The only way to leave is by swimming through the water on the island into the void, which is breathable. ~| The Nichelings |~ Nichelings take many forms in this, The ones you all know and love, and the Corrupted Nichelings are the main species living on these rocks.. but not the only ones. ~| The Corrupted |~ The Corrupted are nichelings who have lost the ability to travel the void and have done so anyways. When they enter the void, they will never be able to enter another island without Corrupting (or only for a limited time) Bearyeans are one type of Corrupted. MATTRESS Posted August 16, 2021 Author Share Posted August 16, 2021 Prologue A Spark in Endless Dark Nightflower watched the endless void. They have always saw it from their small island.. But to be in it.. It was amazing. "Sundance agreed that it's better to attack them then just waiting for to come here and kill us, we just need permission from you to continue the mission." Nightflower was snapped back to reality, her paw reached out over the railing towards the darkened horizon. She had been staying here in this station for the last 2 weeks, Nightflower still didn't know how they constructed it. "I grant you permission.." Nightflower remembered how much pain that place had cause her and thousands of other nichelings, But she still wasn't sure about killing them. Sundance was right, they couldn't just let them kill more nichelings. They had to do something |~| To explain this: The islands do have a day/night cycle, it's unknown why the islands do as they do not have a sun or moon the words sun and moon in this are the ancient words for Light & Dark also how did they create the structure? Okay, maybe that was the wrong word, Falling was a better one. Maybe don't fall asleep when you were traveling in the voi- "WHAT IN VOID IS THAT THING?" A voice yelled above Delusion angrily. "Lore calm down it's only a nichelin-" "FALLACY HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN IT? IT COULD TEAR YOU APART EASILY!" "Could you guys stop yelling? i'm trying to sleep..." A young sounding voice asked the angry one "SCRIPT I SWEAR I WILL RIP YOU APART RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON'T SHUT U-" "huh..? where am I..?" Delusion said drowsily. Sharp pain struck across Delusion's face as he opened his eyes "Ow!" "Lore what in the voids? Don't attack newcomers!" "I didn't know that!" "Lore please- just, go back to the clearing." 'Lore' sadly padded back through the grasses. Their younger sibling (Delusion guessed they were named Script) looked at the other nicheling in confusion, before following them. "I-I'm sorry about them.. they aren't used to newcomers.." "I'm Fallacy, those two are Script- Oh right that wound... sorr- Sorry!" 'Fallacy' said, they sound stressed "It's alright! I-I'll be fine!" "A-are you sure?" "Yeah..?" "D-do you you know who those three are?" Delusion looked behind him.. "N-No, sorry." Nightflower wasn't sure about plan but it was for the best.. right? "Are you sure this will work?" Nightflower asked Herring, the one nicheling commanding this whole battle. "According to their battles before, yes." The group of nichelings landed on the island. Cold water soaked Nightflower's paws as she slowly made her way to the snowy banks of this island. "Alright.. are we all he-" Herring was cut of as he suddenly shrieked. Herring's lifeless body dropped to the ground, Blood still bleeding from the bite wound on his neck. Nightflower looked up to see who had done this and was frozen in shock. The nichelings... The nichelings which Herring said wasn't coming were here. Nightflower wasn't really surprised, but still, Herring was dead. Just like that? Sure, she didn't know him well. Heck, she didn't know anyone here. But a death of a nicheling? so easily like that? She couldn't make this war caused more death then it already had. Nightflower ran back towards the already blackening sky, Back towards safety. Back towards what she thought was her home. She didn't look back, how much she wished to but she didn't. She was the reason this war has started. She had leave, go somewhere. Somewhere safe. But she couldn't just leave these nichelings here.. They can safe themselves Nightflower hoped they could, but it was a fleeting hope.
