No mutations playtrough ​🐾 ...except it's a new save because I haven't done this in 4 years

We start off on grass mingle with Dinu Coralshark and Mila Rosebranch

The two start gathering food and looking for a nest

Aaand they've found one!

Meet Nomusdon Coralbranch (I have no idea what's in the custom syllables file, but clearly something)

He gets a little sister called Enenana Roseshark (woah I haven't played Niche in so long I forgot about the birds)

Dinu teaches his son to dig

The third child is called Talauvi Coralrose

The last one for now is Opdipri Roseshark, who's the first one to not have any antlers (I'm starting to suspect my sister put in transformers syllables...)

Hello there

Aaand the beast has fallen!

All of the children have grown up so it may be time to start looking for wanderers

Talauvi wanders into the grass, wondering wether or not she'll ever return home

This fellow has been eyeing Enenana for a while, but he's a bit shy

Oh great! mosquitos, just what I was looking for!

Mila and Dinu decide to have one last child before they die

The result is Dontiduk Sharkbranch, a little one who will probably be the golden child

Indeed, he was very spoiled until he became an orphan

Opditri looks after his little brother while trying to cope with his parents' deaths

The siblings gather around the bodies to grieve. (It also appears that the rogue finally got brave enough to ask Enenana out)

Meanwhile Talauvi has no idea of what has happened

Lurvansir Riverclaw joins the pack. The rogue appers to have died

Little Dontiduk is struggling to comprehend what's going on, but follows Opditri, having latched onto him

As it turns out, Lurvansir was only testing the waters. Now that he knows the tribe isn't aggressive, his brother Prikirro Rivertail knows it's safe to come out of hiding

The rogue's child, Anarelau Rosefur is finally born. Enenana isn't exactly happy with her brothers' reactions to who the father is, and is very protective of her daughter. Lurvansir and Prikirro are more accepting, having been wanderers themselves

Talauvi returns from her unsuccessful trip covered in mud

[Lilytuft]

Numusdon is happy to see his sister, while Enenana is slowly distancing herself from the family and settling down with Prikirro

[Lilytuft]

Talauvi is a bit frustrated by the fact that she spent all that time wandering when there were possible mates back home

Conversation with Lurvansir starts surprisingly easy as the two share their experiences of wandering

Nomusdon leaves the two to talk and bumbs into a stranger in the bushes. He introduces himself as Titita Spottedbird

Funnily enough, one of Enenana and Prikirro's twins is called Tidita

His brother is Tanuop. Anarelau looks at her siblings in awe. She has been raised to believe Prikirro is her father

I forgot how pretty nichelings can be! Isrelen Coralriver will definitely not be the last of Talauvi and Lurvansir's offspring!

Meanwhile Nomusdon and Titita have run into a problem

Titita explains to Nomusdon that the small bearyena doesn't have to be a threat. He offers it some food and it turns out to be friendly. Nomusdon is surprised, but happy to have something to look after now that his siblings seem to be drifting apart

Neither Enenana or her daughter have ever seen a snout so short, but Priku Rosetail will still be very loved (unlike his extended family)

Dontiduk and Opditri are just trying to keep everyone fed throughout the drama

"Titita, I need to ask you a favor"

"What is it?"

"Reunite this tribe"

"But you're the leader, right? Can't you just tell your siblings to get along"

"I don't think I'll have the time to do so. Besides, it's my fault this happened. Tell Enenenana I'm sorry for being judgemental about her choise of mate"

"B-but why me"

"You have not been involved in this fight. None of them should have anything against you. And you're a good nicheling. I trust you to change their views on each other like you changed my view of bearyenas. Take good care of Toothy"

Due to Lurvansir getting old, Opditri has to once again look after children who are about to lose a parent

Anarelau seems to have unknowingly repeated her mother's actions with this elderly rogue. However, her family will not judge

"Nomusdon? Nomusdon?! No no no not now!"

"Wait, Toothy, where are you goin- oh hi there"

"AAAAAGH! Someone help!"

"Don't worry, Toothy's friendly!"

"What? The bearyena? And who are you?"

"I'm Titita. And you?"

"I'm Talauvi. Sorry for sceaming at your... uh... friend? I've been on edge ever since my mate died and I have a newborn to protect"

"Talauvi? Nomusdon told me about you"

"You know my brother? Where is he?"

"Well... I'm sorry to tell you like this, but he died recently"

"Oh..."

"I'm looking for your sister. Anenena or something..."

"Enenana. Her nest is over that way. But she's not talking to any of us"

"Thank you. Toothy, wait here"

"Nomusdon. He asked me to tell you he's sorry for the way he treated you"

"Couldn't even bother to show up himself"

"That's... because he's dead"

"Oh, of course. That idiot" she whispered the last part in a more affectionate tone, and then, so quietly no one heard it:

"He should have just waited a day to be able to tell me himself..."

She returned to her nest.

"Take care of your little sister, will you, Tanuop?"

"Of course"

"I'm glad i got to meet my first grandchild. Musvanti is going to grow up to be a strong nicheling. Perhaps a leader, even..."
