Rabbil Burrow, the youngest of Woodland, had adventured out a bit too far once the group started moving. She could hear her family calling her back, but something had urged her to keep moving. When she came across a hill, crawling full of bugs, she grew strangely curious. She’d poke at it, but quickly drew back when some bugs came towards her paw. She blinked, before giving an odd smile.

“I like you guys! Wanna be friends?” She’d ask, only for the termites to skitter back to their spots in line.

“You’re silly little guys! Here, I’ll help you find some leaves in the morning!”

Once she said that, she got to getting comfy within the tall grass, and eventually went to sleep next to the termite mound.

In the morning, Rabbil Burrow would awake to her new friends skittering over her paw, as well as the sight of a third gem on her chest. Oh, what a joyous day! Her friends had warmed up overnight, and she was finally an adult! She squealed in delight, though afterwards heard shifting in the grass around her.

She looked around in confusion, and out came a rogue. She hissed a bit at the putrid scent, and did her best to claw them away.

After a day of swimming through the currents to land, as instructed by their parents, two of the family members seemed to have not come back out. Firstly, their mother, who was old and slow, and then Sorrow, Grief’s sickly twin. As well, the only of the two him and Confidence seemed to care about.

On the other paw, Madness, their father, was pacing lines into the shore, Joy standing beside him, doing her best to keep him calm. What if his mate didn’t come back? Confidence was supposed to call the shots after that, but there was no proof that she was competent enough to lead the bunch. She actually had a negative point in that case, having constantly been around Sorrow.

By the next morning, Sorrow had shown up. They waited a while, though their mother hadn’t shown up, so Confidence took initiative and began to lead them deeper into the grass, asking Sorrow to keep a fair distance to avoid contagion.

As the four smelt the scent of old blood, and possibly even a decomposing nicheling, they’d begin to look around for the source, in hopes they could get rid of it. Nightshade, scared and sticking towards a bolder, had ended up attracting the smell to her based off her own smell of fear.

She’d quickly look behind her as a large shadow loomed over. Behind her had been a bearyena, carrying her sister, of whom she was told ran away. Her eyes widened in shock, her muscles freezing up.

“Crescent..?” She’d question in a whisper, her mind running wildly with thoughts that had mostly fed off her fear and adrenaline.

She felt like she should run, scream, attack- do something that wasn’t just standing there, but her body seemed to force just that.

As the bearyena raised a claw, she’d see a flash of colour barrel into its side, her father attacking wildly until it was down.
