Sometimes the keyboard you're using can do that. Try using another keyboard or mapping the keys to get rid of their natural function

I know your pain, my laptop's "end" key is also the right arrow key. (I needed the end for a recording program)

my laptops f1 key literally just shuts it off so i cant do anything with console

try fn+f1 ? i dont remember how i got it to work for me tho but thats probably it since my laptop just mutes when i press f1 too but not when i do fn f1

yeah you have to hold fn (function key) while you press f1 for it to work
