The latter are the only ones known to possess the fabled Animus magic, which has surfaced in King Whale and Prince Glacier. Queen Dune is worried about her newborn daughters' safety but knows she can't just send an Animus out in the world. He'd hold a grudge against them. There are no sign of what caused it, making Ray the main suspect due to being an animus. She is helping him with his gift to the tribe. Meanwhile, King Whale has FINALLY made his gift: A shell that would allow them to know how many animi are alive. There was another egg in her clutch that contained twins, though they were immediately killed (they werent even firescales).
