once, there were two truly massive clans that lived in peace- mireclan and reefclan. these clans were amazingly technologically advanced, and rumors say they even made rudimentary boats to sail the sundownplace. however, many, many generations after their founding, something happened. mireclan split into woodclan in the north and orchardclan in the south, and reefclan split into shallowsclan in the west and the legendary, isolated wildclan in the east.

all advanced technological knowledge had been lost, and mireclan and reefclan became just stories the queens told their kits at dusk.

some say the remnants of the original clans, wildclan, is still out there, on an island somewhere, with all their knowledge... but that's just nonsense, right?

orchardclan cats typically loathe leaving their territory, with its bountiful fruit trees and gorgeous cherry blossoms. their camp is a small indent in the ground with various tunnels as dens. these cats mainly prey on birds and small mammals, though eat fruit as well.

shallowsclan cats love paddling in the sundownplace and racing across the wide-open plains of their territory. one of the lessons an apprentice must learn early on is how to swim. their camp is a cave in the side of a massive limestone cliff, with shell fossils in the ceiling the kits love to look up at and ask their mothers about. these cats mainly prey on fish and rabbits.

woodclan cats tend to be smaller and swifter than other clan cats, to run from the many threats that inhabit their boreal forest and redwoods territory. their camp consists of holes painstakingly carved into the redwood trees over many years. these cats mainly prey on birds and small mammals, though occasionally journey to the nearest twoleg places to find food in the colder moons.

wildclan cats are a source of great mystery. the few elders who say they've seen wildclan cats say that wildclan cats never are one particular size, or have one particular fur length- they say there were shorthaired cats, longhaired cats, and even huge cats with strange, short tails, long ear tufts, and spots.

pearstar is the leader of orchardclan. she's a rather weak leader, but she tries her best.

 

scallopstar is the leader of shallowsclan. he's serious, and has been leader for a long time, longer than some of the warriors can remember.

 

pigeonstar is the leader of woodclan. she's very kind, and always manages to keep her cats happy, no matter how little prey the winter months bring.

you wake up as usual in the warriors' den, in orchardclan's camp. you stretch in your cherry blossom petal nest, and get to your feet, careful not to wake the other sleeping warriors. you always got up earlier than everybody else in the clan, for some reason. exiting the den, you look around, indecisive as to what you should do.

-explore?

-look for flowers

walking through the forest, you almost get hit on the head by a falling apple from one of the many fruit trees near camp. you walk up to it and sniff it, but it turns out to be in the process of rotting. how sad. you continue on your walk, accidentally scaring a few squirrels up trees. you come across a patch of lilies in a small clearing.
