If you could add one gene, what would it be?

Recommended Posts

It could be anything, a head, paw, leg, colour, pattern, eye colour or shape, body, ears

Anything

For me, it would have to be a gene that can mix the pattern types. Like having the mask pattern but also having stripes layered on top as well

Or a calico pattern

Edit: I'm changing my answer, I would want a nocturnal gene thing, like the old demo has

It's not really a gene but colors that make sense for toxic bodied nichelings...

if you mean what I think you mean most poisonous animals have very vivid colors because it's a signal in nature, like it's trying to tell a predator 'don't eat me, I'm poisonous' so I think it makes sense for toxic bodied nichelings to be coloured things like very bright orange

but you probably don't mean that and if probably is yes then I don't know what you mean.

I think she means the fact that currently the toxic body colors are randomly picked instead of depending on genetics

Ohh

XD

that would be cool but how would it work?

like @Moptimus Prime said except only the color in the top slot would count instead of the colors blending like they normally would. That way it isn't too complex and doesn't have color combinations that would cancel out the brightness
