He saw a crabbit "Who are You!" He turned around to see a white-furred female hissing at him "Me? Oakstar" The female scoffed "Suuuure. And I am Whitetail" The third nicheling finally sat up and shook her fur "Oakstar?" "Blossomleaf!" "He's... actually a leader." While the two clanmates conversed, a grey nicheling stood awkwardly nearby. She squinted and then approached them "Um... Hello?" The male turned around "Oh, you." He looked at her claw "There's some fish over there" She nodded and went to the water "Wait, what's your name?" "Right! Whitetail narrowed her eyes "Sounded like a nicheling" Blossomleaf suddenly started rushing in the yowl's direction --- Blossomleaf saw a nicheling in labor while being attended by two inexperienced warriors. "Sister!" Cinderspots called her over "Thank goodness you are here! Lilyripple is kitting!" It went wrong A growl was heard, the only warning before the carnivore lunged at Batnose and threw him at the nearby rock. "No!" Maybe a bit confusing, you jump around a lot without saying things like the days and times. "From now on, you will be known as Mouseleap. We honor your quick thinking and compassion as we wlcome you as a warrior of OakClan." The newly-named Mouseleap dipped his head and went back to his spot. "Wrenpaw, step forward." At that, Whitetail looked at Oakstar doubtfully. Oakstar frowned in her direction and tilted his head. She shook her head and looked away. Wrenpaw grinned widely as he stepped forward. "From now on, you will be known as Wrenclaw. We honor your strength and resilience as we welcome you as a warrior of OakClan." Wrenclaw sat back without performing a dip until Whitetail glared at him. "Snakepaw, step forward and let's be done with this." Snakepaw looked hurt at that. "Your name's Snakefeather, we honor your bravery and loyalty as we welcome you and all. Some root-obsessed rouge they found and recruited for really no reason! Of course she'd get the weird one while Sunpaw got Cinderspots, why couldn't she get Mouseleap? He was so... sad. She thought that perhaps spending some time with his sister would lift his spirits, but Flippaw was too busy pining over Mouseleap to aknowledge her brother. Cinderspots thought that Flippaw had no future as a warrior if she kept this up, this... not caring about her clanmates. Some might say she was overreacting, that she was just an apprentice but that was exactly her point! It couldn't have been Root's fault, he was such a kind tom- "Whitetail? you seem a bit sick, maybe you should see Blossomleaf." "I already did, she said I'm expecting, Mouseleap." She was going to be a grandmother. She was going to be a grandmother. She was going to be a grandmother. She was going to be a grandmother. "What?! Mouseleap you can't do that! She's so old and I am young!" Flippaw... "Now, now. You should be happy for your clanmates." Thank the ancestors for Root. She was such an annoying vixen! Mouseleap was going to reply, but a growl cut him off. A bearyena had entered camp, and Wrenclaw was fighting it alone.
