The Embers: The tribe that survived against the odds

Link to the challenge

After way to many tries, here are my findings:

There are two ways you can do this, using ice blocks on snow islands or using bearyena babies on any island(not sure if theyre on any island but I think so), I used the ice blocks

It is nearly impossible to do this without food cheats

If you use the ice block method, prepare to scream at many freshly un-frozen females(because you need a male)

If you use the ice block method, once you got all the ice blocks, get off that cursed ice island

If you use the ice block method and actually survive multiple generations, then go to a new ice island and you can get more nichlings/genes

If you start with a sick nichling, you're dead

If you start with frog hind legs, you're probably dead

Leaches are little murderers, stay away from water

You can mix the bearyena and ice block method, if you can survive for more then two seconds

You will start hating yourself around try #30(you probably already do if you try this challenge tho)

This challenge is very very hard but also very very fun

The attempts:

The first three screenshots are failed attempts, the next one is #54, a successful one(This one hasn't died out yet), on try #54 I: guaranteed that they would start with normal hide legs, and used food cheats, on other tries I used the gender switch cheat but not on #54, I also turned off leaches cause I kept dying to them, I did not use any other cheats

I kept trying, I still can only do it with food cheats, the next two screenshots are #62, another semi-successful try, I started with 100 food, and guaranteed that they would start with normal hide legs, I did not use any other cheats (including adding extra food later), I will beat it without any cheats at some point but it might be a bit because AAAA

#71, no cheats used:

Food is the hardest thing

Your starter has two strength which means you can hunt prey, but that's hard to do without freezing

You better hope your ice block friend can get some type of food, something they can get without freezing

Another thing you should hope for is that your ice block friend has a good amount of cold resistant, or you're probably gonna die out quickly

Have fun!

I THINK I DID IT

I say "I think" because my current tribe is not related to my starter :(

BUT OTHERWISE I DID IT, NO CHEATS

I present to you, try #78:

Our starter sadly froze to death, but not before breaking this lovely lady out of the ice

Our lovely lady ran towards the other ice on the island and broke this gentleman out

The long lost mates from a tribe long agow2.thumb.png.da42bf0c37420ef4cec4ae00aa42216f.pngThey had three kiddos, who then gave them grandbabies, Alabama stylew3.thumb.png.4a4f12534e3838db887b22d5445118dd.pngThen a balance bear decided to f-ck things upw5.thumb.png.2ff3c2f61316630e116e06d610f41908.pngSome death later, we have two preggo ladies, and the baby daddy/uncle alive w6.thumb.png.3b8d1ed1a56e0ac1d01c15adcaa0c220.pngUnfortunately both of the little ones were sick and died at birth, meanwhile the dadcle and moms were being chased by two balance bears and a mother bearyena w10.thumb.png.fe149c383adb8bc5b5679aa242c08fc1.pngFinally they got to a safe place, although one of the mamas didn't make it :( Yall know what being safe means? Next the tribe decided to get off the cursed ice islandw14.thumb.png.1a11618b27afa4a06be7e0ed5f99c066.png

Nothing interesting or dangerous happened, the island was like a heaven for the tribe

There was only 2 immunities in the tribe, which means many babies died at birth, but this became a normal part of life

The island only had enough food for about 8 nichlings at a time, so the population stayed low

Against all odds, they lived to 100 days and over 10 generations, and they are still kicking w24.png

The lads moved to a new island, it has more food which means more BABIES871666752_Screenshot(94).thumb.png.41c1cda8958049f4245b66426fe1624e.pngIncluding some bearyena babies! The bearyena in the back of the picture is not a friendly one, so the tribe dealt with that problem 2084537481_Screenshot(105).thumb.png.9a0dfda96d7c3382e13a6322e44c4e6a.pngTribe 78 is going strong, we need a nickname for the tribe now that they are stable, what should we name em?

A study of the ember species:

The ember species is a species of nichlings. They can be identified by multiple features, such as: bright red fur, large, moose like horns that are white, pink, or red in color, tan or white stripes, black or green eyes, medium length tails, big bodies with yellow spikes, platypus like snouts, and large ears

Embers have been observed to care for orphaned babies of bearyenas, and breed with them when they mature, creating hybrid nichlings

Below are samples of the average member of the embers:

These are hybrids, the final one is the child of two hybrids, making them a second generation hybrid:

Feel free to comment questions about the study, or suggestions about things to research about the embers!

The nichling species, coming back from the dead:

As you all know, the nichlings, a once prevalent and diverse species, almost went extinct. The scientists at Que Inc were following the movement of the last known nichling, a female named "Pleas". We expected the nichlings the go extinct but they survived against all odds! Pleas broke another female out of an ice block. It is unknown how Pleas knew the ice contained a living nichling, perhaps a 6th sense, or pure luck. Pleas froze to death shortly after, but the second female survived and broke a male out of the ice! They bred, and their children pulled a Alabama. The nichling species is still unstable, with only 14 living nichlings, but the scientists expect them to survive! A truly miraculous recovery!

Some images of the nichlings, taken with a drone:1925822012_Screenshot(172).thumb.png.412683dad8e7833cb3309c5abe716a2e.png411765865_Screenshot(173).thumb.png.bf015f215f6d3e29430eb479c30b7232.pngA male named Prilurvan getting curious about the ground camera:74480719_Screenshot(174).thumb.png.d9de357181018a4d3dd83ab93c7a64f7.png
