and his family, start leaving Crossing Point. Some of them drowning in the process. The games of tag from last episode largely break up or morph in some way. Some creatures on Yellow Line Island start playing hide and seek, while those with digging ability showcase their skill to dig up roots flawlessly first try. Some new romances develop, and Kunu and Aname finally have a child!

Episode 26:

In this video there's alot of lag and my game freezes in the end (victim to my many open browser tabs and impatience with a mouse). Regardless, I trek on through most of the video and the game freezes for good in the end but I exit and my progress is saved. Also I think the sound quality of this video is pretty bad but let me know what you think.

Storywise, the pink-red line recognizes Kunu and Aname as their torch-bearers just before Analako dies. Meana starts thinking about starting a family line of her own to send to the next island. The yellow-orange/red line twins Reme and Mera bug their responsible berry-picking big brother and Isranna to play with them. As twins born to the pink-red line breeding creatures that have traveled all the way to the Island of Mememe are traumatized when their mother kills a bunny that was cuddling with them. Mememe's decedents also start a bunny exterminating campaign as I rush to gather berries from last episodes rain storm. On Nuvan's island, Isana gathers together creatures of the green and pink-blue lines to have a meeting and decide on breeding creatures and representatives to send to the northern-most island. Three green-line nichelings want to be breeding creatures, but Elko the cracker-jawed female is picked by Isana. Some interesting dice rolls then set up drama for next episode as my game freezes. Also, Priduk's family continues the treacherous crossing from Crossing Point to Nuvan's Island. And the red-blue-yellow line lines up carefully to do it's crossing next turn, as Miisla rushes ahead into the waves incurring drowning damage. And another long-awaited love is consummated as Raellen and Priku mate after making the crossing to from Crossing Point to Nuvan's Island.

Episode 27:

Anarame hunts a bunny and Loelana points to that as a defense of her daughter. Ralala brings Lenanami back to her father Prirolur, who is saddened to learn of his mate's death but glad to have a child. The green line's new leader Elko wants a certain male as a mate, and decides to force him through brute militant force when rejected, creating a crevice between her line and the pink-blue line.

(that's the shortest description in a while lol)

Episode 28:

In this episode, the green line continue to attack the red-blue-yellow line siblings after they refuse to leave the brother Elko is in love with behind to be her mate. Miisla is already in the water and doesn't know what's going on. Prinu tells his siblings to swim across, despite not being prepared or strong enough to make the crossing in one turn. The siblings take some water damage overnight but get out the next day. Prinu, meanwhile, cannot make the crossing since he is too tired and the ocean currents too strong and gets apprehended by Mita and Nokirvan, who fall in love with eachother even though they are siblings. Prinu is taken prisoner and heavily guarded and Elko mates with him. Lais sees the whole thing as her and Nuno travel home. Rokir sees his son returning from the meeting and rejoices. Prinu of the pink-pink line gets 3 more days on his life as I roll for that since he is a pink-line creature. His children have a chance of longer lifespan too. Mememe's children run into the other inhabitants of the Island of Mememe (red-pink line family).

Episode 29:

In this episode, Loelana sneaks away to try and find her mate the bearyena. She succeeds, since the bearyena reappeared just a couple turns ago. The bearyena had stared at a member of the red line for a long time, indicating perhaps that he was interested, but the young female ran away. Then the bearyena left, and Loelana was sneaking away about that time and saw him in the distance. It was a happy reunion, but who knows how Ralala will react... In other news, on Arrival Island a random wanderer comes out of literally no-where, perhaps out of the ocean or a patch of grass where they were somehow unnoticed for days. His name is Taduk, and despite not having the best genetics he's invited into the tribe. Over on Nuvan's Island Elko is not satisfied with only Prinu as her slave, she wants more mates. So she tells Mita and Nokirvan to go to Dukduk's Island and get more males of Prinu's line. Prinu tries to convince her to change her mind, promising to not run away and be a good mate or slave or whatever so long as she leaves his siblings alone, but she is unconvinced. Prinu thus runs away, and the crossing called Dukduk's Death is filled with drowning creatures once more as they all try and get to Prinu's Sacrifice/Dukduk's Island in an epic chase and for various reasons. Nokirvan fears for Mita's life as she struggles to breathe and swim across the channel.

Episode 30:

In this episode I frantically collect berries on all the islands, delaying my story plans; the rain comes which makes it worse. The dice decide the fate of several nichelings which are in the stormy waves, as I apply commands accordingly. Nokirvan drags Mita from the waves (the storm helps push her back towards shore), Elko comes over to make sure the two are alright and Nokirvan prepares himself to make a request. The ocean gets more violent as the storm continues. On Long Island, our first sick nicheling is born. Product of the blue-pink breeding line which I didn't realize could have double-I babies. Their parents have never dealt with sickness before, and will probably make some mistakes before they learn its dangers. Taduk (on Arrival Island) reveals some of his secrets as he shows his hunting prowess and explains he cannot even collect a single berry because he doesn't have the paws for it. Vanno passes away and Meismi his mate will die next turn, leaving the children of the Yellow-Orange (or yellow-red) line on Pink Kingdom Island orphans. Takulur with the help of the ocean waves makes the crossing from Rekoana-Bearyena Island to Yellow Line Island, meeting his daughter Talenel on the other side. It is Aname's last day to live, and her and Kunu have only had two children. Hopefully, these two will carry on their parents' legacy.

Episode 31:

The first ever real battle of the playthrough occurs as the green line, including Elko, continues to chase the red-blue-yellow line siblings through Dukduk's Death Crossing onto the tiny island that Mememe once raised her children on. Though called different names by the two different sides, this island, and battle, is sure to hold a significant place in each of their histories. Before crossing over, Elko gave permission to Nokirvan to mate the unconscious Mita in case they all die, so there will be an heir who will hopefully be able to be a mate for her son. Prinu makes the crossing and tells his siblings to run. Roprino purrs for him and they run for their lives. Miisla has a breif fight with Elko before being persuaded to follow the rest of her siblings. With Elko and her loyal siblings gone fighting a battle, the rest of the inhabitants of Nuvan's Island, (including Prinu and his family) decide to make a run for it, hoping to escape before Elko gets back. They debate whether to leave behind Elko's son and heir or bring him, thwarting her plans. Some perfer to kill him, though the breeding female of the pink-blue line, Reel, protects him. Meanwhile, on Yellow Line Island Rokir and Nuno have a heart to heart father-son talk and forgive eachother, and Vanduk is finally properly buried. At Rekoana's-Bearyena Island, Takulur and Talenel return home and a family is reunited, but Ralala and Takulur are still mad at eachother. Loelana also has the second ever bearyena hybrid baby!

Episode 32:

In this video a great exodus occurs as pink-blue-pink and pink-pink-green (Priduk’s family) lines escape from Nuvan’s Island fleeing to Yellow Line Island. Reel wants to take Nukuduk with them but he wants to stay with his family and her mate convinces her it isn’t worth the extra time and trouble as they flee the island. The yellow-blue-green siblings (children of Mememe) agree to hide Priduk and his siblings of the red-blue-yellow line. Reme tries to impress Taduk by hunting a bunny, she can’t kill it in one swipe so Taduk isn’t very impressed at first, but she promises him that if she keeps an eye on it he’ll be impressed the next day. Kirnu and Meana breed again as I take a closer look at their first child Sime. Tadukro decides they must go to another island to find a new leader, deciding none of his children should lead for reasons unclear. He does, however, say that whoever finds the new leader can be their mate. His two eldest children set out for the task, Vanlurno hoping to win, Mielel just glad she doesn’t have to be the leader. Mirais tells Vandon, her son and heir to the Pink Kingdom, the story of Dondon’s betrayal and changes his name to Vanduk. Kirro and his sons find the orphans on the northern half of Pink Kingdom Island. The nichelings traveling to the Northernmost Island (The Island of Mememe) begin to be chosen out of their respective family lines. Iskois arranges a marriage between her daughter Iselta and Talurro before passing away.

Episode 33:

In this episode Ralala discovers that Loelana had a second bearyena child behind her back. She wants to kill the friendly bearyena and maybe the child too. Tukulur tells his wife she is over-reacting, but she suggests they ask their siblings and see what they think of a nicheling breeding with a bearyena. If they agree that it is acceptable, Ralala won't bring it up again, if they agree it is not acceptable they kill the bearyena. Wanting to solve this issue causing conflict between him and his mate once and for all, Tukulur agrees. This may be a mute point as the bearyena dies in a couple days anyways, but it may allow Loelana to breed once more and have greater respect if they agree with Tukulur. In other news, Yellow Line island becomes like a crowded city, the most populous island as it is flooded with refugees. Coalitions and representative groups to head to the northern-most island, Island of Mememe, continue to form and travel north. Mita wakes up to find nearly everyone gone from Nuvan's Island.

Episode 34:

Despite one of her brothers about to die and the rest of them having lost much health, Elko decides to press on and fight the battle without any deals until they have won. Nokirvan thinks this is a bad idea since Dukpri is going to die next turn without the help of purring, and all of them have taken quite a bit of damage, but he decides to be loyal to Elko anyways as a matter of honor. After both sides land a couple more blows, the siblings of the Red-blue-yellow line cross to try and get to The Island of Mememe, despite Roprinu not having enough health to drown for one turn and survive. Siisana sacrifices all her turns to pull Roprino out of the water through niche commands. On Pink Kingdom Island, Melur catches a bunny and hands it to his brother Mekar who brings it to their father Kirro, and Kirro feeds it to the group of orphans they just found. Then they start bringing the orphans back towards the Pink Kingdom group, only to run into representatives of the red line from Long Island on their quest to get to the Northern-most island. Kirro recognizes them as old allies and lets them and others in the Long Island group pass through the island peacefully and without payment, though he thinks their quest is foolish. On Pink Line Island Tudukro gets an age boost of 5 days through a dice roll and is purred for by his brother, thus having enough health to make it across the crossing to Long Island and lead his children onward in their task to find the next group leader. The great exodus group from Nuvan's island and the coalition of representatives of the various yellow lines begin to leave Yellow Line Island, begging the question of whether the port on the next island, Rekoana-Bearyena Island, will be used hastily by eager explorers and/or members of the exodus, or whether it will be used by those who don't quite make the cut to use the port on the northern island and thus be a more genetically diverse group.

Please vote, especially if you've seen the most recent episode

At least one more person needs to vote in the above poll so I can continue this playthrough (I need to know whether to go towards/use the extra port with members of exodus or not)

Episode 35:

In this video, Nokirvan finally stands up to Elko after the death of their brother due to her bad leadership choices. He doesn't lead a coup, rather he tries to persuade her to see the detriment of her actions. She decides not to punish him, but not to fully admit she was wrong either. She simply agrees that the siblings they were chasing managing to escape was not victory, and she should have broached some settlement. This being said, she tells them they must try and make it back to Nuvan's Island another way than they way they came since it would kill them going back across Dukduk's Death. They agree, and she agrees she will stay on Dukduk's Island and not return to Nuvan's Island, giving up her leadership role for what days remain in her life. On Rekoanna's-Bearyena Island, the question of whether breeding with a bearyena should result in punishment and/or the death of the bearyena is answered by the majority saying it should not be punished. Loelana has won her bet and she and the bearyena will hopefully not be harrassed any longer. But while this may be right, another very wrong thing has happened on the island. Kirroduk and his daughter Tareme have mated due to a brain fart on my part. I roll to see if it was intentional, and it was. So here is another family on this island falling apart. A great crossing onto Rekoanna's-Bearyena Island is also happening, hopefully bringing new life into an island with quickly degenerating morality.

Episode 36:

In this episode many of the older generation are passing away, as once more a new generation is taking the reigns. I start trying to put together new breeding pairs, to gather food on the mini-islands, as the many groups heading to the Northern-most Island continue their journey. The friendly bearyena dies this episode, just as Loelana is finally justified. She calls her children over to mourn the death of their father now that she doesn't have to hide their existance. Meanwhile, the illegitimate child of incest on the same island (Rekoanna's-Bearyena Island) is pawned off to the group from Yellow Line Island traveling through, who are now one crossing away from their destination. A clever rabbil camoflauges itself among bones.

I think I'm going to play this off camera to make this series go a little faster. I may play 1-2 turns and then show those who are using the secondary port before they leave and any other interesting story developements. I do have an interesting story addition in mind too that I will probably set up off camera. It's gotten to be kind-of a drag on my channel and secondary to other series, but I am still committed to completing story mode and showing the ride to you all. I may just play some off camera between episodes until something exciting happens or until we get off the archipelago

Episode 37:

On Long Island, Tadukro chases down his upset son Vanlurno to try and explain that power isn't everything. Vanlurno asks that the female he had selected as leader be able to come back with them to be his mate. Tadukro thinks about it and reluctantly accepts. They prepare to head back to Pink Line Island next turn. One of the green line siblings drowns trying to cross over to Yellow Line Island in order to make it back to Nuvan's Island eventually. With their situation more desperate, Nokirvan comes up with a plan. Him and Elko will breed, and tell their child about the tragedy that has occurred; tell them to go back to their half-siblings and give them direction and a mission. Elko accepts the plan and prepares for her final child, who will hopefully set right everything that she has messed up.
