Welp. Gonna try and beat story mode. I usually get to the jungle... let's see how this goes! Give me tips and feel free to comment.

I may add a bit of story into this at some point but at the beginning my main goal is just to survive and get started.

Something do frequently (not sure if this is good advice or not)
Stay a while on your grass adventure/peaceful meadow island. Use this time to breed ideal traits and collect genes for the mutation menu.
Get your food stores up, it really helps in the future, especially on snow or hot islands

Forgot to show the babies. Got really good luck on the grey female! (I'm mutating normal eyesight, stripes, and moss fur in preparation for the harder islands)

Also, a tip if u wanna get to the home island: always go north, if there isn't a north port, go east.

It's something that I think everyone knows, but, just in case.

A rogue male showed up while I was distracted fighting a bearyena and bred with one of my females, but i did get a friendly bearyena out of it.

Keep her! webbed hindlegs are good for the archipelago and her bad genes can easily be removed
