Maybe each gene could have something special like how the digging trunk can dig. What if the bird beak had an alarm call to scare away bearyenas? Or the claw gene could climb trees if genes identical. Maybe the digging paw could dig up seeds like in my past suggestion. I just think that the game needs more to it all though is awesome.
